I have been a painter for 45 years, I have learned a lot of tricks from watching your videos. I always use those spray cans of texture which are not that easy to get an even texture. Thank for everything you do.
Hi Jeffrey, thank you for continuing to watch my videos and for taking the time to comment me! Please go to www.paulstoolbox.com and send me your complete mailing information. EZ ProTexture has selected you as a winner of a Texture gun kit! Thanks again!
Hi Jeffrey, my website seems to be having trouble. Please send me your mailing info to paulstoolbox@yahoo.com. You won a EZ Protexture gun kit.. Thanks buddy!
If Paul makes a video it’s always worth watching as you’ll walk away learning something new even if your in the trades. We all can always learn a new method which often times makes you life easier.
Good morning Clint... Congratulations you won an EZ Protexture kit. Please go to www.paulstoobox.com and send me your complete mailing information. Have a great day!
Just want to say you have always been one of my top favorite TH-camr. I remember making a fence just from ur videos years ago and you always had great house repairs . Thanks for your knowledge in teaching others!
Thanks, I really appreciate you! I'm sorry for not being around for a while, I had a really rough year but coming back and hopefully staying this time...
Another great video. When hurricane Harvey flooded my house, I started watching TH-cam videos on repairing and remodeling. When I found your channel I used it exclusively. I learned so many good things, I even showed them to my general contractor for the work I was doing myself. He was impressed. I am starting a new home build in Spring, Texas. I have already given specific instructions to the builder for things he is to do based on your teachings. Next time I drive to New Orleans, I will see if we can meet. Thanks again for you teachings.
I would love to meet up John! What part of Texas do you live in? I lived in Harlingen when I was a kid and South Houston in my teens, been in the New Orleans area ever since.Have a great weekend buddy!
You always make everything look so easy with your tips and tricks! Thank you, Paul!! It's great that we're back to getting your videos regularly! Tell Elsie Hello!!!
I can't tell you how much time and money your videos have saved me. I have the same problem with the sheet rock protruding past my door and now I know how to fix it.
Thanks for another great tip. Wish I had known years ago when I was making up for gaps with caulk. Great tip on ensuring length of trim vs relying on a tape measure. Can't go wrong this way.
Thank you Ron, I plan on doing short videos to show simple tips that I've used over the years. I'm sure you have a number of tips yourself, we just use them without thinking of it.
The method you demonstrated on marking the top trim is invaluable. Using a tape measure doesn't offer the simplicity and accuracy. Another great video.
Thanks it really is , but it's not meant to take the place of a hopper. This tool is made as an add on for the professional. It's Fantastic for small jobs, patches and touch ups because you can get a professional look and be done in minutes... from set up to break down and cleanup.
Perfect timing Sir! Window casing refinish project has begun at my house and now I know how to properly fit the trim. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you Elaine, I try to explain the important things because I would get so frustrated when I wanted to learn something new and they would skim over it thinking it's common knowledge. 🙂
Some good stuff right there. I like the shimming method after cutting out the too thick drywall. Been looking at the EZ-Pro system for a while and wondering if it's any good. Now I know it is. Looking forward to getting my hands on one!
Thanks again my friend, you were added to the list for the contest. I first met JIM the president of EX Protexture a few years ago when I was renovating my mom‘s bathroom, before she passed away. JIM sent me an easy pro kit to try out and I loved it. I shot her whole bathroom with the gun and I’ve been using it since. When we first spoke, he asked me if I was a fire fighter and I told him yes in Louisiana, he was a fire fighter in California before he retired, so we hit it off. Been friends ever since. Happy Easter, God bless you and your family!
Thank you Paul. If I had the thingy that sprays the texture on the walls I might remove the popcorn ceiling!! You always give the best tips and tricks, I appreciate you very much. Hope your doing well, be blessed my friend.
Great job, Paul! Looking forward to giving that EZ Texture setup a try on my next jobsite! Using the hardboard/Masonite is a way better idea than beating down the drywall with a hammer like so many guys do!
Need that sprayer to blend in some knockdown in my master bedroom. My drywaller left me hanging halfway because he needs surgery. Like the tip on the doortrim. Have a few that need some adjusting.
You da man. I do construction and allot of finish trim. I'm missing 2 legs and 1 arm. By a train acaccident in 1991. I never thought of flipping the board upside down to mark it and perfectly at that. Thank you for making my jobs not just a little easier but allot easier for me. Always used tape measure.🦿🦿🦾

Thanks for the great information. I have been basically rebuilding our was once going to be our weekend getaway to now be our permanent home. I will save this video and be sure to subscribe to your channel.
You can take a big cable tie wrap it in a u shape stick the two ends in a drill place the rounded part in what you want to mix and turn on the drill, it will mix anything if the viscosity is right.
Cool video. I needed this video to trim the door on my shed shop that is a bit topsy turvy. Great video. 23 gauge pin nailer is handy for tacking trim firm. Please add my name to your drawing for texture tools I used that can knockdown stuff that is not as good as the texture kit you showed on your show. Say hi to Elsie! Keep those fix it tips coming.
Great instructional video. I wondered how to repair that situation, just happen to have a sheet of luan too! You gave me info on my next nailer too. Thanks subscribed
Great tips for doors. I would like to pass the tips along to my neighbor who has a manufactured home. He is soon going to help me install a door. Will the EZ Pro and orange peel stick to primed paneling? Thank you so very much. This is my first time watching your awesome channel. Blessings to you!!
Good morning Virginia, yes, it will stick to the primer. As long as the primer sticks to the paneling you should be fine. You can fill the seams of the paneling with mud and tape over them if you want a drywall look. Happy Easter!
Hi Kurt, it really is easy but if you are doing a large area you should use a Hopper. This is awesome for it's intended purpose. Small jobs, patches and touch ups mainly because of the convenience. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Thank you DJ, I will do my best! Sorry I have been missing for a while I had several health issues last year that set me back but I'm on the trail again. Have a great weekend!
I sure do like that little stir thing… could’ve used that yesterday remixing a can of paint. Is it available next to the ez-pro in the big box? Are you only using the ez-pro for touch up? I’m redoing an entire house… I may need a bigger bag or two. Sure would like to get away from the hopper…
Hi Bill, the mixer is only available @ www.ezprotexture.com for now. It's crazy how important shelf space is in the stores, but Jim hasn't been granted the additional space yet. The gun and bags are in 1400 Sherwinn Williams stores and nearly 1000 Home Depot stores right now. The President (Jim) is a fellow retired Firefighter, so I am trying to help him get the word out about his amazing company, the investors are all firefighters. This gun is not meant to take the place of a hopper, that is still the best tool for full jobs. It is meant to assist the job in case you have mistakes on the job or need to repair jobs. It is 100 times better than using a spray can unless you only plan on doing one patch and not using it again. I did my bedroom ceiling with a very light texture and it was great. One bag will spray aprox 25 to 30 sq. ft. with a medium orange peel. Happy Easter my friend!
@@paulstoolbox Happy Easter to you as well! And I was so looking forward to retiring the hopper! I like the idea of the fix. Since I retired from the SO I’ve been doing “Handyman” stuff around for friends. I’ve needed that in a couple of places. The paint mixer I could use on a weekly basis. Stay safe.
You are added to the list my friend, My buddy Jim with EZ ProTexture is going to be giving away these spray guns often on my videos. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
LOl we need a self cleaning Hopper! This is an awesome tool but unfortunately the hopper is still needed.... This gun is the perfect add on in my tool box for small jobs, patches and touch ups. Have a great day and thanks Mike!
Awesome detailed video Paul. I need a new miter. Ha! I never thought about cutting out the sheetrock like that. It would be me with the caulk gun and maybe a scraper/cutting tool. LOL Love the details on the sprayer. Good info on the knockdown which is what my walls are. In the future I will be doing a little bit of soundproofing on 2 of my bdrm walls that are on exterior walls. How many packs of the EZ Pro texture would I need for 10' x 29' wall? Also do you recommend a mask when using it? I know...simple dumb questions but this will be my first time and it will be a big job doing it all by myself most likely. BTW, Received my sprayer package and that was VERY nice. What a nice gift. Thank you so much!!!!! Which air compressor do you recommend? The one in your video? I've been wanting one but dont really know anything about them...but one enough for this and maybe some small hand tools. Thank you Paul for all you do and God Bless. OH Love the doggie..Elsie. Is that her in your logo?
I' so glad you got the kit from us, it depends on the thickness of the texture you are spraying as to the coverage. Typically it covers about 25 to 30 sq. feet of medium texture per bag. A small tank compressor will work on small jobs such as a bedroom. California air has a nice quiet compressor and they work well. amzn.to/3KRQL2G
@@crazydoglady5 You're very welcome, I would suggest practicing on a 2x2 drywall sample board. You can pic one up at Depot or Lowes. If you paint it with a semi gloss paint, you can lightly scrape it off and wipe it down with a rag or sponge before it dries and reuse the board. This way you can see how heavy you will want your spray. Thanks and please let me know how it comes out.
