I remember when I first got this game and it had me thinking we've reached the pinnacle of gaming. I miss the late nights playing this back in the day.
that was the pinnacle. the only thing that has improved since then is the graphics. as far as innovation, features, and gameplay gaming has gone downhill. the last good generation of gaming was the 6th.
I remember whenever our family would get together we'd play this and my Uncles always hit these cool moves and I couldn't figure out how to do it at all, good times.
You're not kidding. Had those two and wrestlemania 2000. Thought they were the coolest wrestling games, and got me to watch wrestling during that period. Fond memories of watching NItro and Thunder then Raw and Smackdown. Good stuff.

So many memories with this game! I used to play it all the time at my Dad's with my Stepsister as a kid, until I finally got my own copy as a teenager. Goldberg, Nash and Kidman were my favourite wrestlers in this game.
The intro to this was so dope !! Hahah memories. Man all these wrestling games. I had like 10 wrestling games growing up. They were so popular back then.
Dr Frank by far the best character to use. My mate owned this game and had a few years up on me. After a few weeks of trying them all out , Dr Frank's hold B drop kick was lethal with good range, he never saw it coming would walk straight into it. His meltdown after my first victory is a priceless memory. No idea how he didn't break his hands , never seen anything like it.
I've run numerous computer simulations on this game where I have all players partake in elimination tournaments (singles and tag teams). Dr. Frank almost always wins. He was designed as the strongest character. On a tag team with The Executioner, they're unbeatable.
The memories with this game, it was definitely one of my favorites. I might have been 4 1/2 but a little boy doesn’t care about the mature content, he just enjoys the awesome music, the capabilities with characters, the story lines he can come up with in his imagination of each character etc. one of the best n64 games
I was born in 2000. Me and my dad would play this when I was able to comprehend gaming and wrestling. I fell in love with this game. In all fairness I don’t care for the WCW roster but it’s an excellent game. I’m now 23 years old and still play this game all the time. The music is always putting me into a great mood and makes me happy to continue playing the game over and over.

No Mercy is the best, many wrestlers, best graphics, editor mode, obviously not compare with the actual wrestling games but in this years, No Mercy it was the best. Later the Smack Down saga it was very popular, personally Smack Down Here Comes the Pain its the best of this saga.
I remember my brother and I would take turns changing the costumes and then watching the intro to see what craziness we came up with. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.
Lol yes that was hilarious to do, making costume changes that affected the opening sequence, like putting The Giant in a Rey Mysterio outfit. It was yet another awesome feature of this already awesome game.

It’s funny how when you throw together random wrestlers in a tag team, they keep their unique character specific animations/poses during the entrance. Meanwhile, in a 2K game, if you throw together random wrestlers into a tag team, you get a generic tag team entrance. With wrestlers doing animations their characters would never do.
Man this and no mercy was some of my favorite wrestling games on N64 growing up. I like how everybody had like 3 different outfits you could choose from. Womder why they stopped doing that in wrestling games
I played WCW/NWO Revenge years ago and I defeated other wrestlers 🤼♂️ to advance to next round and I went to Posen, Illinois to watch the wrestling match 🤼♂️ years ago and I had to enjoy my good times and that’s good times I have with my game and my life.👍🤼♂️

WWE 2K22 really captured the feeling of these N64 games. I remember playing the hell out of this one, World Tour, Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy.
