Finally, A Jackson kayak... This is one of my favorite ones, the Jackson Big Rig HD/FD
It felt good, not super fast but you can rig the hell out of it 😀
I like the storage capacity for camping and the ability to stand and fish... I don't mind the speed, I like the fact that the drive can be adjusted for shallow water and also pops up into the hull if you hit something without damage... Pretty cool feature

I would really consider buying that kayak. Not sure about the rudder system though.

Hey Aliex was wondering if i could get some advice from you. Ive been wanting to get a scupper cart but ive heard they can crack the scupper holes so i was wondering if youve ever had any kind of experience with issues like that and what your thoughts on a scupper cart is. Thank you.
What kayak do you have? You have to make sure the scupper holes are reinforced

Aliex Folgueira well I guess as long as it’s durable I suppose it’s alright. I did see that you finally got on the blue sky 360. I’m kind of torn about it. It looks so cumbersome in the water and I wonder if it would be difficult to pedal in stronger winds. Also how it handles in rough water conditions. Did it feel well made in your opinion?
Have to say, some of the comments scare me off from this boat a little. I had a big rig several years ago, and that is the only yak I miss. I timed a storm wrong down in Matagorda, and that yak got me home safe I an extremely sketchy situation. Hate to hear that about Jackson.
I hear a lot of negative things about Jackson quality but also I hear that they fixed whatever was wrong so...

Probably about the same, you won't flip on either...
I wonder what you thought of the Big Rig tracking? I have the Coosa FD and I bought it so I could fish hands free. Unfortunately I found I always had to have one hand on a rudder control because it would not track straight! I was very frustrated to say the least. As a result, I designed and fabricated my own larger rudder which gives me much more control AND is self retracting like the Flex Drive unit on these kayaks.
