    I think the biggest problem with the Knarr is the price $4,199. You can get an Old Town AutoPilot with motor and Spot lock for $3999.99. The battery cost adds to the Old Town but quite a few people will put a motor on the Knarr as well.

      Yep, would have bought this already for $2500 or a little more. I also like the NuCanoe Unlimited but I need a peddle drive. The swivel seat on the NuCanoe is awesome.

    I have taken my Brand new $4,500.00 Knarr FD out twice now and I have adjusted the kayak steering twice now and I still Zig Zag no mater what I do. I have reached out to Jackson we will see if they rectify the problem or not. For a kayak with such a large Price tag you should not have to adjust the steering at all. I fish in Texas Galveston bay and it was a hassle both times I think I will just use my 2014 Cuda. or my Wives BiteFD. just letting a future purchaser know. Love the company but man they screwed the pooch on the Steering cables (my two cents).

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  ปีที่แล้ว

      It took me a while to get my steering dialed in. Jackson released a video which helped, but I think I was expecting perfection out of a flawed system. I got my steering cables to a point where they'll be a little loose on the colder mornings and a little tight on the hottest days. Now that it's set I don't really have a problem with it, but I agree that it should be better. I heard they were working on a new steering design so hopefully they get that squared away!

    Hey buddy, great video I love my Jackson Knarr , I’m sure you know by now Jackson did make the tub for the front bow hatch which I just purchased although I think they should come with the boat lol..

    Nice review. Helpful for me to get a feel for this boat. Like the size, not impressed with the weight and balance though. Thank you.

      The balance thing is pretty common with kayaks. That was just a new thing for me since I was in a Big Rig FD which is one of the most stable kayaks out there!

    Hello! How are you still liking the Knarr? I am about to pick one up for 2,999 out the door. Brand new 2023. I feel like that is a pretty darn good deal considering the competition at that price.

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is a good deal! I'm sure you'll love it! At first I was on the fence with it, but once I got used to how the steering works and learned how to get it dialed in I've loved it ever since.

      @@bigfishbucketlist Did you ever consider the Coosa FD?

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @caleb4015 I used to own a Coosa FD! That is a great kayak too! It's shorter but it's still a super stable kayak and I loved fishing from it. Not as many features as the Knarr and the rigibility isn't as good but you can't go wrong with a Coosa!

  • @TAHAAS10

    I'm a newbie to kayaking and new to fishing. But I'm still shopping around for the best one for me. I'm not looking for a motor when I do get a kayak. I need the workout. So far the Native Titan X looks nice. I like the idea of putting lights on the kayak with a running light so I can be seen better in the dark. I don't want to be a speed bump for other bigger boats on the water. Plus I can go where bigger boats can't so it's a win, win.😇

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  ปีที่แล้ว

      I put the Yak Power lights on my Knarr and they work pretty well! That Titan X looks nice too! If it were me I'd wait for it to be out for a few months just to see if others have issues with them

    How has the landing gear held up so far?

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's still going strong! I went over some rough terrain with it one time and one of the t bolts snapped, but that was an issue with the hardware. The landing gear and the gear track have both held up fine

    I have a 2020 Big Rig FD, In your opinion would it be worth swapping the old flex drive for this new one?

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  ปีที่แล้ว

      The new drive is definitely better from what I experienced. Maintenance free and I have heard of very few issues from owners. It's not gonna get you a ton of extra speed though. Maybe you'll gain 0.5mph in the big rig but that's just a guess. So kinda up to you on whether or not that's worth the cost

    What is the length of your truck bed and is a bed extender a must for a 5-7 truck bed?

    • @bigfishbucketlist
      @bigfishbucketlist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have an 8' bed and with the tailgate down that gives me another 16" or so. A bed extender isn't a must for shorter beds. I know guys that just strap down their kayaks really well with shorter beds.

      @right8630 yeah just depends on how you do it. If I had a short bed I'd personally get a bed extender. I know one dude who puts his kayak in at an angle. The front part is over his cab
