Salafi is nothing really, western people generally throw this term to refer to any Orthodox Muslim who isn't modern etc. Actually majority of Muslims around the world follow one of the 4 schools of thoughts (Hanafi, maliki etc), but Salafis do not strictly follow one of the four schools. That's the main difference between a traditional Sunni Muslim and Salafi Muslim. Nothing that important that you need to get into. also in the context of video, I don't think there is something special about Salafi Muslim here but it applies to all Muslims

Executive Summary: Context: The video is a book review discussion featuring two books: 1. The Making of a Salafi Muslim Woman by Annabelle Inge, offering a nuanced view of Salafi women. 2. The Critique of Pure Reason by Immanuel Kant, a foundational text in Western philosophy. Main Takeaways: • Annabelle Inge’s book challenges stereotypes about Salafi women, showing their choices and challenges through academic research. • Immanuel Kant’s philosophical work, though challenging, embodies Enlightenment ideals and remains highly influential. Objectives: • Analyze The Making of a Salafi Muslim Woman in-depth. • Explore the impact of The Critique of Pure Reason. Key Points: 1. The Making of a Salafi Muslim Woman: • Counters stereotypes of Salafi women as radicalized or oppressed. • Highlights veiling as a personal choice, with societal pressures to unveil. • Offers a counter-narrative based on extensive research. 2. The Critique of Pure Reason: • Synthesizes rationalist and empiricist philosophies. • Discusses enduring philosophical themes like morality and the cosmos. • Considered a cornerstone of modern Western philosophy. Content Nature: • Informational and educational with a conversational tone. • Mixed technicality, balancing detailed analysis with personal insights. Closing Elements: • Encourages reading both books for intellectual and cultural enrichment. • Suggests further discussions on stereotypes and the relevance of historical intellectual works. Future Considerations: • Explore how stereotypes of minority groups persist. • Investigate the lasting influence of classical philosophical works.

I mean why use the term salafi muslim why can't just say muslim women in general, because it makes it seem like there is this big divide or something. Claiming Salafiyyah is Wahabbism is nonsense and often used by orentalis, Muslim groups who dislike the Salafi creed or Western media to demonise Salafis. Salafis respect Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab and benefits from a number of his books surrounding the issue of Tawheed and Shirk mainly. However, they also benefit from hundreds of other scholars. Often this negative term is used because Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab declared the practice of duaa to dead "awliyah" as major shirk and the practice of duaa by the status of the dead awaliyah as an innovation.
