We just got home from a two week trip to SrILanka. Do NOT cancel your booking/trip to SriLanka. Its 100% safe. Its better without the crowds. The problems are very isolated and not all over the entire country. There are many places in the rest of the world where terrorism happens - London, France, Paris - and people are afraid to come here. Seriously that plays into the hands of the terroists. Worst of all it hurts the SriLankans who work in the hotel industry. Please stop and think about them before you decide to cancel!!!

I've been there from May 11 till 21st. and it was amazing. Never in my life i've seen empty beaches, hotels or reastaurants over there. PPL treat me so nice. I tarveled around and enjoyed a lot. And of sourse FOOD!!! that was amazing! So ppl plz no need to be scared it's really safe just go there and try taste of that country!!!!!!
I am Indian and reside in Austria. In 1977 I travelled to Srilanka as 5 year old Child. May be you were not born at that time. Srilanka is most beautiful land ever i saw.Very Generous people. God keep Srilanka protected from evil forces.

Was just there a few months ago, and even have a friend I met there who were working in the kitchen at Shangri-La when it was attacked, but I would still absolutelly go back any day! It's one of the best places I've been, and especially if you have you own tuk tuk to drive ⭐❤🌴🌸☀️🌊

I lived in sri lanka for 6 months, and never felt un-safe for a second. I went back home to Norway about 6 days before the bombings, and was afraid for the people I've met, and the tourism industry in general, because it's crucial for so many livelyhoods. This video is really important. You're also completely correct. This was terrorism, and it's not like everybody moved out of France, Manchester, Oslo, New York or New Zealand, when they got struck by terrorists. Sri Lanka is safe, and i recommend everyone to visit.

This makes me want to cry. I'm a Sri Lankan living outside of SL, and the attacks were devastating. 60% of our economy is tourism. Our people don't really deserve this, most of the people in our country are poor and to see these horrible attacks affect them even more as sales drop is just SO sad. Thank you SO MUCH for this man. I totally share the same sentiments as you and the rest of the interviewees in the videos! I myself just came back from Sri Lanka; was there from 4th June till the 12. There were a lot of warnings traveling into Sri Lanka. Family members and friends were also warning me not to go for this trip because their perception of the country is as if Sri Lanka is in a state of crisis. Luckily, I went against their advices and went for it, and I never regretted that decision. This trip turns out to be the most memorable solo trip, seeing the most vulnerable and authentic side of Sri Lanka. To those that happens to be reading this comment, thinking of cancelling your pre-planned Sri Lanka trip or planning to, PLEASE i urge you to take the leap of faith and go for it! It is not as bad as what the mainstream media outlets were broadcasting, and it is just as safe or even safer than other parts of the world. Sometimes you might be able to 'selfishly' have the entire attraction to yourself and it is really beautiful. Love from Singapore 🇸🇬
