Great review of not just Woodland Park but of the region up in Ute Pass (Hwy 24 corridor, up from the Springs). Including the scenic and welcoming towns of Green Mountain Falls, Chipita Falls and Cascade. Green Mountain Falls is my favorite but just because there always seems to be at least one or more of the incredibly large but truly sweet Colorado Mountain dogs laying in or just outside the pub there. Those dog's deserve an episode of their own You missed Charis Buble College, which to me means truly wonderful and highly professional theatrical productions that the students, teachers and volunteers work so hard to provide to the region. Catching one of their shows is definitely something to behold, regardless of your belief or non-belief in any religion. Oh and on that little road exiting Hwy 24 that takes you to Charis, continue past the Buble college and up into the mountain forest that then takes you to whole forested communities that are located along sometimes paved yet mostly gravel roads. Those communities up there are exactly what most people, who live outside of Colorado and who probably will never get to visit, dream of what it must be like to live in the mountains . Nust north of Woodland Park along Hwy 67 are a number of US Forest Service public campgrounds, with Painted Ricks providing a geological wonders to behold.
Really nice just as you describe. I feel that being there to know and enjoy the place. Thank you so much from Guaymas, port of Sonora, northwest of México.

Enjoyed, and too expensive for the average person ,, ....
Woodland Park used to be such a nice little town until that Bible College moved in and priced everyone out. What a shame.
Yeah, and it wasn't just the real estate values that changed for the worse.
