Thanks for the review. I am considering the 8a as my secondary Android phone. I would like to mention, however, that comparing which apps are reloaded doesn't make any sense because it's just how iOS works regardless of the RAM size. It kills the apps that stay in the background for a certain time and allows those apps to have only some data refreshed through the Background Refresh feature.
it houses the latest flagship processor from google what is so unexpected. Actually its the other way around the iPhone is more impressive as it is a almost 3 year old phone
@@davidingo3545Everybody knows that bionic chips are very powerful and iphone 13 have bionic a15 and not to mention that it's more powerful in raw performance than the regular g3 in pixel 8 pro and in 8a it's underclocked version of g3 but who cares.. app speed comparisons are the worst comparisons I've ever seen like who really cares if the app is taking extra 0.2 sec to open and ganes taking 2-3 secs more if you're going to play a game that means you want ro timepaas so who cares about extra sec of load time when you're there to waste your time ?..
very nice video nick, id love you compare the pixel 8a against the s23 or s22, that would also be an amazing comparison, s22 is around the same price i believe, and it has the same processor as the s23 fe which is a fairly new device as well
Me personally I’d go with the 8a over the iPhone 13. It has a high refresh rate, longer support, is $100 cheaper and to me apps load faster on android than iPhone. People whine about bezels but I don’t care as long as it works well. Case and point, less bezels on the iPhone 13 but that awful notch lol 😂. I swear people prioritize the wrong things.
case=bigger bezels, you cant say anything about the notch, pixels bezels are clearly way too large. The notch is there bc of face id, androids dont have face id, only face recognition with the camera which isnt at all secure, if you want an open device then go for it, still iphones security beats android. i had a pixel 6a, it was great however the plastic on the back, overheating, fingerprint sensor, bezels were very annoying
@@EiskalteLanzeI think I can say something about the notch because in late 2024 it’s way bigger and more intrusive than any android phone. Face ID is more secure but unlike android, you only get one biometric versus android having face unlock and a fingerprint sensor. And unless you have a twin then face unlock isn’t that unsecured. Ultimately it comes down to preference but for me I feel like android has more innovation and iOS has become stale and boring.
@@5150crazyfun yeahi you like it, if android is your preference go for it, i also dont like android/ios quite a lot, i would love a mix between them. You forgot that face id works at night, on android they use rare camera, hoever i think honor also made some sort of face id
Nick bro Optimization is significantly important, for example I think jetpack Joyride is more optimized with iphones what is why it Lunch faster in many situations.
Hey nick You seem a bit biased to iphones And try opening and playing games on pixel so it doesn’t start from the beginning when you do a speed test In your last videos the iphone was opening subway surfers normally but the oixel was in tutorial mode Generally when it’s your first time opening an app it’s slower
@@kjellbeatsthank you. I bought a pixel 8a from t-mobile, haven’t used it yet. But I’m going to bring it back…doesn’t really seem like an upgrade. I’m going to wait till Pixel 10, to upgrade.
Hey Nick! I just wanted to give you a little tip for your next speed test with iphones, when you boot up you don't need to actually hold the power button on iphones, just press it one time! Try that in your next video!
Nick, please consider changing your background music or make it quiter, it gets really annoying really easily because it loops forever and watching few of you videos in a row amplifys it and makes it actually hard to focus on what your saying. I do enjoy your content, it's just that that music throws me off
I had a apple tablet the second one got it for my son when he was 5 I used it to I was always a Samsung user but I wanted to try out the iPhone so I got the 13 when it was a year old I don’t like the iPhone 13 or iPhone at all I had a pixel 6 before I got the iPhone 13 I so rather a pixel or Samsung phone then a iPhone
just to point out half th video is a bit out of focus. also i think the reason why the pixel did better even with a weaker chip is more ram 4gb is a bit of a struggle the 12 pro should do better against the 8a
iPhone 13 still looks better lol only great thing about the pixel is the adaptive battery that uses ai to save battery life (not health it has that too)
No thanks the whole time you were scrolling on pixel it was laggy worse than 30 hz lol I see no 120 hz advantage just like most android, iPhone 60 is is still miles better and only comparable with flagship 120 hz
Another thing is all these comparison compare phone straight after restarting the phone but in iOS you have to open the app at least twice after restarting to get real speed cause apps refreshes
iPhone 13 vs Pixel 8a Speed Test - $599 vs $499 phones, let's find out how the stack up next to each other in performance!
sir make a detailed comparison between oneplus 12 and iphone 15 pro max . which should include battery drain test and app opening test plz ❤

you definitely still have so time until you need to upgrade, you should probably wait for the 9 or 9a at least

Can you do next one 14 pro vs pixel 8a speed test
In our household, I have the 8A and the rest the iPhone 13 lol. I have nothing against any of these phones.
Dude never disappoints. enjoyed the vid
Pixel>>>
Processor 💀
The bezels are thicker than iphone 11. It looks like 200 bucks cheap Chinese phones
12 is far better than 13 in terms of performance...13 and 14 are very poor is thermals
The Pixel is waaay better than the iPhone
Please do 13 Pro Max VS Pixel 8a.
Nice video
3:22 although the iPhone 13 screen is a 60hz panel, it is definitely smoother and more consistent while scrolling when compared to the 8a
I will choose pixel over iphone anyday!!
2021 iPhone destroys newest Pixel with CPU performance, it's a shame that Google still uses those Tensor (aka Exynos) chips.
iPhone destroys literally every android even though I am an android guy
@@nelsonstillmatic8881 wrong. S24 ultra beats iPhone in most test, besides gaming.
yeah that's why apps are relaunching on iPhone 13 lol
@@_WF23 CPU wise A17 Pro is still faster than 8 gen 3. Where snapdragon beats it is the gpu performance.
@jacobglass2951 actually the snapdragon 8 gen3 also beats the a17pro in multicore performance as well.
iPhone with the win always getting kinda old 😝 need some competition
3 year old peasant iPhone isn’t supposed to compete with new pixel
homie is talking about how a flagship is taking the win over an entry level pixel LOL!
i'd give everything for that 120hz...
Iphone 15 is thicker at 7.8mm, Iphone 13 is at 7.65mm
in Germany with Trade in Pixel 8a is ~ 250e iphone 13 ~ 500e do the math your self, pixel 8a for me in white .
interesting how iphone in Geekbench beats pixel but pixel just laugh at iphone when it's comes to multitasking and opening apps
thanks
Bezel of pixel 8a💀
same as in iphone13
@@Sieciufkaespecially the bottom one, like on an iPhone

Lol yes the iPhone has slightly smaller bezels but a notch (and dynamic island) is way more intrusive to the viewing experience.
iPhone 13 not too bad
iphone 13 will be suported until 2028
The 13's display still looks better than the bezels on the 8a
Pixels bezels already having frame's alongside
8a faster but, bazel is crime
Watching this video on my iPhone 13 ❤❤

This speed test doesn't show that the Pixel 8a has double the amount of RAM and an extra 3 core processor compared to the iPhone 13.

When have Apple advertised their phones as gaming phones either?
Test the phones without WiFi so we can see the RAW PERFORMANCE.
Compare with oneplus 12R
iPhone 13 slow because just have 4gb ram, 13 pro more faster than 13

That's excellent for the pixel 8a
