Just wanna say that I'm a marketer who has never worked on Tag Manager before, I'm Italian so English is not my mother tongue, and yet I'm able to follow your tutorial and I'm already making small progresses in Tag Manager. Subscribed. Well done and thanks!
first time i really understand how all this google tracking system works. To be honest, i was avoiding the documentation cause its really confusing for me as a beginner, but your content is really easy to follow and well explained. Thanks a lot for your work!
YOU'RE A HEAVEN-SENT! THANK YOU FOR THIS! I PAID 100 BUCKS TO LEARN ABOUT THIS COURSE BEFORE BUT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ANY OF IT. HAHA BUT NOW, IT'S MORE CLEARER AND YOU EXPLAINED IT REALLY WELL, PLUS EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW IS IN ONE VIDEO, MY THOUGHT OF TRAIN DIDN'T BREAK
I can not tell you ho amazing you and your videos are. I nearly blew up this morning watching the google videos in their help center. they need to FIRE EVERYONE IN THEIR VIDEOS AND HIRE YOU. Google is such a joke. But you are amazing. thank you SOOOO much. god bless you!! small business owners need YOU!!! I can't afford to outsource anything but I am willing to learn and you are an angel!!
This is by far the best presentation I have watched. You are so informative and organized. You made it easy to understand and follow. Bookmarked for later reference
This is actually super useful for a programmer like me seeing google tag manager for the first time and understanding how to communicate with the marketing team on how this works!
I have been around the interwebs and YT a lot looking for learning resources. Everyone has different learning atyles of course, but your teaching connects with my brain so well! Thanks so much! Subscribed and will look into some of your courses as well!
I just have to say, your content is so helpful- have been binging it for two days to fill in some missing gaps in my knowledge with some of these platforms you go over. GTM has always been SO confusing to me, and am looking forward to having a much clearer understanding of it. Thanks for your thorough teaching!
SUPER THANKS for your detailed presentation! I am new to this side of my experience, and you put me at the next level. Keep up the GREAT effort for helping us out here!!
Amazing work, generous information, i have watched it 3 x times and am sure i will be watching it more and more, you made my head spinning, certainly will be joining your master class soon. Thanks a million for the great work, well articulated and organized information. peace !
Your videos are super informative, organized, and overall well produced. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. I was having issues with setting up my conversions. I created a click conversion in google ads, but it continues to be “unverified” and isn’t picked up when I use the troubleshoot version. However, when I debug the page with google tag manager, the conversion is showing up on the left. I see “element click, conversion, link click” in the events. However, google ads doesn’t seem to pick up the conversion, just GTM. Any input would be appreciated.
Ou, there can be a few issues based on the information you have provided. 1. Check if the Tag is firing on the trigger - In the debug view, click on the dataLayer event on the left side, and then check if the Google Ads conversion tag has fired under the tags section. 2. Check if the Google Ads Conversion IDs and Conversion Label are correct. -hassan
Good Luck, The Devs are not usually Lazy however sometimes work on different projects simultaneously so the priorities get re-organised. Sometimes the lives get in the way, or as you said can be Lazy. GTM is a good way to start taking care of things on our own.
im just going through the testing tags part. Im starting to get the feeling that I'm not going to learn when I can delete the old tracking code from my website? do I need to make lots of different tags to emulate what I got from the old tracking code? Google likes to make things so complicated 😭 how is this easier? I would rather use code lol
Thanks for the informative video! Getting a little bogged down in GTM vs GA4. I have both the GTM and GA4 tracking codes installed in the header of my website. Do I need both?
Thank you for this guide. In shopify you can put a script on order confirmation page. Should i leave it empty since i put the script after header, or put the same script?
Hi Julius First I would like to thank you for all your videos on GA4 and GTM. I watch many of them and there verry helpfull. I use GTM tag to get information on page view the triggrt is All pages. I would expect the number of this event to be similar to the number of page views. There is a uge difference and I would like to know why?
Question about the G4 connection tag you walked us through creating and testing... Is this redundant if GA4 is already connected and collecting data in a live GA4 property already created (I watched your GA4 video and followed those steps a few months ago). I look forward to your answer.
Many thanks for the video. But I am facing a issue which you might not mention, that is I don't see the GTM tag option in g-ads conversion Tag Setting part. So that I couldn't get the conversion ID and conversion labal. Please help to advise. Thanks!
One question: if I have an old version of the code snippet from GTM, but I do get data streams from the GA4 property, do I have to update the GTM code snippet anyway?
This is very helpful! Thank you so much! I do have one question regarding connecting Tag Assistant to my website. I haven't inplemented GTM into my source code yet, is this why it doesn't allow me to connect with Tag Assistant? (waiting on dev to do that)
Great tutorial, thank you so much! I connected my GMT account to my Google Site Kit and the code snippet was added automatically. Does that mean both header- and body code or do I have to insert the latter manually? Again thanks a lot!
Hey great videos. However i'm having a issue with in the testing tags section at 41:31 in the video. When i go into debug mode inside of GA4 everything is showing up. However when i click on container loaded inside of GTM its saying "no tags were evaluated in this container" If you could help with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
@@NicoleWHS I ended up buy his GA4 course lol. Have everything working now! Ive been so busy i would have to go back to look at the issue i was having to let you know. If i have time within the next few days. I'll rewatch the issue and get back to you
Thank you so much for sharing this and I really learned a lot from your channel! Here is a quick question, I got a very weird situation. Tag assistant shows me that I connected it successfully (I also check the code as instructed in your video) but on the top left corner or the Tag assistant, it says "Not Connected" and there is another message says "Debug window closed". Then I tried to reopen it, but it doesn't work at all. I have no idea where the problem is.
This is a very common issue, which can happen due to slow internet connection, or slow computer speed. 1. Check if you have multiple debug windows opened. Close all the debug views. 2. Check if there are any cookies or caches issues - Clear the cookies and caches or try a different browser. ~Hassan
@Analytics Mania - Google Tag Manager & Analytics What if I first had GA4 and post it on website and made Google Tag Manager later. Do I still need to import my GA4 to TGM and trigger it? Wouldn't there be 2 GA4 codes triggering on my website?
Thank you for this lesson, excellent resource ! Question ? Does the plug in Google "Site Kit" install tags and triggers automatically? Or do I still need to enter them manually in tag manager?
Hi, I was about to post a question, but I just saw this one and maybe it also answers my question. simply i am not sure. I am a Google advertising starter and I appreciate your videos. Thank you so much Analytics Mania! I work at the moment for a small e-commerce website that GTM is not even installed. If I understood correctly the GTM codes need to be installed and the tracking codes from Ads and Analytics need to be uninstalled. So the question is what happens with the mapping that already exists? Can we transfer it to the GTM? Or we just install the GTM code and manually map everything again? I just start with G advertising and nobody around has any experience to give me answers. Thanks in advance.
Any JavaScript code added to the website using GTM can affect the website speed. it depends on the library of the tracking platform. if the tracking code is using ASYNC functions, then it may not affect the speed. You can opt-in for server-side tracking to avoid any speed issues with GTM. ~hassan
I'm trying to set up a Google Ads Conversion Tracking tag, but I don't see the Conversion label anywhere. I see the Conversion ID, but not the label. The option to Tag Setup>Use Google Tag Manager is not there for me at all. Can you help?
Thanks for a wonderful tutorial Julius! What if we have already added GA4 code to our website directly, do we also need to add GA4 script to GTM? Is there any risk that pageviews will be counted twice?
Thank you, this was a great video! Quick basic question... if I want to track GA4 data and use GTM on my site, I need to install both GTM and GA4 codes into the header of each page correct?
@@AnalyticsMania Thank you. You are referring to the "Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration" tag ya? If that's the case, then I messed up somewhere in the GM installation. Because in the GA4 stream, the setup wizard is showing me "data not flowing". But the tag has been set up and triggered on all pages.
if new version is created then what about the previous version will it be working or what. because every version can be with different variables also right ? so in that case how things will be ?

Yes, You either need GA4 Global tags or GTM integration, having tags implemented twice will track 2x pageviews.
