Commenting to give the channel a boost! Like the idea of the decat, as my gear and me make for a heavy unit. Have been watching since the start and used your video to change my air filter. Appreciate the content!!! Hope we can get out for a ride sometime!
I wouldn't mind fitting that decat to my DX to make it sound a bit more Italian🙃. Love your videos mate. I've spent 8 months travelling through Australia in an ancient Holden Commodore back in 2011, so your content brings back some great memories. Cheers from The Netherlands 👋.
Thanks for that mate, Glad to hear you had fun travelling around. Will be doing a Video very soon to let everyone know how to win the decat before Christmas 🐨👍
Awesome video's mate!!! Appreciate the time and effort you put into them! I have just pick up a DDX and it is great to have some honest down to earth no bullsh!t information! Looking forward to seeing what's next? If it's the exhaust I think it is, that will be very cool! Yeeww!!🤩
So I added Arrow headers upon delivery. Dealer couldn't get fitment 100%. Fitment was off in terms that the plastic exhaust shields no longer line up. I tried too, but the pipe shape isn't correct in terms of being 10mm too long and 20mm too low. Perhaps I got a defective one? I since added a SC project muffler which made alignment worse, so just ordered the SC project decat headers too, the Arrow can go in the trash. Highly recommend the SC muffler if you looking. Great sound when paired with a decat.
@@koalakonceptsI see you left off that lower section of the shield. Also the clamps that came with the Arrow decat were useless, so repalced them with DRC clamps. Anyway, SC decat should arrive in a few days. Also put a tune on to correct the fueling, however multiple issue with that and reverting to stock... TBH, its fine stock tune.
my opinion the bike sounds so my crisp without the Cat.......good job...great choice on the oil as well run that in all my bikes. would you sat the dash is easy to read when riding?
Great content as always - thanks! I’ve looked into the de-cat as an option to bring out some sound while hoping to avoid legality / insurance risks - the Ducati website in Australia states the Termignoni option is a race exhaust only and is not suitable for road use (unsure on other brands at this point). I was advised by the dealer however, the Termi option, when fitted is registered to the VIN and the ‘Ducati approved’ and warranted map / tune is also installed so it’s safe for the bike and won’t effect the bike’s warranty. I was advised away from other brands noting engine risks associated with potentially dodgy tunes. Unsure if this is clever language aimed at tickling the fear factor enough to go with the Termi (almost triple the price of other respected competitors) or if this is a real risk? Really want the sound but the last thing I want is to cop a ticket, fail an annual road worthy / rego inspection or worse, have an insurance claim rejected due to a non street legal exhaust system being fitted. Keen to hear what you have found out on your own journey when your exhaust content comes up. Very new to this - having a motocross and enduro background I’ve never needed to consider these things before… Cheers!
Hi Joel, have a few videos coming up in the next few weeks covering the exhaust and tune. As far as the Termignoni goes, yes that is the one Ducati recommends, because they have an investment in it. But they also recommend you must use ducati branded shell oil during service as well. Each country has different laws relating to what is covered by warranty and what voids it. Australias is actually pretty good in that regard. Also depending on your state and even your mecanic will depend on what they will pass for roadworthy. Just need to find one that suits you. With more open systems yes you will need a tune for the bike, but there are also ways of doing this without voiding the warranty, as you are not modifying the original ecu. That video will be on at the end of the month. Everything these days no matter what you buy is made to a very conservative level. Its up to the individual to decide what's best for them.
Did you manage to get the connection between the Arrow pipe and the OE muffler to seal properly? Did you use any exhaust seal? I’ve just fitted the same pipe and I can’t get it to seal properly despite a ton of adjustments on all ends. There is still movement and a small exhaust leak in the connection
I did get it to seal, never had any leaks, but yeah have heard the same problem from others. The quality of Arrow products is questionable. But in the next video you will see, I swapped out for a fully different system.
With the arrow decat fitted how come a re map isn’t needed ?? Does it not make it run lean on fuel/ air mixture. Also have you lost any back pressures that change the engine braking off throttle.
Thanks for the great content! I have followed your videos to install OEM protection and Unifilter. Keep up the good work
Great video would love the De cat pipe
Just watch the Christmas Giveaway video and enter 🐨👍

Thanks Thomas, whereabouts are you from?
Put the filter and oil in a plastic bag. It keeps your hands clean and its easy to work the oil through the filter.

You might want to keep warching the next few videos. 👍

@ianf2012 There is a way of tuning that you can revert to stock easy. That video is in a couple of weeks 👍

Yeah its definitely much better now, especially after a tune. I dont have a problem reading the dash on any of the modes.
Great content as always - thanks!

Spot on, thanks for the great response. I’ll do some more digging.
Keep up the great work on the channel!

Because the stock muffler still provides a fair bit of back pressure. Keep watching a few more videos, I explain it in those.
I am in for that decat 😁🤞
Its definitely worth it. 🐨👍
I’m a bit confused as to why you are not using the decat if you will be tuning the bike?
Different decat 😉
