I think the most important thing we can take away is that it controls more like 3 than Judgment. Now this game has a real shot.

If Rod Ferguson said we the audience DON'T KNOW who JD's mom is, that means it's not Anya. I bet Anya dies at some point shortly after Gears 3 and Marcus ends up falling in love with someone else. Would be pretty sad to see Marcus lose both Dom and Anya but at the same time, it's nice he was able to find someone else and still have love. Bittersweet all around and that's typical Gears.
Actually in the books it said Anya isn't able to have kids so JD cant be her son
