Justin thank you for introducing me to the Hermes and Cartier line I have all you mentioned and love them. Great designers for a mature profile. I got ahold to Roadster also. Yes it's an amazing Cartier frag as well. Loving the mint to patchouli dry down within that aquatic transition. Definitely in rotation in these next 2 months
I remember I wore Sauvage Elixir one day and a cashier gave me a compliment from behind a partition. Definitely one of the strongest fragrances I have ever owned. Extremely masculine as opposed to many modern fragrances that are more unisex. Great list JC
That sauvage elixir is some kinda beautiful, love it. YSL is also extremely under rated, honestly Y edp and la nuit de l'homme are my absolute favorite frags to smell on a man 🥰 You have me interested in some of those Cartiers, need to try them. Nobody talks about those at all.....
Excellent choices!! You're right, Guerlain, Tom Ford and Dior are some of my favorite designer houses that have had interesting releases. One thing I appreciate from this video is we got to know you more, your taste from what you consider the best (so people don't have to keep asking what you mean by boring new releases 😴) 2nd thing - enjoyed your editing in this vid
Fantastic list, Justin and I couldn't have agreed with you more, especially your top 4! Personally, I would've placed Guerlain L'homme Ideal Extreme at #5 but then again, it's not my list. Hahaha. Great video as always, JC!!
I LOVE Eau Givree. Best citrus opening ever. I know you hate top 10s but these are thoughtful and give me a good idea for scents I might actually reach for.
The Sauvage Elixir is very very powerful and definitely caught my attention. Had a lady at Macy's spray it on a sample card and when I went home and left it in my room on my dresser it made my room smell like that for a week. I just purchased a bottle and it should last a verrrrryyyy long time.
Not gonna lie, never thought I loved vetiver before but the way it's used in Hermes and Issey is so elegant and refreshing. People use soil to describe the smell and I think that's the worst way to describe it. It's that freshness you smell after pulling vetiver or even monkey grass out of the soil: that aroma from the actual plant. That's the vetiver accord and yes there's different ways to use it but I love the fresh, just pulled out of the earth smell (soil doesn't smell good people).
Really great video Justin and as usual, there just had to be a twist to it. Love it. Your choices sir are just as good. Yes, if you would do this list next week again, there will be other perfumes in it, but that's the beauty also within this hobby; there are so many great designer flankers... eh... perfumes out there.
Hermes making a mark! I was wondering if you would ever do a video about their lesser popular lines? I dont see them getting any play in frag comm and am definitely curious about them.
Justin, I really like your content! Amazed by the depth of knowledge offered by you on each fragrance. Also, since I am a musician who digs jazz music a lot, I am mesmerised by the short clips you add at the beginning of some videos.
Great list those top two I absolutely agree, no problems with the rest of the list... Homme 2020 was a pleasant surprise when I started wearing it. Since buying it the way people around me respond to it has been the stand out compliments every time I've had it on around people🤔 might be my scent of the day Went on a date a couple of months ago, two sprays of Elixir... My date told me two weeks later she can still smell it on her sweater so she's not washing it. I told her, you can actually wash the sweater the scent will still be there 😂
Dude, don’t know what you did differently, but this particular video has higher resolution than ANY 1080p video I have ever seen… Please continue this . Half of these I have .. the others I plan to purchase. Thanks for the “heads up”
just a heads up, H24 needs to macerate. It loved the tester at my local Sephora and hated my bottle once I bought it. You just need to waste a few sprays now and then and let the scent oxidize. Two months in, my bottle is starting to smell exactly like the tester I fell in love with. Eau Givree and Terre D'Hermes EDT are winning. ... also really like Polo Red Parfum, and that oddball which is Moschino Toy Boy. ... if you haven't done so already, check out l'Occitane de Province. The Eau de Beau is my personal favorite.
Amazing list i agree 100% w all of them, was gonna say id add dior homme 2020 but you beat me to it :), for me personally i would add prada luna rossa black and issey miyake pulse of the night although that one has sadly been discontinued
Love the picks. Number 11 is my number 1! I like the top two, but think they are both a little overrated. I love Dior and DH2020 is solid but kinda generic to me. Elixir is a beast, but some note I’m not a fan of and I can’t put my finger on it, prefer the parfumerie. I really like that a lot of my favorite houses were represented here and of course many unique fragrances. Wouldn’t expect anything less from you, Justin!
Pasha is not my usual style, but I keep returning to it throughout my hunt for a signature scent. Very long lasting, careful spraying more than once, you'll detect it on skin the next day easy!
I love Beau de Jour, I recently finished my decant and bought a bottle. I’m in my fifties and I love how it smells like a more interesting and refined Brut. One of my dad’s friends was wearing his Brut the other day, I should make a decant for him 😊 Amazingly it is one of my wife’s favorites on me.
Guerlain L'Homme Idéal Extreme is sublime. I've had it for a while and I feel like the leather in that became a little bit more pronounced. It's one of the few frangrances I have a back up bottle of.
@@Demoldee I bought it blindly but I don't know your taste. I have never tried the OG but I love the EdP. If you like that one, I guess there's a big chance you will like Extreme as well. Just add a tiny bit of leather and tobacco. (The plum doesn't come off very different from the cherry in the EdP.)
Great Work Here, I Enjoyed This Video Sooo Much!!!... You Had Me Trippin At The 11:04 Mark, Had Me Looking Around For A Cat In My House🤣🤣🤣 ...Keep Up The Great Work Justin!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hey buddy - great new installment! A few things: love that you love Black Orchid Parfum like I do, it's so unique and special, love that you threw in an MJ hee hee in the #1 spot (LOL), your graphics are looking sharp as ever, and now I have 2 new samples to try (Sauvage Elixir and H24 EDP). Bless you. lol
TDH Eau givree is amazing. It really does give you the sense of being cooled down. I've used a little less than half my bottle down. It's the perfect fragrance given that I live in a very hot climate
I used to think Dior Homme 2020 had nothing to do with the previous iterations of that line until I compared it to Dior Homme Eau for men. And somehow Dior Homme Eau sits somewhere in the middle between Dior Homme Intense and DH2020. Not sure if anyone else made the same observation.
Love your videos. I’m fairly new to collecting fragrances. At 55 I’ve always loved colognes, but mainly only limited myself to the original Aramis. Been wearing it since I was 17. Love it! The other was Drakkar Nior. But since I started collecting 6 months ago I have accumulated 35 from houses like D&G, Versace, Azzaro, Commodity, YSL, Rochas, Bentley and my favorite house Amouage. I love the complexity of their fragrances. I have four of them Interlude Black Iris, Jubilation xxv, Journey and my favorite Fate. Love the cumin and immortalle notes in it. Your reviews as well as Chris from Fragmantal and Darrien The bowtie fragrance guy have been a great guide. My next is going to be from Argos. Any suggestions?
You made me start smelling good 😮thank you . I recently ordered green lover, pasha de Cartier and Ralph Lauren safari for men, I found desirToxic M Micallef, vetiver by Daniel Josier, am blown away my these scent and my dad keep asking me how am getting the perfect scent for him also, no one knows my secret 🤫 lol
I been living with a decant of ideal extreme for almost a year and half now. I grew around to loving it but didn't like it at first ether felt like the decant needed to get exposed to more air after some use for it to just work smoother. Just got my full bottle in today of the new bottle style definitely appreciate it after some time with it though is gonna get some good wear in my collection.
I didn't like any sauvages until elixir came along. It's actually an incredible designer fragrance in my opinion and very unique. Just worried about running out of my 60ml since the price went up and the 100ml is now in the price range of some top niche frags.
I use it for special occasions, it's too strong to wear daily. The 60ml I bought last year probably hasn't passed more than 2ml yet, and it's my favourite designer scent.
Great list! My 10 picks would be your 2 Cartiers that I also love, Aramis Tobacco Reserve, Dunhill Agar Wood, IM L’Eau Super Majeure d’Issey and Nuit D’Issey Noir Argent, Givenchy Eau de Givenchy (2018 re-release), Mauboussin Une Historie d'Homme Irresistible, Mugler Cologne Fly Away and Rochas Moustache (EDP). All the best! P.S. I've tried Sauvage Elixir and I like it a lot, so it will be one of my next purchases.
Great Video! Beau de Jour is awesome. Have to try Black Orchid P a I didn't care much for the original. I have to revisit some like L'homme Ideal Extreme, I remember it took me more than 5 minutes to decide between it and Intense, then I opted for intense. I tried the Rodriguez edt and there was something in it that I didn't like much. It reminded me of D&G pour Homme 1994 but that one was much nicer. Cartier Declaration edt has too much cardamom that it masks everything else at least on paper. Will try the EDP, perhaps the cumin and leather can adjust that sharp cardamom. To me the best cardamom formulation is L' homme ideal l' intense. Ebene Fume is out of this world, my only issue with it is that I'm a big fan of Bois Marocain and can't decide between the two. In my book they are both niche elegant classy scents and possibly the best woody scents ever made. I have to try Eau Givree and H24 EDP again. Elixir is great smelling and really strong, but I think it is overpriced. I think Pasha EDT has a similar vibe for half the price.
J, if by term you mean season, I would say the season is looking pretty bright fragwise. Appears lots of new releases - designer and indie - are current and scheduled. However, because I likely trend older than your average subscriber, and have been wearing fragrances for decades, i don’t always know what I like but I know A ALOT about what I don’t like. Your last vid was more of my taste than usual and I appreciated the diversity of frags, just not “old school,” which is so casually used now in reference to frags. I’ve come across some nasty chats and comments, especially this past year, where I was really surprised at how hate and disregard some guys have for older guys in the frag community. Unfortunately, I have unsubscribed from three providers since early 2022 because of the blatant disregard or outright contempt for “old men,” “grandpas,” etc. Too many other choices for informative, interesting frag content. I know in part they take their cues from content providers and use them to go over the edge. Sometimes, it’s as if this is a unique space that allows them to vent specifically at older guys. Why? I don’t know but the language gives them permission and they just take it from there. Ash at GentScents does a good job and I really appreciate him. Like you, he’s intelligent enough to realize it’s worth the effort to use less offensive language, be mindful of the diversity of his audience, etc. Anyhow, thanks for all you do. I’ve told you before how much I appreciate seeing a brother doing this frag thing strong. Thanks and keep up the good work!
@@souljah9e imo the 2020 version is a little similar to DH2020, just with the addition of a little bit of iris. I didn’t care for it, so I got rid of it. I prefer the pre-2020 DHI. Sample DH2020 to make sure you love it.
@@stayfreshproductions Thank you so much for the recommendation. Also I know this is off topic but I'm looking for a extremely hot summer day frag as I live in a hot climate , and the choice is between Aqa di Gio Profondo, the 2022 EDP version or Channel allure edition blanche EDT. Which is best value for money and just the best overall scent?
Tom ford's ebene fume receives alot of hate in the community, wonder why. Glad to see someone appreciate it as much as I do. By far one of my favorite TFs..🤩
If you can find Stetson Country by Coty vintage cologne. I can't remember the name but it's the more clear bottle on the fresher side. Not the orange colored. Smells exactly like a spring dew morning fr with sweet citruses and a mossy woody sexiness.
Thanks for all the content brother. This question is going to be different from what you usually receive. My fragrance collection is growing by the week, and I'll need proper storage soon. What brand is your perfume cabinet? I'm liking it a lot
I think I’m getting H24 EDP at some point. I thought the original H24 was interesting but not something I would really wear. I got Oligarch Parfum yesterday thanks to your recommendations. It’s soooo good. Still getting wafts of it the morning after, and it’s rich and complex without being extremely so. Interested in Elysium Parfum next!
According to your description, I consider Tom Ford just went to Chanel store, got the Platinum Egoiste and poured it to Tom Ford bottle. Just like that Beau De Jeur released.
I bet you had a blast adding all the visual bylines. Adds a pop to the video. Noice. As per your ask: yup, tried them, except for the Cartiers. Duck. Don’t hit. 😉 I should, but somehow I save the house for later. Permanently, it seems.
I tested Black Orchid EDP against the Parfum... but I can't remember which one I thought was more masculine... one of the two had a little rougher edges to it... that was the one I liked more
That Dior Homme 2020 scream took me out! I'm currently into Resins and Balsamic fragrances so that Tom Ford Ebony catches my eye. Heard of it multi times before but it "stands out" now ya know.
I'm not sure if you've tried the Parfum version of Bleu Noir, but it takes that musky Bleu Noir DNA, incorporates a fresh citrusy opening, and adds suede, leather, and a soapy, lipsticky Iris into the equation. In my opinion, it's the best in the line.
I ran across Jacomo de Jacomo a scent I loved and wore years ago. Are you familiar with it? It's a Clove, Nutmeg, Cinnamon spicy scent. The new bottle is less intense with a bit of smokiness added. I think it'll work for most who like Varvatos Vintage. There is also a Rouge flanker that is somewhat similar to Lhomme Ideal Extreme minus the Almond.
I prefer the newest DH sport (2021 or 2022 I think) it’s a little brighter for warmer weather but almost identical to DH 2020….easily an all season fragrance. Lasts all day if anyone “needs” that lol
wearing dior homme 2020 as the SOTD. A quick question. You mentioned iso e super, how about a quick lesson, to layer iso e super goes with what type of fragrances and what type of fragrances go with ambroxin? which goes with fresh scents and which goes with warm scents, if you don't mind giving one example. Thanks Justin
Beau de Jour is a great one, as is Pasha. One I just discovered is Rogue Perfumery’s Mousse Illimunee. A nice old school scent that will appeal to a lot of people.
Interesting, my favourite designer fragrance is Sauvage Elixir, and my favourite daily scent is Dior Homme 2020 lol. The only other fragrance I have on the list is Beau De Jour, which I love, but wear for myself as apparently it gives 'old man' vibes.

It’s so good!
That creaky door noise had me looking around my apartment lol.
😆
If you can find Stetson Country by Coty vintage cologne. I can't remember the name but it's the more clear bottle on the fresher side. Not the orange colored. Smells exactly like a spring dew morning fr with sweet citruses and a mossy woody sexiness.
Thanks for all the content brother. This question is going to be different from what you usually receive. My fragrance collection is growing by the week, and I'll need proper storage soon. What brand is your perfume cabinet? I'm liking it a lot
Thank you Mel. I actually can't remember the brand and it doesn't have a name on it.
Awesome!
You are missing Dior Fahrenheit Parfum here. It is on par with Sauvage Elixir. Both are masterpieces in the designer realm.
I said at the beginning that I was only considering fragrances released in the past 5 years for this video. Fahrenheit Parfum came out in 2014.
@@stayfreshproductions missed that part. fair enough
Most excellent choices, someone really knows their stuff!
Thank you!
Hermes agree 100%. Top notch
The reason for the cooling and fresh in Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree is probably the Ambrettolide.
Great list!
Thanks!
#8 IS MY fAVORITE....LOVE IT...ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
According to your description, I consider Tom Ford just went to Chanel store, got the Platinum Egoiste and poured it to Tom Ford bottle. Just like that Beau De Jeur released.
they're nothing alike, apart from being in the same family of fragrances.
Hey Justin. You had me at Cartier. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed!
I think it's telling that many of these designers with creative offerings also have creative presentation.
Dior has been absolutely killing it with their perfumes
I didn’t like Black Orchid Parfum, but I really liked the original. I may have to visit Sephora for a sniff again.
sauvage elixir so potent even [curly fragrances] would say "15 sprays is enough with this one"
I bet you had a blast adding all the visual bylines. Adds a pop to the video. Noice. As per your ask: yup, tried them, except for the Cartiers. Duck. Don’t hit. 😉 I should, but somehow I save the house for later. Permanently, it seems.
I tested Black Orchid EDP against the Parfum... but I can't remember which one I thought was more masculine... one of the two had a little rougher edges to it... that was the one I liked more
The only fragrance learning channel
Thank you
Who else here enjoyed the door creak effect? I love Future Justin's sense of humour
😆 thank you!
Picked up Black Orchid Parfum two weeks ago, a very unique fragrance among my collection.
Now that's a top10 I can dig..
That Dior Homme 2020 scream took me out!
I'm currently into Resins and Balsamic fragrances so that Tom Ford Ebony catches my eye. Heard of it multi times before but it "stands out" now ya know.
Check it out if you can bro!
I’ve tried it, was a little too powdery for my taste.
@@stayfreshproductions Fair enough! I liken it to Dior Homme Eau or Givenchy Gentleman Intense with the Fresh/Iris combo.
Ideal Extrême is what I wear when I want to smell elegant
"Make your own list."🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the gym about to drop this bar!
😆
I ran across Jacomo de Jacomo a scent I loved and wore years ago. Are you familiar with it? It's a Clove, Nutmeg, Cinnamon spicy scent. The new bottle is less intense with a bit of smokiness added. I think it'll work for most who like Varvatos Vintage. There is also a Rouge flanker that is somewhat similar to Lhomme Ideal Extreme minus the Almond.
Haven’t smelled it!
I love black orchid parfum, smells amazing and last all day
I need to get that Dior 2020.
I prefer the newest DH sport
(2021 or 2022 I think) it’s a little brighter for warmer weather but almost identical to DH 2020….easily an all season fragrance. Lasts all day if anyone “needs” that lol
Hey Justin, have you ever tried Narciso Rodriguez Bleu noir edt extreme? I´m wondering what you think of it
I haven’t!
wearing dior homme 2020 as the SOTD. A quick question. You mentioned iso e super, how about a quick lesson, to layer iso e super goes with what type of fragrances and what type of fragrances go with ambroxin? which goes with fresh scents and which goes with warm scents, if you don't mind giving one example. Thanks Justin
ISO goes great with warm spicy fragrances, as well as heavy citrus. Ambroxan works with almost anything.
Justin please make a video or tell me an alternative for Boszporusz Nishane or Live Jazz YSL EdT
I heard Beau de Jour is similar to Zino. But Zino bores me to death. I was a Teen when Zino was released and I always had a problem wearing it.
Justin. Are you in LA? Some of the videos look like you are somewhere mid Wilshire looking at the hills
Not LA!
NR Bleu Noir EDP is my scent of the day!
Same! It’s been my go-to since I bought it
I like Elixir , BUUUUT I tend to not like it as an everyday scent. Maybe once every couple weeks.
Gotta agree with Eau Givree for suuuure
Much success! God bless!
That Cartier & TDH punch well above their weight
Beau de Jour is a great one, as is Pasha. One I just discovered is Rogue Perfumery’s Mousse Illimunee. A nice old school scent that will appeal to a lot of people.
Dior homme 2020 reminds me a lot of bleu de chanel but a lot woodier.
❤ Love my Elixir……
🎉 Great list…..
Thanks!
Interesting, my favourite designer fragrance is Sauvage Elixir, and my favourite daily scent is Dior Homme 2020 lol. The only other fragrance I have on the list is Beau De Jour, which I love, but wear for myself as apparently it gives 'old man' vibes.
Haha! Nice. I’m glad you enjoy those too 👌🏾
