First, it's your fault I'm a Simmer, so thanks for that! (lol, you were streaming Werewolves when it came out; I started with Realm of Magic that same week and never looked back.) You made many good points today about AI tools (such as image search) versus generative AI; a lot of folks don't seem to know the difference, so I hope you helped clarify that for them. I feel obligated to tell you (as a fellow Simmer that spends way too much time making my game exactly what I want it to be) that the demon-eyed infants, toddlers, etc. aren't a game glitch. You have older CC in your game, and at least one is a default eye replacement. Otherwise, you don't get Occult eyes on non-occult kiddos. A lot of default eye replacements were updated for infants, so if you look up your favorites, you'll probably find an updated version. If not, you might be able to fix them with Sims4Studio. Hope that helps, and thanks for hyping up MySims and the other spin-offs; I love them, too, and I love seeing more and more people get excited to play!
OMG this is the best comment of my life first of all THANK YOU for telling me this. CC is a literal curse I need to just commit and fully purge it from my game. See what I mean!! I get people dont want to "restart" with sims 5 but it wouldnt be bad if sims 5 released as a complete game, unlike 4. Why do we put up with paying for content that should be base game?
Like seasons, parenthood/generations content, and pets should be in the base game.
@@whydoIneedahandleomg not saying this is a good thing, but seasons and pets have always been expansion packs ever since the beginning of the franchise, and i highly doubt even if sims 5 was happening that ea would have included those in the base game bc they're a money hungry company and they know those are the most popular packs people will buy 😅

Like yeah the previous games didnt have them as base game either, but games ARE meant to improve over time so i think if the sims was owned by a better company, then they should strive to be better than the older games and add more content in the base game. But its like NO video games these days try to be better than the older games in the franchise and it results in so many game franchises having their BEST game be from like, 2004-2008 while their games from like 2012-now give us CRUMBS!!!! 😭

Hahaha .. I don't play sims. But as a gamer that has gamed for as long as I can remember .. I can guarantee you one thing with absolute, 100% certainty. No sims will ever, ever, ever release fully complete with all the fucntions, abilities etc you love. Ever. That's like asking for a complete paradox game.. No, you're going to get the base game. Then for multiple years they're going to drip feed you content that you pay hundreds of dollars for. And when the game is finally at a really good place, when it's finally really great. They will release a new one, barebones, missing everything from the previous game and start over. To be honest, I hope you ladies have some standards and just switch to that Inzoi game or whatever it was called. Don't fall for brand loyalty. Don't buy every DLC. Pirate if you must
The only saving grace about Sims 4 is that its SO easy to pirate. New expansion comes out and you can grab it on the same day. If not for that, I wouldn't touch this game with a 10ft pole. It's just so much stuff coming out all the time

My problem with the sims 4 staying around is that eventually, if it keeps going, its going to have too much stuff and you're going to have to piece meal your game. Like i want this pack enabled dont this this pack to the point where your game experience is diluted because some "should be core" game systems are locked in a pack with unrelated crap and now you have to pick and choose
This is something I think about A LOT. I wish there weren’t a million different systems for every single little thing. It makes the UI very cluttered the more packs you have
The only good thing that has really come out of the Sims 4 are third-party creators and their creativity to make the game less lame.
I just miss placing lots and building a house like we could in previous games 😢
There are so few lots too. You have to demolish someone's home and lose neighbors if you want more than 1 or 2 new venues for your sims to go to. It's so limiting!
The problem isn’t that they are doing an online sims or making spin off games the problem is that everything they have made since the sims 4 came out is significantly worse quality content then previous generations of sims and it won’t get any better because people keep giving them money for bad quality content so they will keep making bad quality content…also they have tried sims online it was a disaster and if the way the make sims 4 content is any idea of how they will run sims online it will also be a disaster this time in my opinion…I would love to see more re releasing of old games so long as they don’t try and get rid of things to make it more “safe” like sims 4 bc that’s part of why sims 4 is so boring and lifeless compared to previous games is they took all the crazy stuff out to make it friendlier to younger people at least that’s how I feel. Also for me at least the reason it’s upsetting that they aren’t coming out with sims 5 is because the sims 4 was built on a terrible foundation to start with so it’s never going to be good no matter how many bugs they fix. its been pretty well acknowledged that it was slapped together last minute after they scrapped most of it and that really isn’t something they can fix so it’s disappointing because I was hoping they’d start developing sims 5 and we’d have a better foundation for it and not have it missing almost everything from previous games. then they could possibly make a good sims game again though I still wouldn’t hold out hope because they’d still probably go with the omg look how quirky I am style like sims 4 has instead of the crazy chaos style sims used to have.
sims 4 is the worst thing to happen to the franchise, worse than 3 in every way even so long after release, just a money grab that people continue to dump money into

It’s been 10 years, why are you guys still having high expectations when the sims 4 was barebones at launch in 2014, shouldn’t you know by now that this game all started from a scrapped online game called “Project Olympus” hence why we don’t have the “create a style” feature.
i remember playing sims 2 daily for years - i can't even play a afternoon sims 4 without feeling bored... idk how people do it but it's so dull

no packs that have come out for the sims 4 in the last few years has personally interested me so i just feel like i've given up on the game tbh. i was hoping for the sims 5 would have less predatory dlc practices but ig its still a ways off now before we'lll see (although knowing ea it will probably be worse) :'). regardless i am very excited to see any potential spin offs (i have dreamed of more mysims games for YEARS) so i am like tentatively looking forward to see what theyre cooking
I’m definitely not against The Sims expanding the franchise and collaborating with creators, but the Sims 4 is already a pretty broken game. You would think their priority would be fixing the existing expansion packs so that they have an actual good foundation to build more things on. I know that’s listed in their blog post but I really wish it was a priority. Like at the forefront of the post. I’ll give them props for expressing this, but it seems like their focus is now gonna be split amongst all of these other things. Idk, maybe this is a hot take, but EA isn’t known for being the most transparent company lol
the games industry is in shambles right now, and EA are finding new ways to increase profit margins and exploit workers and consumers. outsourcing free labour - like u mentioned - and charging for shit that used to be free - paid mods etc, in addition to laying off 5% of their workforce.
frankly there’s just no excuse for a game as expensive as The Sims 4, from a company as huge as EA to be so lacking in depth, personality and the quality that made the original games so great. honestly, there are plenty of promising life sims in the works from indie developers that need our support and are far more deserving of our attention😭💗
Insane that they're blaming Sims 4 gameplay hours to justify not creating another Sims game. "We don't want you to have to start over" like what? People can continue to play Sims 4 and play Sims 5 when it releases.
Anyways, I'm posting this as someone who only plays Sims 2. There are completely separate games, its not one or the other.
For me, it’s disappointing that they are continuing to work on the sims 4 because not only is it SO expensive to own everything (which is pretty necessary if you want to download creator builds) but also everything they do causes new, often game breaking, save corrupting bugs!
I want them to leave it alone so players can mod out the issues and add features and those mods will always be up to date. I don’t want more half baked features *inspired* by the mods I use, I just want the mods!
Let me just settle in with what exists already and play it. I’m tired. I don’t need new and exciting from the sims i need stability!
I've heard a lot of people say similar things to your comment and it makes me confused. i ask this genuinely and not in a rude way at all, but why would you want them to "leave" the sims 4 "alone" for players to "mod" the issues... I feel like it's a good thing that the SIms team is willing to be more transparent about being more active when it comes to fixing bugs? And having modders try and fix issues and add features that put a bandaid on the issues in-game while the Sims team does nothing seems odd ??? Like people (rightfully) criticize the company for not taking enough action to fix their game.... why should we be okay with letting modders do all the work? and for what compensation? It doesn't seem fair to them. I have the opinion that modders should not be the SOLE solution for making the game better.... the actual dev team themselves should put in the effort... which seems to be what they said themselves. The Sims team are being vocal about the glitches in the game and trying their best to fix them and for some reason people are surprised that they want to keep the SIms 4 around for longer? Do people want them to abandon a game ridden with bugs??? I don't know I just don't understand at all what seems to be hypocrisy from players that seem to be contradicting themselves.
@@sevdreams See ideally, I DO want the sims team to fix the game, of course! I just genuinely don’t believe it’s possible.
No matter how much they fix, EA still requires them to release new content that, because it’s so rushed, is always filled with bugs. And just breaks everything all over again.
I don’t blame the sims team for this, I blame the publisher. The devs do seem to genuinely love their game and I wish them the best. But I just have been let down time and time again and there’s zero evidence to me that the game won’t be a buggy broken mess in 5 or 10 more years. EA cares only for their bottom line and will give the devs only the bare minimum in time and resources to keep simmers buying.
I don’t want modders to have to be releasing bug fixes instead of awesome extra content but they feel like my only hope. More updates and content just breaks those mods and makes them do more work, so for me, it feels better to just leave well enough alone at this point.

The Sims 4 is laggy and crashy already as a sungle player game. Imagine how much worse the lagging and crashing will be in a mutliplayer setting with potential hundreds of Sims on a lot at once. I cringe. I cringe hard.
I played The Sims 4 on a 10 year old laptop and it worked fine compared to The Sims 3 where I was using a laptop that was like 2 years old at the point of The Sims 3 coming out and the game that was super laggy was The Sims 3
Yess, saying the game is working fine if you dont use mods its crazy lmaooo. Satch on sims records without mods a lot of times and NO PUBLIC LOT WORKS PROPERLY!!!?
@@bgjck that's because base game sims 3 when it came out had more in it then sims 4 with most expansions, also sims 3 was open world loll no load screens, minimal rabbit holes, can place your own lots around the world lol

FINALLY someone else openly saying that Rene was never meant to be The Sims 5 😭😭 The amount of content creators I've seen call it that when it was QUITE CLEAR about not being the start of the new sims generation always got on my nerves.
Actually they said something like the next "generation" or "iteration" of the Sims when Renee was initially announced. Up until the most recent behind the Sims where they doubled back on that a bit and said it would "exist alongside" Sims 4. Every Sims game has been called "Project something something" by the way. Sims 4 was "project Olympus" until it was sims 4. It was also going to be an online multiplayer game until SimCity 2013 failed massively and killed basically the whole SimCity Franchise, then they doubled back, reformatted, and it became the single player sims sequel game "Sims 4".

I'm aware of Project Olympus too and how the Sims 4 came to be, so maybe Simmers just noticed a pattern and jumped ahead because it had worked like that before--but, /personally/ of course, unless The Sims Team outright says "This is The Sims 5," there really shouldn't be people saying a game in the works Is The Sims 5. But the company's wording in the beginning did mess with people perception a lot, so initial confusion does make sense!
@@reaperassasin11I honestly think they didn’t know where they were going with Project Renee and I do think there was a time it either was or could have been Sims 5. And the reason they let the speculation continue was to ‘read the room’ as it were.
But everything about there initial wording was pretty bog standard to what they would have said for a Sims 5 until the last Behind the Sims which was a pivot to “existing alongside”. I think its a lie to say Renee was *never* the Sims 5, I think it was or at least could have been at some point and due to the failure of Sims Online and SimCity 2013 in the past they finally probably decided this project was best launched as a spinoff to not threaten the mainline game series. Honestly they could also have been working on multiple possible directions for Sims 5 of which Renee was ONE.
But I don’t honestly think it was “never” the Sims 5, I think that’s the lie EA is shoveling now based on what they said at initial announcement vs currently. Because why would Sims 5 have been “cancelled” for PS5 if it never existed?
I was violently cursing this news death of the franchise etc… but then I realized it died years and years ago and I’ve already been mourning, so this news is no big deal😂
I understand EA doesn’t want to rehash a decades worth of expansion content, but they can’t keep building on top of the mountain of trash code that is the Sims 4.
The Sims 3 is my favorite Sims game to date, I have enjoyed playing it for years and love how all the mechanics come together. Playing The Sims 4 for the first time about 3ish years ago I remember my first initial thought being “Oh, The game just hasn’t like…baked yet”. It felt a bit empty. My enjoyment finally started up when I began purchasing packs. I like The Sims 4…. It’s a good game, I just feel like it hasn’t captured the kinds of special magic other titles in the brand has yet. I would love to see what they do with the game in the future. I’m optimistic as I wouldn’t mind supporting the devs for their hard work. ❤️
It's because 3 was made with the idea of maybe having a couple DLC so the base game was a full game. The fact that 4 started with not having a baby phase at all showed EA planned on making 4 a DLC cash cow after how well the dlc did with 3. You can easily play 3 with no dlc at all. 4 you almost have to have DLC and it still doesn't feel as you put it baked.

Hi, multigamer-Sims game already existed in the 2000s with the first opus: The creator requested to shut it down because internal Mafias ruled it and there was shady businesses to get more money than the game's mechanics could allow the players to. Simlore did 2 great vids about it. Cheers!

i feel so similar to you about a lot of this, i don’t think we know enough about the ai use at this time. completely agree that i am against generative ai ! my main concern with the image search ai is that ai programs are terrible for the environment but i don’t know enough yet about this specific use to form a full opinion.
and yes to the shareholders being the ones making our games worse with their greed!
i’m not ready for the sims 4 to end yet either, i think it can be better and they can add a lot to it still. so i’m not upset by them continuing to support it.
I personally don’t like generative ai for two reasons, the environment of course, and also the ethical issues with it. As an illustrator it is something that bothers me a lot. But… oh well. I am not completely informed to fully hate on it either. As long as it’s ethical and clean for the environment I’m okay…

the ai the sims is talking about using is like a reverse image search and I just don't know the ethical and environmental ramifications of that particular type of ai yet
sims 4 cash grab, a 5 would just start from the scratch the grab cash all over again, but at least with some hope would not be that bad as 4 is, 3 is the game, explore a tiny village or other places is so cool without a load screen even to visit your neightbor
Liss, I could never get into Sims 4. It doesn't feel as fleshed out as earlier versions. I like Sims 2 the best but only play Sims 3 because of compatibility with my computers. I truly dislike how EA makes us pay for stuff that should be IN THE GAME™(Madden joke). I know you've played Stardew Valley... if EA bought it they would carve out the sewer, the island, and the community center and sell them as expansion packs. 🤬

I agree with you when it comes to content creators and running with a certain narrative it’s so annoying once the “thesimcommunity” posted on the Instagram that Sony was allowing mods like if you know anything about PlayStation no they don’t allow that stuff and they didn’t apologise for spreading misinformation. They just deleted the post.

As someone who only played the Urbz on PS2 (based game btw), I think it’s smart of EA to continue to make spin-off, Sims-style games with varying takes/levels of the Sims gameplay. Attracts people like me who shy away from something like Sims 4 that just has so much going on.
I adore the spinoffs!
I love the Urbz, this is the only piece of news I'm excited about.
Thing is... this frachise was ruined in 2014, when the Sims 4 came out. That was the time when their priority from quality to quantity shifted drastically.
i can't wait for the Sims 4 2.0 and EA calling it Sims 4 Refreshed Edition with some DLC packs tweaked or just ported into.

EA has had a long history of cash grabbing and monopolizing genres of the gaming industry. I’m mostly used to it for pro football and hockey games but it hurts a bit to see the sims go down this path. At least the new content seems interesting and hoping the sims 5 is a COMPLETE game when it’s finally done
If they're not going to make a sims 5 they're gonna have to do some major revamping of sims 4. Update the visual quality and add some major free update mechanics. if its just continuous paid expansions that are all self contained like they usually do people are going to move on to other games. We finally have some competitors coming out.
as for the re-release of mysims, I never was into them, I was too old when they came out, but I'm hoping this leads to a rerelease of The Sims 2.

First and foremost I like that they are finally focusing on making more spinoffs in the Sims universe
But in saying that I very much dislike how the main series has become a huge cash grab with so many DLCs (many of which should of been in the base game)
However they could EASILY turn it around by doing the following for Sims 5
- transfer save data from Sim 4
- Multiplayer
- all of the base game & non licensed DLC in the base game for Sims 5
- less DLC & cheaper DLC but more stuff like the Star Wars Journey to Batuu Game Pack
- Vehicles
- Dating Preferences (from Sims 2)
- more small interactions from past games like cuddling from Sims 2 for example
- customizable character hight
- a more interactive baby stage & the toddler stage being there day 1
- more time with raising your babies/toddlers
- seasonal/holiday events similar to how Animal Crossing does it
- Create-A-Style (from Sims 3)
- Open World's (from Sims 3)
- Amusement Parks & Zoos (with buying & running them as an option)
- Autosave option
- actually owning businesses like Bars/clubs, music venues, sports clubs, convenience stores, mechanic shops ect
- More jobs you can actually go to
Are people mad because there will be no sims5? How would they know if sims5 happen it would be better than sims4? Honestly I’m happy there won’t be a sims5. They should focus on fixing problems on sims4 and improve the game.

Sims Multiplayer was teased for forever and Sims 4 could have been that game, but I'm glad we're getting something or an update on anything multiplayer related. Not a big fan of the AI stuff, but as long as core features aren't affected by it I'm fine just ignoring it.
I think the big issue with Project Rene being a multiplayer project is the fact that they didn't say anything about it BEING one until just now
100% on everything you said. The community has a tendency to build their expectations off little information and speculation, and they're always gonna be disappointed when announcements are made. Fixing issues with TS4 instead of completely abandoning it is a GREAT thing!! I'm very excited to see where they take the game. I've been wanting more of the spin-off titles again!! That was part of what made the sims so fun growing up.

I do believe the Sims 5 was in development though. It was a separate project (not Project Rene) and was rumored to have been cancelled internally. That's a big disappointment for me personally, since Sims 4 went backwards in fidelity from Sims 3. I've been waiting for 10 years now for them to finally move on. I guess here's to 6-7 more years of waiting. 1-2 to figure out Sims 4 actually sucks, and 4-5 to develop the proper sequel.
InZoi will hopefully be the competitor EA needs to get it together.
I don’t go to the Sims 4 anymore, but I’m begging on my hands and knees for EA to just let the game die. Please. The code base is so old, every new pack and expansion breaks the game, major issues still aren’t being fixed, and they’d probably have more success financially just making Sims 5.
I’m tired of them saying a bunch of stuff but having no follow through. Year after year of nonsense. I don’t even care anymore, I’ll play sims 4 on occasion but I prefer playing sims 2 and other older games. At least they cared back then.
So disappointed in Sims 4. If I'm totally honest Sims2 was my favorite game and though the look is better now I think it has gone down hill and become a stale money grab. I'll pass on more of the expansion pkgs. I just can't muster the energy to be a sims apologist. EA is being lazy with this game

I would LOVE to seenthem create games like Urbz or Bustin out, but teuthfully, I dont think they have it in them to create somethjng so fun and quirky these days. I havent touched my beloved sims franchine in years besides the old games.
The talent lost long ago or just forced to make a boring game by pieces. Sims 4 is a broken mess yet many people keeping it alive and feeding EA with their spending habits. I never spent money on the Sims series because it is a predatory tactic to release a full game segmented and each one costs a full game price.
Don't feed them, easy thing but many still does and the news about there will no be Sims 5 (partly a good thing) the worst game of the franchise will gets more servicing which is a broken mess in the fundaments so no matter how much they are adding it will remains a broken mess.
Making a total redone is a huge task and at this point it is not really feasible because more expensive to make it work an old engine than creating a whole new game on a superior engine. This game have limits and by tossing some extra to it will not make it any better.
EA just should go defunct.

I was honestly super angry thinking there WAS going to be a Sims5. I don’t understand why people want EA to do exactly what we’ve been bashing them for this whole time. They have actually been filling up the game and actively making patches and updates… why ask for ANOTHER game so they can stop making what we have better? I abandoned Nintendo for doing that to Animal Crossing NH.
Thats not comparable i think, Animal crossing NH got updated for like 2 years and it got “abandoned”. The sims 4 has been going on for more than 10 years and all the latest expansion packs were garbage that didn’t add much to gameplay. 10 years!!!! People are gonna be so disappointed when they realize EA is not making ts4 better, thwy are just gonna focus on mobile micro transactions from the SIMS lobby app they announced yesterday night
cant cancel something that never was. Project Rene ALWAYS said they were adding new features that would CO EXIST w sims4 THEY never not once advertised sims 5. Never happened. Project Rene director even did interviews discussing the plan they always said what it was. So really, stop with the trolling sims5 is cancelled nonsense.
I hope whatever Nintendo’s next system is it will have The Sims on it

If everyone always listened carefully, the Sims 5 was never a thing to begin with. It was always "Project Rene" and always caused so much confusion. I don't think EA ever confirmed they were working on a new stand alone Sims game, but rather expanding their multiplayer and collaborative functionalities. Its unfortunate that they were never properly clear with their language and made everyone assume a Sims 5 was coming.
THANKYOU for explaining the difference between utility AI and generative AI. I absolutely am against generative AI. To me, it feels like it takes away the point of playing the game yourself. Why have AI make a Sim when you can make one yourself. It used to be seen as fun not just work.
I think it's hilarious that 'project rene' is a multiplayer game, which the majority of simmers don't want. EA strikes again. And I'm glad they're sticking with Sims 4 instead of making a Sims 5 because that will just push more simmers back to Sims 3, the best game ever.
great video, but I do wanna point out that this is not the franchise's first time making an online multiplayer experience. As far back as the first sims game there was the sims online. I'm not opposed to EA experimenting with spin offs and stuff, but I'm disappointed that as for mainline games, the sims 4 is what we're stuck with. When the sims 4 released I was so upset with how broken and empty it was and it has stayed broken. The sims 4 is boring, no matter how many packs no matter how many updates, it has stayed boring. I want the substance that came with sims 2 with graphical updates and new features. I am more than ready to start over, that's how video games work, and we have had 10 whole years to coddle the sims 4. It's time to move on. they will be unable to maintain the sims 4 eventually, hardware advancements as well as building on an already shaky foundation will eventually cause a collapse.
I’m glad I decided to ditch the sims 4 back in 2019-2020. Cause, sorry, I disagree with a lot of things.
Restarting with a new game is expensive cause die hard simmers let that to happen. People keep buying every single pack from the sims 4 cause EA keeps splitting content in different packs and making packs that basically works like upgrades for gameplay and mechanics that already are in the base game (who said we needed a wedding pack? That should’ve been an UPDATE). When people keep buying these packs, they’re allowing EA to make the game more greedy and more expensive.
Also, the game came out 10 years ago. Everybody restarted every time a new entry came out and bought every expansion, why is people acting like its the first time they buy an entire new sims game with all of its upcoming packs? I don’t believe that’s a good argument. Even if a new game came out, people can still play the sims 4, it is not going anywhere.
And lastly, as I said, this game has been supported for 10 YEARS, in 10 years they haven’t done anything with the game but making it worse. What makes people think that the game is going to be fixed any time soon? Everybody says that same argument every year and every year they make even more mistakes with the game and delivers even more uninspired packs, more splitted content, and people complains about new bugs again and again. It’s never going to improve. The sims series is going to die if EA doesn’t make a move QUICK cause there’s already promising new life simulation games, and I got a feeling that with these new games, more developers will make their own life simulation games. The sims will have the same fate as sim city. It’s sad but it’s true.
Although we already have amazing spin-offs and 3 amazing main tiltes, and those are not going anywhere

You know, switching from 3 to 4 wasn't jarring just because of the lack of packs, pools and toddlers, the whole game was a step backward. Small neighborhoods of a couple lots instead of full open towns, only a couple community lots instead of all the basic services, disappearing off-screen to work instead of going to a rabbit hole, no color wheel or pattern customization... I'm not saying these are absolutely essential to a life sim, but they were things we had in 3 that 4 just dropped. The only things that are unequivocally better in 4 are CAS and Build mode. Back in the day, when I switched from 2 to 3, it was a bit jarring to lose all my packs, but the base game was such a technical improvement in my eyes, and was so promising, that I didn't think twice about it.
the MySims and potential for Sims spinoffs gives me hope for what i think I want, The Urbz as a remake, sequel, or reboot.

I want a proper Sims 5 but really I'm ok with sims 4 either, I just want Dine Out to be fixed tho lol
I think they tested the waters on creating new, story-based sims games when they released Strangerville. I'm excited to see what they come up with! A couple of the potential packs they pitched in the survey align with the idea off story-based spin off games (like the Sims 2 console story ones, or the psp ones!)
Regarding community testing, I definitely don’t think it should replace QA however, I do think that it is important to get feedback outside of the corporate bubble.
The Sims 4 is the game that I will always love but always criticize. It’ll never be perfect and I’m OK with that. Personally speaking, I’ve dumped so much money into this game and own almost every single pack so I definitely want to keep playing and not have to start all over. But for new players, I can totally understand why they would be angry because it would be nice to invest your money into a game that actually works consistently 😂
Need paralives to come out so they have competition in the market. But I'd like a multiplayer mode too, because I always have more fun playing along with friends.
I would love for you to play Project Zomboid, it's basically the best zombie survival game period, but it's kinda based on Sims.
I have spent so much money on the sims 4 that I am ok with them modernizing it and fixing it at this point. I am bummed at the way it’s looking for the future for now. I definitely believe Sims 4 is where it’s going to end with me. I won’t invest in any social platforms for sims or mobile games or any of that stuff. I’ll stick to playing. Sims 2 -4 for the rest of time 😆

I’m in the middle of the road honestly. I don’t think we need TS5 and they just need to focus on fixing this game. But at the same time, the more packs they add on the buggier and buggier the game will get. I also don’t understand why we need online play.
If they keep adding more content to TS4 its never going to be this bugless game that runs perfectly. Adding so much broken content on top of broken content is what causes the bugs in the first place.

Hey girl, love your videos! Just a correction, not all Generative AI is stealing content! One example of this is Generative AI for Product Design and Fabrication. Basically it is used on product design to create shapes that are more topologically efficient (it uses less material for the same, if not better, resistance). Basically the program uses what it knows about the forces applied on the object and generates a bunch of shapes that can resist it, and then the designer and engineer can go in and test those shapes and make adjustments. It decreases the creation period by a lot!
Yes, i am a geek for this because this was my thesis for university lol. Also the shapes generated are really cool! Looks like vines and plant roots!
The only reason I am commenting on this subject is because I think saying "all Generative ai is stealing content and is bad!" is creating this stigma around ALL Generative ai, and some of it can have a lot of benefits! For example, this process I described can be used for the creation of medical devices like prosthesis and orthosis, making them (hopefuly) cheaper, extremely customizable and faster! Honestly love >this< type of generative AI.
What I can say is that AI for image generation is 100% stealing from others and I don't like it one bit lol
