Thanks for the tips, I was looking around to start trout fishing.
Regarding 8:17 I fish singles even for pike and I use circle hooks with a double bend - the Owner Mutu Light for examples. You cannot lose a fish on them. For anybody that wants to fish singles, use the circle: it's also self-setting.

Well, the ByLaws won't effect Me Dan, as there are no Trout round here. The nearest Is place Is about 5 mile away. Without a car, might as well be on the Moon. Oh well at least I can sit Indoors and watch others do It. Keep 'Em Coming, for those that can't.

Have you tried fishing public waters recently? Might be a good idea to highlight just how bad they've become, if fishing ballifs refuse to target poachers why do we pay money for fishing licences?

I totally agree. Rode down the river Nene NORTHAMPTON this morning and people fishing and no bailiffs and asked to see rod licenses and no joy there !!!! Rang EA nor really interested but say thanks for calling. Hour later on way back still there. What a joke eh
