Re hydrochloric acid: that's why you should brush your teeth after you vomit. Because stomach acid is the same thing and can slowly dissolve your teeth. People with bulimia have this problem from forcing themselves to vomit.
Have you ever thought of putting the same thing in jars and putting it in different temps? (Fridge, garage, and something hotter)? You could do one or 2 things at a time in the same liquid in those different environments. I’d think that be quite interesting. How would lye react if it was cold, warm, or simmering? Just a thought, but very interested!
