Hi! We think it really helps that drivers in Japan are generally kind and patient on the road. On our end, we make it a point to not drive more than 40-50km/h on very icy roads and when visibility is low. Also, there are also lots of expressways in Hokkaido that cut through mountain ranges and they tend to be windy, be extra careful when driving along those as well. Other than that, just be sure to allocate a good amount of travel buffer time and pit stop rests so that you can recharge before continuing on the road 😊
