      Thank you so much for watching, we’re so happy you stumbled upon our vlog just in time. Hope that you have a blast in Hokkaido 🙏🏻 when driving on snowy roads, we try not to go over 50km/h, set ample buffer time and breaks to get to destinations. Hopefully that helps!

    Hi, may I know about the drone spec used in this video, and the regulations/procedure required to be abided?

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Will, we filmed the drone footages here using the DJI Mini 3 Pro. In Japan, you are required to register your drones online as long as it weighs more than 100g so Mini 3 Pro qualifies. You can register and refer to the drone rules here too www.mlit.go.jp/koku/drone/en/
      Hope this helps! 😄

    How were the road conditions from Asahikawa to Tomamu? I have a similar route planned in December but many ppl been telling us not to drive 😢

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We’re not sure about conditions in December as this trip was back in February when it was peak snowfall (snowfall happened overnight and during the day it was mostly clear). So visibility was clear during the day and we tried not to drive at night as much as possible. Also we stayed at an inn near Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, about 10 mins away so it wasn’t much of an issue for us

    I'm contemplating of renting a car or by bus to travel here. Do you mind sharing the rental cost, including fuel and toll price?

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course! We rented the Toyota ROOMY model and that was ¥6600 for a day (please keep it mind that price might have gone up since then). Fuel was conservatively about ¥2000. And there was no toll between Asahikawa, to Biei and Furano (maybe there was but we opted for no toll route and you can toggle for this on your google maps)

    How did you travel into Furano? By train? Will you recommend going these places in this episode for those without car?

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We had a rental car and drove from Asahikawa, Biei and to Furano. It’s possible to commute between Asahikawa, Biei and Furano by train. However you have be okay with being restricted to the train timings, which might not work well with your itinerary. If you’re taking the train you really have to plan out your route and timings in order to have a smooth commute between attractions 😊

    Hi! May I know which month did you make your travel to Hokkaido and how do you find driving there? Considering to rent a car for my upcoming travel in December but I have no experience driving in the snow :)

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! We filmed this when we were there in for a month in Feb 2023 and it was our second time driving during winter in Japan. Overall, we find driving during the season pretty manageable. 2 crucial points from our experience that we tried to practice whenever possible: first is to keep speed limit below 50km/h and second is to allow ample rest time in between when we do long drives. Also, rental cars in Japan are equipped with snow tyres in the winter time so that gives lots of peace of mind. As long as you’re a seasoned driver in your own country, we feel you should try it while keeping safety in mind 😊 Do also note that it’s right hand drive in Japan!

    Hi may i know how do i get there to and fro Furano Station via bus? Thanks!

    • @shoyutheworld
      @shoyutheworld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! We're not sure where in particular you're trying to get to and fro from Furano Station, but presumably you're referring to Ningle Terrace as featured in our vlog 😄 From Furano Station, there are buses available that will take you directly to New Furano Prince Hotel which is where Ningle Terrace is located. There are also buses back to the station if you need. However, do take note that bus frequencies are not a lot and the last available bus in winter is pretty early in the late afternoon from what we can remember!

      @@shoyutheworld Hello, thank you for the awesome guide to winter itinerary in Furano/Biei. May I ask if hailing a taxi from the Ningle Terrace to the Furano Station will be easy (do I have to get a taxi from the nearby hotel instead)? I've checked the last bus timing departing from New Furano Prince Hotel to be 4PM, which isn't ideal as my family and I would love to stay for the night lights at the Ningle Terrace >
