If you're getting into Bangkok late at night, I recommend the taxi. And yes, if you have a large suitcase they want to charge you for the larger case. When they told me that, I told them they have just reduced their tip that amount. They have started doing that the last 3 or 4 years. But don't let that bother you. You're on vacation and that's a little thing. I have always told people going on vacation, if you don't have a good time, it's your own fault.

When i was there in January ,i took a trip to Lop Buri , to go and photograph the Monkey temple . As i was on the train i saw this massive station on the way , so i decided to go have a look at it the next day when i got back to Bangkok . Luckily the return journey had me stop at Bang Sue , so i decided to check it out while i was there . Now generally i am not a fan of modern constructions , but geeze that station is impressive and huge . Maybe worth a video for your fans ?
Another great video Arsen. Can you make a video about ways to go to the Isan region from Bangkok? Places like Korat in Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, khon Kaen etc.. Thank you
One thing I would advise is if it is raining in Bangkok take the bts, mrt, or arl rather than a taxi or grab because they could be hard to get and the traffic will be horrendous making for a long trip.
I also have a tip before you wait 20 minutes for a taxi, I would take the train out of the airport. The second tip is to stop at the top floor. Briefly unload the taxis to the people from the airport. You can take them straight away and they will be happy because straight away a connecting customer comes and you don't have to pay any extra fees, which are sometimes the case with shared taxis, such as suitcase fees etc

When i was on my way home from Bangkok last January , i decided to get a taxi at Terminal 21 and the 1st one wanted 1000 baht , then the 2nd one wanted 800 baht , I knew it was way to high , so i just got the rail link and that cost me less than 100 baht
Actually, the last two times, the public taxi did try to scam. After getting my ticket from the taxi at the kiosk, walking to the parking spot number on my ticket, the taxi driver took my ticket and told me to get in. He asked me where I'm going. I told him and ALWAYS, in my experience, the driver acts as if he doesn't know where it is and then says 600 or 700 baht. I tell him no, please use meter. His attitude changes, and the meter goes on. And keep your phone map on. My last driver went and went an extra stop further from the freeway so he could run up the meter coming back down Sukhumvit. I told him to stop here, ill walk. I gave him the fare plus 100 baht tip. He then tried to charge me 40 baht for my backpack(no suitcase) that I kept next to me the entire time. I told him to take 40 baht out of the 100 I gave him. The principal is everything.
You can take the photo of the ticket and let the driver take the ticket. After that you can report the driver by using that ticket. The driver didn’t want the passenger keep the ticket because it has all the details of the driver.
My hotel was just 2 blocks from Phaya Thai. Online I couldn't see if I could walk there, driving directions went a mile away then a mile back. When I got there, i could see there was a direct route to my hotel on foot.

The grab line outside is insane. Not sure what they did with the new system but it seems inefficient. I just used one of the machines next to the line and they had to honor it as I printed the ticket before the attendant could get to me 😂 saved an hour

I never buy a sim card from the airport, they are a rip off! 4x the price!!! you can go to any 7/11 and buy there, for 3 weeks expect to pay 200thb I use True network and it was flawless all over Thailand
@@lastpreacher9093 I partly agree, it's not a big deal, but......all those not big deals add up. You can use the airport wifi to make contact with your booked taxi and let people know you have arrived then buy at the lower price outside of the airport.

Please if possible, report the event and your ticket to the authority. Let's help keep the system clean from this kind of illegal act.

An overpriced sim-card in Thailand for a western tourist is honestly no big deal. After all, you’re going to enjoy Thailand on a bargain.

@@lastpreacher9093 I partly agree, it's not a big deal, but......all those not big deals add up. You can use the airport wifi to make contact with your booked taxi and let people know you have arrived then buy at the lower price outside of the airport.
