  • In this video I walk you through the steps to build a simple spline jig for your table saw. I added a t-track to be able to adjust where to cut the slots. I used Baltic Birch plywood since this type of plywood has consistent layers with no voids. It is perfect for woodworking jigs.

Nice job. I've seen a number of makers videos for making spline jigs and I liked them. But, I think I like your design the best. You might want to think about doing a video for your crosscut sled. I know I would be interested in seeing it and I'm others would too. Food for thought.... :)

Thank you Reuben, I appreciate that! I am seriously considering upgrading to a new table saw and eventually making a new crosscut sled to match. 👍

I really love the simplicity and accuracy of this sled. Question...it looks like you used 3/4” ply for the base and cradle pieces. With that, how high do you typically raise the blade to cut the spline slots on your boxes?

Hey Adam, thanks for the support. Unfortunately I don't have a video for the sled. I built it a few years ago before I even thought about social media ha!

Why didn't you use a flat kerf blade?

Not of fan of the background music because I wear hearing aids and it already difficult to hear, but I subscribed.
