I love how the fanboys bring up 2022 and say that Daboll didn’t forget how to coach. They cite the 6-2 start but ignore the 3-5-1 finish. They also ignore that the ball bounced the right way EVERY time (I.e. how many Daniel Jones picks were either dropped or called back by a penalty???). 2022 was a fluke year.

It’s time to move on! What’s next is to figure out which different ways the draft may pan out and who the QB free agents worthy of making a play for are available and might be interested in coming to the Giants and at what price. Is there a QB trade that could be made and at what cost. We need to come up with a strategy that covers all the different possibilities so that we’re prepared to act rather than complaining about how bad things are. Hopefully that’s what Giant management is doing. If you have anything to say of value, it’s got to be in that direction

Mara hasn’t made many good decisions since Accorsi left.

Love the show. Sorry I missed it when it was live. I think a central theme of the woes of the Giants the past 10+ years that we don't often hear discussed is that the Giants organization is extremely lousy at evaluating their own team's talent, which is a very challenging area for any ownership group, but the Giants really stand out as being exceptionally bad at evaluating the talent of their own team. There are numerous people working in the building that will never be held accountable for bad job performance. When Mara inserts himself in deciding to give Jones a bad contract, that consequently compromises their ability to evaluate Schoen's performance as a GM or fire him for making bad choices that Mara wanted made. I believe that many beat writers operate in a dynamic where they won't challenge Mara's management of the team in the same manner they would with a coach or GM becauce they don't want to risk losing access to the team. I really wished more writers challenged Mara directly for his mis-management of the team in both failing to correctly scout their own team and front office as well as hiring family members that have no accountability or consequences for bad performance and so the team keeps making bad choices over and over again and never learn from them. It's so hard to watch this team and watch the owner do a lousy team president job and not understand what he is doing poorly or see what needs to change for the team to be competitive and that feels very far way away and the arrow is sadly pointed in the wrong direction. I'm so angry about all this, I don't want to wear my Giants gear and I feel very divested from what they will do in the offseason and next season. It's a slow motion car collision and we can see next year will be bad and they should have clearly cleaned house including the Mara family out of the building right away. This is an all-time low experience watching the hapless Giants floundering in their quest to be the league's worst managed team.

Yeah. Mara is the root problem. He seems to me like he cares, but he's just totally clueless. He cannot recognize GM talent and hires awful people.

“In Brian Daboll’s case, listen, I’m in practice all the time,” Mara said. “I go to the team meetings, I watch the players, I watch how they react. I still think he’s the right guy."

Was Daboll's Black Monday press conference any different from other press conferences? I've never seen Daboll act any differently, at least not recently.

John Mara thought Jones reminded him of a young Eli Manning.
That tells you all you need to know about Mara's judgment.

Running it back with this regime that has proved to be subpar makes no sense. Do I trust Mara to choose a new GM and head coach? No. This is a terrible place to be as a Giants fan!

All primary and pertinent questions are obvious. This one is admittedly not especially important. Still, I'd like to Pat what you think about Isaiah Simmons. If he's not going to be used, why have him taking up a roster spot?
    Thanks Pat, appreciate your work.

It is an opinion on Joe and his draft. His 1st yr he didn't have his scouts, also it takes 3 yrs for these rookies to break out , ask Dexter, strahan, Mayfield, Darnold, the draft is not easy..Lets not forget how long it took for Joe to get the cap fixed.. Relax bud ..speak with logic, not onesided

@MrBruceWolf We have tried the turnover the staff and GM. Do you really want to do that going in to this off-season knowing you need a QB and picking at #3. If they get the pick / free agency wrong you will be at top of draft again next year. Daboll won coach of the year 2 years ago......is he suddenly not good enough? people slate Schoen for his major decisions yet most people agreed with them at the time.

At some point the commissioner will have to address the fact that the New York market is falling and threaten Mara and Tisch that selling the franchise would be in the league's best interest, like they did in Washington, even though that situation was far worse.
I don't understand how Mara is on the competition committee and he knows absolutely nothing about competition!

No comparison between the WC & NYG. WC were in legal hot water and even politicians in DC were threatening an investigation. Mara is part of the founding fathers of the NFL and none of the other owners ( who the commissioner reports to) would allow the NFL to threaten Mara and Tisch. ( BTW, the NFL is wealthier than ever despite the lousy teams in New Jersey.)

I’m tired of hearing about “the process.” What process? A flawed organizational roster building; poor drafting albeit ‘24 looks promising. Coordinator/assistants carousel, inordinate numbers of injuries and disregard for depth. Game day play calling on both sides of ball is subpar or worse.
How can one trust GM Joe to draft the proverbial franchise QB?
Process? Yup, flawed leading to disaster.
