OMG I don’t usually read the comment section. I’m 61, a life long service industry employee and well aware of the 10% of the population, completely miserable in their own existence. I feel sorry for them They deserve pity 😢 My husband and I have watched your channel from the beginning. ( we refer to you as “the girls” As in, “The girls have a new video today.”) We are in your cheering section. You have been an inspiration in our own journey ( we are hitting the road full time wed!) I know I’m not supposed to give trolls their life blood by responding so I won’t mention the gross unfortunate comments made by fellow “humans” Just happy thoughts on how great you guys are!! How you bring joy to real humans all over the place!! Keep it up Don’t stop Get it Get it Don’t stop 😎❤️😉😁 Thank you for being a source of good in the world
The worst part about our treck to the badlands last year was dealing with the dang ice cooler. It was awful. I couldn’t imagine doing that for months. I’m trying to convince wifey to do another Colorado road-trip this summer since we’re both teachers but we gotta replace the roof. Adulting SUCKS. I hope y’all like your new job. I know it’s tough at times but you’re legit living my dream right now. I want to be a full-time truck cramper content creator. Right now, i’m settling for lifestyle vlogger but I’ll get there. One of my OG subscribers lives in denver and just bought a camper. I recommend your channel to her! Amber should start a wood splitting tiktok, apparently it’s popular with the ladies, Put careless whisper for the sound and Giulietta will have to beat them off with a stick.😂
We look forward to your videos every weekend. So glad you’re at your work camp job and getting settled in. It looks beautiful! Great job on the shower! You two rock!
Will you continue to show your job duties? I've been curious about the camp host thing for years now. Also, get a water filter, that creek water is probably amazing.
I moved from Florida to Alamogordo, New Mexico. We came through Ruidoso at 7000+ ft above sea level. As soon as I got out of the car and walked to the bathroom, I nearly blacked out. Where we live is 4000+ ft above sea level. For 3 weeks I had trouble breathing. You have to take it slow. Don't talk too much at one time. Use the oxygen in the can. You may recover faster than me since I'm 67 yrs old. Nice campground. The snow is amazing. Be careful of Fires. We have 2 fires, one in Ruidoso and one near Cloud Croft. Stay safe & enjoy!❤❤
Hi honeys!!!❤ wow...snow? Yikes. The weather this year is soooo friggin crazy. Colorado. Great work camper job!!! Love to both of you.❤❤🏳️🌈 off grid? For summer? Wow. Be sure you get a shady spot. Give yourself a week to adjust to the altitude!! Coffee helps. Maybe you guys can obtain a pallet to stand on for your shower.
NW Florida is hotter than hell today. Just made my girls burgers in the damn oven because I refuse to spend another minute outside 😂😢. Great catching up on this video. Hope you’re having a blast!(looks like it)
Loved this one. Good thing about Colorado - in the Spring and Summer at least, it will snow but because we're so much closer to the sun, the snow will melt in a day or two. Pretty sure you can sharpen an axe on the same type of stone you would use on a knife. You can get them at Walmart if you end up doing a grocery run every couple of weeks or so. Love your site. Yay!
Thanks for the tips! The sun has been shining every day this week & you know we are LOVING that. Definitely wearing hats every day to protect from the rays 🌞
What an AWESOME camping / working experience this is going to be! What a beautiful area to spend so much time in. Get your fishing poles ready for that stream by you, must be some nice trout in it! I would also do some research on any gold panning in that stream, might be a little bonus! Anxious awaiting your next video! Be safe out there. Also keep an eye on Winston with Moose in the area, as Moose see dogs as a major threat (as in Wolves / Coyotes), and will try and stomp them before bothering humans!
I would put a filter on the water from the creek, even just a RV water filter. And then get some of that crosshatch squares to use as a shower floor. and a cheap chair. Othewise, I thought the ice tent was a great find. and think about one of those cheap washers so you can do clothes and then cut your laundry to every two weeks.
There is nothing like the feel of the Colorado Mountains and to hear a stream near by 🥰‼️❤️❤️ Moose will kick you , bears depends what kind, but I have developed a pretty excellent backup and fast walk routine🥰‼️For both! Aways stop look and listen. Do NOT RUN‼️
I just love y’all! Best video ever- I’ve been a follower since the Runaway Camper, y’all are so advanced and getting wiser! Best wishes for the new gig🌈
Thank you for sharing your adventure! I enjoy your videos. It looks like you're getting off to a great start. Looking forward to your work camp experience in Colorado. Have fun!
Great video girls looks like you’ve got it going on! Love the shower tent what a wonderful idea of that is. I am solo camp posting here in Tennessee at one of the state parks. I’ve got 82 sites. Hope all goes well for you.❤
I have stayed at Sugarbush. I love it. The ladies in the office are great! And it's on your way to beautiful Salida. I am in this area a lot. What is the name of the campground? Beware of altitude. It can cause many crazy things. You will be surprised how quick your lungs adjust to the altitude.
Your videos and adventures are truly enjoyable. I love the camp sites and places you discover. There's just one aspect that's a bit off the mark - your food choices and recipes. Given your journey began due to an autoimmune issue, it seems like there should have been a connection between the animal and dairy products and the truly unhealthy foods and your health. Since so much of your content features you cooking and eating, it feels like there has been a missed opportunity to explore healthier, greener living. I've come across two other couples, Vanwives and Ride And Seek, who seem to live such a healthy lifestyle with traveling and it's so inspirational. I hope to see some of this in the future for you.
Oh, also, wear sun block even if it's cool out, because, again, you're closer to the sun that high up and people get really bad sunburns in 70 degrees.
When I lived in Colorado I helped a couple friends log beetle killed trees starting in Spring. I loved how I didn't need a cooler for my drinks or food. It was so gorgeous in Colorado. I'm a FL girl (Miami) too. And was never landlocked before. I didn't mind being landlocked there as the views are so stunning and like nowhere else.
We totally agree! While editing the video and watching Amber chop up firewood I had the strongest urge to get out there and chop up some logs lol. It’s a great way to warm up out here in the mountains
Your videos and adventures are truly enjoyable. I love the camp sites and places you discover and the music adds a great touch. Your dog is the cutest. There's just one aspect that's a bit challenging to watch-your food choices. Given your journey began due to an autoimmune issue, it seems like there might have been a connection between the animal and dairy products, unhealthy foods, alcohol, and a healthier way of living. Since so much of your content features you cooking and eating, it feels like there's a missed opportunity to explore greener, more earth-friendly, healthier-for-your-body options. I've come across two other couples, Vanwives and Ride And Seek, who are very well-received, who seem to have such healthy lives. It might be worthwhile to take a look at their approach to cooking on the road as it's inspiring.
Thanks for the feedback and kind words! We have been vegan in the past and it isn’t for us. We believe in moderation, an active lifestyle and high quality food products. And every once in a while a good beer by the campfire 🔥 we are all different in our lifestyles and we respect how you chose to live yours
@@honeyiroam So true, and honestly just realizing that what we see is just every couple of weeks and doesn't represent a daily picture - it's easy to forget that and make an assumption that every day is the same!
I recognize that campground! We camped there a few years ago! I won’t give out the name for your privacy. We totally thought there was a bear one night, it was the camp host’s generator turning off (funny story) lol. We were at the campsite right across the road from them. Sorry for the ramble, just so excited for you all. I live in Denver and I think the weather is finally turning nice (mountain wise). So cool that you all are in CO for your camp job! We are planning on camping next weekend! Maybe we will see you all around this summer. @StevieGriffinVlog sent me here! Love your channel
I am super impressed with the shower tent (Hot Water) its Awesome. I am so glad you came across the Fiskars splitting axe. Yes!!! Holy crap its snowing again? Wow just wow. (so beautiful). I'm a native of Florida and have only seen snow one time in 1977 here. I so can't wait for the next video..... Love It!!! Have some fun.
I noticed your cord is right above the water bucket. Maybe move the cord away from the bucket so it doesn’t accidentally fall into the bucket and short out. Yikes! :)
Haha, I lived in Utah. Remember stepping in the snow and sinking to my waist. It will get crazy in the summer. Enjoy the quiet while u can. We live in a California State Park. So different out here. fires are discouraged in the summer and guest can’t harvest wood from the park. It’s food for the other trees. The generator is loud enough.... Are you sure you can’t depend on the solar panels or add a second battery? Just saying....
hey there! thank you for the sweet comment. we are from Florida, which should explain nthe fascination with snow. we are loving it. it's so beautiful here!
looks like you two are living the dream, yep, that looks really nice but we do have global warming as a problem, it would be super if you parked that thing and lived in one spot so we aren't using all the fossil fuels and causing harm to polar bears and such, think about it and have a great day

Such a Beautiful area! Thanks for bringing us along.

We look forward to your videos every weekend. So glad you’re at your work camp job and getting settled in. It looks beautiful! Great job on the shower! You two rock!
I'd get a small bamboo pallet to stand on in the shower..❤️🧡🦙💚💙💜🤎🤎🖤🤍
Good call! ❤️
What a cool find and nice shower set up. You two are set up. Enjoy the snow while it lasts. 😊
Taking in every moment! This is an amazing place
Will you continue to show your job duties? I've been curious about the camp host thing for years now. Also, get a water filter, that creek water is probably amazing.
Save a small jar of snow as a souvenir. Of course, it will melt, but it is a first.

We just love y’all. Thank You for taking us on your journey. Beautiful 🏕️
My sister use to live in between canyon city & Salida. Unfortunately, she moved to CA; too far since I live in Missouri. Have fun, I love CO.

show tent is a great idea
I’m excited to follow y’all on this new adventure!!
woo hoo! Living off-grid is no joke and we are loving the challenge!
❤ Voodo Ranger!!! the elk can be dangerous too! And just stay hydrated girls it helps with the lack of oxygen. And that will go away shortly.
Good luck. ❤❤
I live in pa , we have a few campgrounds close by 30 a night with no electricity, but showers work
Oh, also, wear sun block even if it's cool out, because, again, you're closer to the sun that high up and people get really bad sunburns in 70 degrees.
It looked like you were hitting the Nay Nay on that moose back away 😅
Amber, I want you knit cap!!!!!!!!! Ladies, I love your new home. Enjoy your new life in Colorado!
Nice Job! Love the creative work. BRAVO 👏😁. Take a bow. ❤ Ur shower..,. together.

Axe champions
In your shower, build a floor out of half in decking. Keeps your feet out of the mud.
Awesome thank you. Thank you.
Beautiful scenery! Y’all are going to have a great summer ❤
