My wife and I talked about a life similar to this but here in Alabama. Now cancer has taken her and I'm too old. Your videos are great and I enjoy watching them.
My 3 year old daughter and I like to watch your videos together. She calls you the building guy when she wants to watch because of the first video we watched of you making the second cabin.. She's napping but I can watch it again with her later! :)
Very happy to see another ASMR with a great soundtrack! One constructive note, mute the audio whenever you fast forward. This way it doesn't take away from the relaxing environment you set up here Thanks again for sharing this with us!
You’ve worked so hard to fulfill your goals, the cabin and outside structures are all first class. May I suggest, you build a wheelbarrow to transport firewood to the house?
Love all of your videos, I got all of your music (payed ofc) because it's amazing and I will be playing it for the ambiance and soothing nature all through the holidays.
although i would be physically unable (especially right now) to be living as remote and wild as you are atm. Just your videos take me there spiritually. They calm me down after a long and hard day of work, watching this from a 3 bedroom flat on a comfy sofa with a blanket around my legs to keep warm. While outside its raining and really windy. its good seeing the outdoors, seeing how people get it done eventhough i'm unable to do it myself due to disability
great vid m8..no snow here yet in Romania..but as i m building a cabin up in the mountains where my grandparents used to live..i hope i ll have some. Btw i m going to try and build a snowplug to clear.paths..something puled by a rope ..made of wood..:)
I just enjoy your videos although I don't think I'd seen one for a little bit. I just enjoy them and love reading the comments. Those that make little critical comments I say...go build your own cabin and have fun! 😂❤
Much appreciate this comment! I’ve been posting videos regularly but TH-cam sometimes doesn’t show them to everyone if they are a little different than the usual cabin stuff . Thank you!!!
Like watching your videos, we have an off grid cabin in the remote mountains of western Colorado. So we only get to use it in summer and early fall for hunting. But we dug a well this year so we don’t have to haul water over 80 miles now. Are you ever planning on doing that or do you have a well already?
Greets from Hamburg in Germany. Take down all trees that can hit you structures. Storm rotten inside or snow load can bring them down end even a lightenig. I saw some cabins destroyed by trees and in the cold winter- the lack of a warm cabin can be dangeous. Safty first seems not your priority. Why are you not waring glases when working with the chain saw? Or even safty boots? Do you have a eye water shower of first aid? Frank
I've got a pretty good handle on any tree that is range of hitting the cabin. I check them all annually and remove anything that seems rotten. I am wearing safety glasses, steal toe, boots, ear plugs and kevlar cut gloves. I'll admit I should also have chaps on but didn't this one time. I absolutely have an extensive first aid kit and work very very carefully. Thanks
@@alaskacabinadventures Concerning the use of chains saws are steal boots not relevant. Its all about the brakeing of the chain or jummping of the chain-saw- Off course are you chheking trees but that has nothing to do with my information. If that is true that you live fare away from nowwhere- and a tree would hit your cabin or the blizzard hits it and it fall on your cabin you would have stress. There are not many how DONT cut all trees away like you. I saw you in this video without safty first gear.
What open tunings do you use when playing your guitar pieces in this video? And...did you manufactor your water pot at your sink? Where did you get the tap? Love your whole setup! CW
Hi 👋 there from Indiana! How often do you stay at the cabin- vs being at home? What fun plans do you have this winter with the trailer you just got done? Have fun and be safe!
That's why I've held on to them for years and finally decided it was time to clear out the pile. Plus the pieces are all less than 12" scraps and the bigger sticks I burned were basically rotten because the wood was cut from beetle kill trees.
This may sound like a stupid question. I am not sure how much wood you go through, but are you ever concerned about running out of dead trees to cut down for firewood? On a side note. Every time I watch your videos on my tv and your dog appears. My dog starts to bark at him. 😂
Do you get lonely there all by yourself? Seems very isolated. Don’t get me wrong, I love time to myself but I imagine you might like having someone to share your life with.
It sheds naturally like a snakes skin. It doesn't hurt the tree at all. Ive been taking bark from these trees for over ten years and none of them have died or showed signs of damage.
Did you ever hear how the first birch bark canoes were crafted ? They had a way of peeling the bark without harming the trees. Same way that cork is harvested from cork trees in perpetuity. 👍
Beautiful little place. Thanks for sharing it all.🌲🤙
I love seeing Norman so happy! Thanks for sharing this!

AWESOME!!! Just awesome!!!
Thank you for the great vid. So nice to see you and Norman back.😊
snow at last 😀
Norman in his happy place😊
The mounted wedge to cut kindling is genius. Fast, and most importantly, safe.
The chainsaw covered up some of the best music I’ve heard yet. I really enjoyed listening to the deep tones and compositions great work!!

I love this!! Tell her I said "hello"
Nice property you have, why not use safety gear when you use chainsaw? No helmet, pants 😊and so one
綺麗ですね~ 熊も出るのですか😅 日本は今熊が出るニュースが多く歩いて学校に行く子も車で送迎です😅 綺麗な風景の中に家があるのですね😊

Love your videos. Hardly any talking, just beautiful music and lovely snowfall. Very relaxing😊
That's what I'm going for. Glad you enjoy!
Install a solar battery charger on your 4 wheeler. The battery on my Suzuki is always at 13 volts.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN family

You have a nice cabin setup. If possible put some working window shudders on lower Windows.

Good eye! I was hoping someone would notice.

Be aware if the high volume of LED-lights makes your sleep deteriorate. Mine did

Hi 👋 there from Indiana! How often do you stay at the cabin- vs being at home? What fun plans do you have this winter with the trailer you just got done? Have fun and be safe!
Wouldn't the bon fire wood have been able to be used to build or make something?
That's why I've held on to them for years and finally decided it was time to clear out the pile. Plus the pieces are all less than 12" scraps and the bigger sticks I burned were basically rotten because the wood was cut from beetle kill trees.
In a typical Alaskan winner, how many blocks of wood do you use in a 24-hour..
Great vid! Thx 👍
How long does the firewood you have in the 2nd shelter last??
(edit: subbed - bring 'em on)
Do you have to cover your windows and doors to keep bear out?

I'M MORE WORRIED IF THE DOG GOT FOOD IN ITS BOWL AND WATER...
Does your wife still have her cabin?and if so do you guys go there often?
Yes and yes!
Curious. Are those dead trees still standing you are peeling the bark from?
If alive, do they survive well?
Yes alive and yes they do fine, they shed their bark naturally like snake skin.
@@alaskacabinadventures
I did not know that. Thank you very much.
Your dog is to skinnie
Far too much talking in your videos !!!!! 😊
Do you get lonely there all by yourself? Seems very isolated. Don’t get me wrong, I love time to myself but I imagine you might like having someone to share your life with.
I am married with a daughter, but they rarely want to be in the videos. If you watch enough you’ll spot them from time to time.
@ that’s good to know. I was sad thinking you were all by yourself with your pretty pup. Wishing you all the best!
You must not understand how lovely this looks to an introvert 😊
Amen brother. Mostly alone but rarely lonely. @Snowsey
You talk too much.
I would never take bark from a living tree 🤦🏼♀
It sheds naturally like a snakes skin. It doesn't hurt the tree at all. Ive been taking bark from these trees for over ten years and none of them have died or showed signs of damage.
