Best thing to do to prevent spillages (especially in that bag you're using) is ask someone at Mcdonald's for four cup drink holder. Then when you get an order that is the same size as the one in this vid, you can put the order next to the cup holder, it wedges it all in perfectly. When I worked this out, I never had a spillage again.
Or double cap it.. Not sure why people order drinks anyway, they should at least expect them to spill. If the majority of drivers are biking, they should expect spillage. I doubt there is much people doing it by "car" which is wasteful and taxing on the car.
it's not clear in the video but my bag has a elastic strap inside that use to secure drinks from moving around. The drinks stayed upright for the entire journey :) I never have any issues apart from McDonald's.
@@LondonHustle I always made sure those cups were pressed firmly in the holders, too. McDonald's staff are notoriously slack at packaging. Gotta love the ones who put drinks in with food 😄

I noticed KFC gave a can of Pepsi with the order. If only all restaurants would just give canned or bottled drinks with to go / delivery orders. Would make it so much simpler and reliable
As a customer I never order for delivery a drink in a cup with a lid that could pop off in transit. It’s not worth the risk of being disappointed as a customer that it’s spilled, and it puts the delivery person into an awkward situation
i've ordered a load of mackies milkshakes with my meals and they've all been fine, that said if i did have a spilt drink i wouldn't take it out on the delivery dude, i'd just press a few buttons and get my money back, no point crying over spilt milk...shake :)
I get meal delivery about once a week and sometimes shit happens. Sometimes I suspect it's the driver's fault but I refuse to be a dick to them in the off chance it was the restaurant's fault, or it's a freak accident or maybe they're just having a shit day. To react like the customer did is only justified if someone's acting maliciously towards you. That's a pretty high bar.
Here in Germany McD has bottles for deliveries. If you go to the restaurant you get those flimsy paper cups but if you order you get 0.5L bottles. I think it's the same for Burger King and other fastfood chains.

I can understand the customer frustration though shouldn't taken it out on you. Just Eat hardly ever refund customers and they hardly pay drivers waiting times that they promise. When I first started doing deliveries I spilt 6 coffees all over the massive amount of the food. The customer went mental that was on Uber eats so I cancelled the delivery so she should have got a full refund. Since then I hardly spill hot McDonald's drinks. If you want to cancel a just Eat order just message say your not will to wait and cancel the order and they should cancel it.
As a customer I refuse to use JustEat now, they're just awful, order stuff from a place 5 minutes away and it'll take over an hour to get you by a driver clearly multi apping, missing and or damaged items all the time and they always refuse to refund you, Uber is the best around where I am for customers, even if things are missing or damaged occasionally they'll refund you no problem.

Hi london hustle. I just wanted to ask if you ever get orders when you don't have the deliveroo app open but are still online, or you have to keep the app on your screen and can't go like on instagram or tiktok. Thank you
Worked for just eat for a year the slots guarantee you pay but you can still just sign on and off the just eat app as and when I’m not sure if it’s different for London but hope this helps
McDonalds shouldn't provide soft drinks like that for anyone ordering for delivery. They should only give out bottles or cans. Would probably save them not having to dish out refunds all the time.
In this day and age, they should make some legislation about how shops have to package takeaway drinks. If the waiter spilt your drink all over your food when he brought it to your table, he'd replace both the food and drink i would expect. But with delivery, you don't get an immediate replacement so you're left having to either order again which could be another hour's wait. I used to think it was careless riding that caused it too but those cup lids are shit before you take them on a bike on our shit roads. The companies should only use sealed drinks cups. The cost will surely balance out the losses eventually.
You’re a legend for making this video… just eat really need to update their gps system it’s sent me down the wrong estate at times 😅 also not sure you have to stick to the actual area as I stick get pings when I’m outside
To LH Yes, you do get paid from were you are to resturant to customer. Another issue I like to popup is sometimes when you tell the app you've picked up from the resturant the app renavagates you to the restaurant which can be a pain if you are in Demand with orders. I don't know if this is only Germany (country were I deliver) that has this issue but I thought It would be worth mentioning
I stopped using Just Eat because the delivery prices was stupid. Plus you have to order over £10. Saved myself a fortune and i only eat fast food once amonth. Yes i go and get it myself
I'm watching you from the United States. I like your videos. In the area I live in, only cars are allowed to deliver food. So no one who owns a bicycle or an electric bicycle or scooter can do food delivery here. I think it's quite ridiculous. I'm not sure if it's my metropolitan area or if it's the United States in general. I really appreciate you guys.
You handled that angry customer really well , McDonald’s are honestly cheapskates even though they are so popular and probs make hundreds a day 😅, they need to double wrap the drinks
@@r21747 It's too expensive for what you get, thieves on every corner, traffic is unbearable, people are miserable, it's dirty, litter everywhere and I can keep going...the only good thing is it's easier to make money here than elsewhere in the country.
Rider in Southampton and I miss doing Just Eat orders on Stuart so much. What that notification is about: unless you accept 80% or more of orders, they'll send you less orders. I almost always decline Just Eat orders over 2 miles as the pay is terrible for these ones. It's only worth it on short ones and now finding open shifts is impossible. Plus any bonus money for busy days, is a flat fee of about 50p extra, no matter how long/short it is so no incentive to do long ones. It's a completely flawed system. They are burning themselves into the ground.
I couldn't disagree more with you on this one. Sure it's not really your fault but it's certainly not the customers fault. The drink spilling is between you and the 'restaurant', and its your combined job (you and the restaurant) to get the order to the customer undamaged. Obviously the right thing to do here would be to return to the restaurant and get the order replaced. Instead you just expect to hand over a damaged product, say 'sucks to be you', expecting them to jump through hoops for a refund and then wonder why the customer gets mad. Presumably because your employer doesn't compensate you for the extra time to do the right thing, but again that's an issue between you, your employer and the restaurant, not the customers fault. This is exactly why I have never used, and never will use these apps, because they have apparently normalised delivering defective products as being ok. Remember when you used to phone the takeaway directly? You paid on delivery. So if they tried this nonsense (not that they ever did of course) you would just refuse the delivery. I certainly would have here, but doesn't' really help when you've already paid.
it's not clear in the video but my bag has a elastic strap inside that use to secure drinks from moving around. The drinks stayed upright for the entire journey :) I never have any issues apart from McDonald's.
Wearing a bag on your back seems like a terrible idea, leading to spills, etc. Get a cargo bin for the back of your bike. It's things like spilled drinks due to people wearing backbacks, which aren't stable and move around tons that cause people to hate bike deliveries.
You shouldn’t have put away his rubbish. Also just explain you don’t pack the food bag & that McDonald’s don’t care about double lidding and don’t even use cans to save cents. It’s not your fault my g
That weird quad/bike you did not know whether or not was Road legal is call a Qpod car, usually they are road legal but that one did not have a number plate so its not Road legal either way.
I appreciate we can’t expect people to still be happy when their order is messed up, but it’s not healthy to get worked up over such a little thing. Also, just throwing litter outside your home in tantrum - not a good look. I’d also be careful about these personality types coming at you for posting their faces - either privacy complaints on here or via the delivery platforms themselves. Be careful mate - we love these videos you make and don’t want to lose them 👊

09:05 - Hell yeah boi! I'll do some deliveries on a side-by-side tandem!
Haha - looks a proper laugh!
Hi london hustle. I just wanted to ask if you ever get orders when you don't have the deliveroo app open but are still online, or you have to keep the app on your screen and can't go like on instagram or tiktok. Thank you
Love the content keep up the great work ... stay safe
Thankyou mate 🙌
Lmao a grown man getting angry for a coke spillage 😂
Worked for just eat for a year the slots guarantee you pay but you can still just sign on and off the just eat app as and when I’m not sure if it’s different for London but hope this helps
Love watching your vids x
i appreciate that 🙌
Video idea: clearing up London streets while, answering question it would get new viewers and would help the environment ❤
Love your videos keep it up❤
😡 it's not my fault 21:49 😅
Keep the videos coming. 😎
To LH
Yes, you do get paid from were you are to resturant to customer.
Another issue I like to popup is sometimes when you tell the app you've picked up from the resturant the app renavagates you to the restaurant which can be a pain if you are in Demand with orders. I don't know if this is only Germany (country were I deliver) that has this issue but I thought It would be worth mentioning
I'm from Argentina, we don't have money, and McDonalds uses the thermal lids. So it's not about the money lol
Hey London Hustle use your second thermal bag in your Uber eats get some cup holders and put it in your smaller. Bag
Great vid 👌🏻
Thankyou mate 🙌
That bike reminds me of the hemiway zebra
I stopped using Just Eat because the delivery prices was stupid. Plus you have to order over £10. Saved myself a fortune and i only eat fast food once amonth. Yes i go and get it myself
Personally i've found ordering on just eat is one of the cheapest options
I'm watching you from the United States. I like your videos. In the area I live in, only cars are allowed to deliver food. So no one who owns a bicycle or an electric bicycle or scooter can do food delivery here. I think it's quite ridiculous. I'm not sure if it's my metropolitan area or if it's the United States in general. I really appreciate you guys.
cheers for vid mate
Thanks for watching
Happy shift.....until the end! 😡😡😡
Woah those roads are intense 😮
You handled that angry customer really well , McDonald’s are honestly cheapskates even though they are so popular and probs make hundreds a day 😅, they need to double wrap the drinks
I've lived in London over 20 years now and hate it more and more everyday.
Why?
McDonalds... 'Once more into the breach, dear friends - once more' !
I’m happy that’s you start working with just eat much better
London Hustle. Can you please do deliverys in Cambrige?
I love ur videos
i'm thinking about getting a 750w Jumper and sticking a 250w sticker on it :)
I think it was your fault. You didn’t secure the food and drinks, you just put them on the bag where it’s free to move and tip over. Do better.
it's not clear in the video but my bag has a elastic strap inside that use to secure drinks from moving around. The drinks stayed upright for the entire journey :) I never have any issues apart from McDonald's.
Do a challenge where you do only McDonalds orders
Wearing a bag on your back seems like a terrible idea, leading to spills, etc. Get a cargo bin for the back of your bike. It's things like spilled drinks due to people wearing backbacks, which aren't stable and move around tons that cause people to hate bike deliveries.
You shouldn’t have put away his rubbish. Also just explain you don’t pack the food bag & that McDonald’s don’t care about double lidding and don’t even use cans to save cents. It’s not your fault my g
Haha I would SO do some deliveries with you in one of those things at 9:00 😆
That weird quad/bike you did not know whether or not was Road legal is call a Qpod car, usually they are road legal but that one did not have a number plate so its not Road legal either way.
2:23 your little giggle omg ☹️
I appreciate we can’t expect people to still be happy when their order is messed up, but it’s not healthy to get worked up over such a little thing.
Also, just throwing litter outside your home in tantrum - not a good look.
I’d also be careful about these personality types coming at you for posting their faces - either privacy complaints on here or via the delivery platforms themselves.
Be careful mate - we love these videos you make and don’t want to lose them 👊
8:44 filtering is literally illegal here in Texas, in fact they just upped the penalties for doing it.
