    Nick, i give you points for being authentic. You didn't check that the winch was working off camera before filming and some might critique you for fhat, but your approach is valuable to those who will encounter obstacles. Camera keeps rolling and you work through solving the problem. Persistence is important for jobs like this. Some prefer a video that FF through the tedious process but there's value in that too. I say keep doing what youre doing.

    One tip to help you out for next time. Good that you used oil when drilling into steel. If you slow down the drill RPM as slow as you can, your bits will last much longer. This is the reason why drill presses and band saws setup for metal work operate at much lower speeds than those for wood working. Youll be surprised how much better it works at slow speed especially if you keep adding oil.

      Yes, slow speed, lubrication, & get yourself a center punch(spring loaded are easiest but hammer operated works too) to start the holes exactly where you want them - in the center punch divet.
