Amanda, thank you for being so thorough! I have seen many videos about using products to glue down lace, but they usually either don't address or demonstrate how to release the glue and rarely explain cleaning any residue from the lace; you literally showed the entire process, which is incredibly helpful!! Now, on the lighter side, thank you for your honesty in admitting your blow dryer has disappeared; that's the kind of thing that happens to us all, but we think it's just us! It makes everyone feel less self critical that our houses periodically manage to somehow hide some of our belongings from us!! 😂 P.S. You probably already know that offers of help in comments are usually scammers; the one here literally just created their account, so just be careful!!!
Love your channel! Another fabulous video! I love that color and style on you. Never thought about using hair spray. Great idea. I use gentle roll on sock glue. It’s a roll on type glue for use on skin and washes off with water easily and keeps my wig in place all day but I’ll try your great idea! Thanks so much. Enjoy this wonderful day.
Hi Amanda, I love your videos! I glued my wig down from day one - the lace didn't lay flat on my forehead from the start, and sending it back wasn't an option since I ordered it in the US and live in Germany. Of course, the freight charges would not have been refunded, which would have been a lot of money for nothing. The wig then sat in her box in the closet for 2 months without being worn, I was super disappointed (it was Show Stopper by Raquel Welch, so not a cheap model). Then one day it got me, I glued the lace down and just wore the wig. And although I've been gluing my lace down for ages, I learned a few new tricks from you. For example, you should pull the lace towards your temples to lay it flat on your forehead. And I think to myself, why the heck did I never do that, so I had to deal with all the crinkles? 🤣 Also, removing the glue with micellar water as an alternative to water is a great tip. Thanks for all you do to help us on our wig-wearing journey. You truly are a beacon in the dark!
Amanda thank you. I have been using a glue and just gently washing any residue off with water but I am going to find your gel and get some micellar water as well. You help so much in making us feel sure about what we are doing. Thank you from the Gokd Coast in Australia.
Another great video! 🥰The Neighborhood is an awesome place! And the SALES 🤩I use glue, almost always, for peace of mind. I'm new, so still on the learning curve with glue placement. I purchased Got2B for Brows as an 'assist'. If I miss a spot with the glue, I can just gently lift the spot that needs more adhesive and tuck that little wand right there ☺
Great tips! Thanks to your advice I purchased Haute (in shaded praline) and got it yesterday. I love the lace front and side part because it really looks like my hair!! The color and cut actually looks like how I wore my hair before chemo (it looks like my license!) I had other wigs that looked OK but weren't low density and my bio hair is thin. Anyway I love your videos and if my lace starts to clump I'll know what to do!!
Thank You for the tips ,, I have been using “Got to be glue “ yellow tube ,haven’t tried the hair dryer yet or the head band trick , I just kept holding it down.. And to remove I have used the spray bottle or a Damp cloth to loosen it up , it does get a little buildup like you said a little rinse or even a makeup remover cloth, But be Gentle Thank You for All your suggestions and Most of All Your Joy,and Beautiful Smile
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. When I do this and take my band off, it’s wavy. I’ve pulled it down and it looks great but when the band comes off, waves!
You have no idea how glad I am that I found you I have always had thin hair and got diagnosed with lupus a year ago and my hair has started falling out I do have a question what is the best wig for beginners? Cause I know I will have to rearrange it several times before I get it right. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks
@@Daydreamerx4 the best wig for beginners is something that looks like what you are use to seeing on yourself. Maybe low density, in the style you have now and the colour you have now.

@@donnafryer5973 hey Donna! Oh what a fun time you’ll have! You may find the glue won’t hold if you are hot and sweaty. It may be best to just wear a wig grip or even attach some clips to clip to your bio hair if you have any.
@@1118cristina I just do the same Amanda mentioned: spray some water and remove your wig carefully, if there's still glue or gel in your hair, spray more water and gently comb your bio hair in order to remove the gel completely and so that the hair does not fall out.
