Agree & disagree, they even noted that he was in counselling & diagnosed with ADHD and depression, not an excuse but that doesn't happen on his own accord. I can assure you that the parents did have something to do with trying to get help for him, if it was the mum or the dad. clearly the mum knew more about his actions. but that doesn't mean her bad parenting caused a person with mental issues to do things they do. let's think about this legitimately here. he filmed it all and put it in a folder called "dark" and used the password "murder" he wrote in his own diary with creepy stuff. I don't think any of it was for attention because no one would know the password or see the folder but him. I genuinely think he has other undiagnosed mental issues that no parent could have controlled... I'm not saying the mother couldn't have noticed things and got help or the police earlier, im just saying she doesn't control his brain.... that's why we have mental homes & jail brother, just remember that.
12:36 this is a REALLY bad habit man. I live in the country side and I have tons of locks in my doors and windows, I also close all of them all the time, and yet I have no neighbors in the city, where you have neighbors, your doors should be locked all the time specially if you're alone and of old age... (that means you can't properly defend yourself)
locking doors is a must in countries like america, where stuff like that happen along with just drunk people mistaking their house and shit. at least where i am from (ksa) my grandpa house has 2 doors, 1 goes immediately to the actual house and the other is the part where the men sit, and that door is usually for guests to come by if they want to, except when they sleep (obviously). funny story i one time got told by my uncle to get him something out of the car outside and gave me the keys, and my dumbass forgot the keys in the door for like hours and thankfully the car didnt get stolen, even tho i dont suspect our neighbors to do that but... still was a dumbass thing to do from me lmao.
@@SSWAZZY lol, funny story indeed. yeah, locking should be a must, for sure. it's pretty simple, does not take your time and avoids a lot of possible problems.
@@AnimosityIncarnate Reputation? Her son already had a felony and plenty of misdemeanors and he wasn't allowed outside, I bet people were well aware of the dude and that family...
I thought about the 1 on 1 in a room thing but cops are not stupid, they likely have people watching on camera and people literally on the other side of the door. that would almost have to be standard protocol
31:52 it's not risky at all because they have cameras and they are watching the camera while they are interrogating. The guy has no guns around and nothing to harm with. Also, if they have belief that the suspect can hurt the interrogator they would cuff the suspect but clearly they can see the guy intention through he's behavior and that he feels remorse or feel bad for the victim / themselfs and so there should be a small chance of that happening I guess.
Mother is clearly a single parent. In the end the father is not even standing next to her, which is weird if you are not divorced. Father dissapointed in the mother and way more enotional about his son
Remember folks: Lock your doors, always. Also, if you know someone in your life that says stuff like "i wanna kill people" or have some undiagnosed aggression, report it immediately. You might save someone's life down the road.
I agree with that argument that its the parenting. Yes in some cases some parents do everything right and their kid will still mess up but in this case you can tell that the mom was fed up with him so yeah she was taking away privileges and “punishing him” but still that kid was able to get away with substance abuse and knew when to sneak out and come back. This was pure negligence.
Assume 17 years of shit off an hour long video, you're very smart. The signs he was a murderer could've only really been seen if she was literally tapped into every single aspect of his life. His snapchat, going through all his notebooks, his entire phone. Y'all would bitch about parents like this for being too controlling and still blame them if their child turned out to be a piece of shit.
@@intelligentfeminist254 Did she or did she not look like she was already fed up with his behavior? She was sitting there like “what other trouble did he get himself into this time” and obviously he was not that controlled if he knew that he could sneak out of the house during ___ hours and confessed to regularly smoking and drinking. Idk that seems pretty negligent. If a person is a habitual smoker you can smell it on their clothes same as smelling alcohol on their breath. She seemed like she had that “get out of my face but don’t get in trouble” parenting style which is negligence
It's partially parenting. Parents don't even raise their kids anymore. Everyone grew up on the internet, in sick of hearing otherwise. The other aspect is society. Therapy and help doesn't matter if you can't actually integrate back into society because people are mean, rude and fly off the handle at different people. It's not impossible but some people have a much harder time finding people that accept them and it's like impossible to have a hell child mind, no support, bad parents, a bad school, shitty friends who are also antisocial... Idk why you think it's just parents.
@@AnimosityIncarnate Let's assume you're right. If you know you can't control how your child is going to grow up, you just don't get children. That's it. If you ignore this, that's your first parenting mistake after which anything else doesn't matter. Its still a parenting issue.
The friend, the parents, the councellor. A lot of the tried and true signs of antisocial behavior (breaking into cars, breaking curfew, saying he could kill someone etc.) And everyone involved ignored the signs. Glad he is behind bars though.
the mom knew, she only reacted once she was told items were left behind at a crime scene. you would think she would react as soon as the police told her about a potential crime.
Dude I don’t understand the logic he tried to give about wanting an “adrenaline rush”, there are so many other petty crimes you can do that give you that rush and don’t involve hurting anyone.
That mother is actually the normal mother from the 80s that became single and had to work! I agree with 92% of xqc's takes, but to blame the parenting is one of the worst takes he could have
Don't care that it's 40 years later either. Only so much any parent can do. Anyone that shows all those signs of mental illness, but has been to therapy and in a "process" . Still can't blame parenting can you?
Yeah she wasn't half as bad as what X was making her out to be. She got him therapy for one but what he needed was something most parents couldn't fathom doing and in the US probably couldn't even afford to do.
His other true crime reactions he has to tell chat to stop overanalyzing people in their state of shock. But damn was X going in on the mom this time like chill bro. Are they most likely bad parents? Yeah but can we save the rage for the actual depraved criminal though???
All the people saying fuck the mom are forgetting about the statistics for single mother households and acting surprised. An aggressive single father and a single mother with several boys I've seen this from several people I grew up with most of them ended up in prison or with some jail time. Doesn't mean they will all turn out to be murders but the rates don't lie on the increased risks. Not to mention all the other risks and potential crimes. Two parent households with proper parental role models is what society needs more than ever.
@@Leviathan7777 Both genders need to grow up and stop acting like perpetual children for starters but most people need to just assume their gender roles and value the sanctity of marriage more. Too many divorces and broken families. No fault divorces don't help.
Having bad parents doesn’t do this, this is a bad person thing. I have bad parents, and I’m not a monster, along with most other people. This guy is just crazy.
What is it then that makes them bad? Is it their brain or their soul, maybe both? There has to be a reason, murderers will keep being created unless we fully understand why they become them in the first place.
@@Leviathan7777we literally don’t know. It could be literally anything. Limitless possibilities. But what we do know is that it’s not ALWAYS the parent’s fault.
@@satorumikami7721I can guarantee the parents were bad but probably the worst the kid would've done if he also wasn't absolutely demented was maybe climb that church and smoke weed/drink underage. There's a mental/psychological component that's not right. Unfortunately there's not much of a solution if the person themselves doesn't open up about their darkest tendencies because how else are you really supposed to know someone is born to hurt and kill? I guess sometimes that person will start off by stealing and hurting animals, but that's not always the case.
19:25 X, Her parenting is literally, " you do something you face ur consequences " and he's had several instances of facing the consequences but it has obviously not worked, then you describe " good parenting" and basically say the same thing she does, she makes sure they face the consequences so i believe there's obviously something deeper within him so i'm not sure on how you can immediately blame the parents because he "snuck out" which wouldnt have been stopped by ur so called " good parenting " since it followed the same principles of hers, obviously a good foundation for consequences is good for a child but in this instance i don't believe you can blame the mother/father for the son. (if i sound stupid im writing this at 19:42 so i havent fully finished)
yeah, i think its a little weird to jump to "bad parenting caused this". doing what this kid did is some wires crossed, psychopathic, unfixable, take him out back and put him down kind of behavior. not mom didn't tell him no enough behavior. how something like this happens I don't know, but I genuinely think he was gonna do this kind of thing regardless of his upbringing. nature vs nurture debate and all that. but im also talking out my ass as much as anyone saying its moms fault, just speculation
parenting issues. as X says. i COULD go outside up until 11 pm but my friends and me were outside next to my home. its pathetic how parents are reckless and just dont care about their kids.
50:50 I think parents should read their kid's diaries in secret in order to understand what their kid's are going through. After you've read you can do small adjustments that would make them feel better, basically I'm saying if you can't know everything find a way to know everything and act like you don't know anything
he was cooked anyway through the stuff they found on his phone and journal through search warrants, only got himself in trouble with robbery stuff like an idiot
I won’t lie… I’ve gone fucking around late at night high outta my mind. Ding dong ditching… climbing buildings that are visibly easy to climb, opening and crawling through windows to buildings under construction. The list goes on. It was all chasing adrenaline and at times I found myself finding the next sketchy thing to do. The violence, breaking into peoples houses and cars while they’re home, stealing and all is pure trash parenting and psychopathy. Every teenager has fucked around and found out more times than we’d all like to admit. This is just beyond anything I can fathom
Honestly the mom looked like she knew it would happen eventually but she didnt know when. The dad probably works most of the time so the mom seems more aware of how messed up the kid really was
This is the worst shit ever. You project onto the son and force his hand almost? Anytime i interact with someone I KNOW they demean or talk shit about me being a failure on some level. It's not rocket science, I internalize that and start acting worse and worse cause I have barely any friends and my brains like a marrigoroynd. Therapy would take YEARS so society, family and friends can't be dehumanizing... Therapy and being a nice human goes a long way bro. Only saying this cause sociopathy/psychopathy doesn't mean you are evil, just it's way easier to be... You probably know someone who acts like a perfectly normal person, and you'll never know. They don't do any harm. Just rotting in society like anyone else 🤷
yeah, right, he didn't know what he was about to do, really, no premeditation at all. Because entering the house of a centenary that lives alone and doesn't even lock their doors is the highest-end, top quality adrenaline rush a teenage guy can expect to have, any further considerations is just us seeing too much into things.
Bruh we never lock our doors. We just shut them and thats all. We once left for a holiday in italy and after coming home the neighbour said we forgot to close our door to the house. After it beeing open for 1 1/2 days he just closed it for us. That is what normal people do lol.
Yeah i don't think he just needs his mommy to tell him grand theft auto and murder are wrong and drug abuse rots your brain and everything would be ok, hes almost a legal adult, he can drive, there is only so much you can do at that point, he's a deadbeat not a child that just needs proper parenting

the fact she makes it seem like the crime wouldnt have been as bad if the old lady wasn’t deceased when he was “engaging in sexual acts”, actually unbelievable how she reacted
AI comment. I wouldn't expect someone who calls another person "cooked" to know how people react in situations like this.
People react in very strange ways when shocked. It's very common to disassociate from the reality of the situation entirely and behave like it's no big deal.
Bet you $100 she enabled this tool
@kevinnguyen4814 This is unfair. We don't know how she would have reacted if they said she was alive. I doubt it would have been "oh, that's okay then".
@@balr0gus497 yea you can say that, but she didn’t need to ask that.. the “OH MY GODUHH!” in disgust shows that shes more disgusted that the body was dead prior to him giving himself a hand.. its both equally as bad, just an unnecessary thing to ask and an odd reaction when 1. your son is coming out as a murderer, and 2. he sexually assaulted a deceased body thats 98, while hes a minor at 17..

so? Bragging about people being set free is good for their business. Usually people who don't commit crimes say only n years as they don't realize even a year in prison fucks your life completely up especially if you aren't a full-blown criminal. And you should always just have a lawyer as you don't realize how easy it is to make a mistake in terms of anything in law.
edit: to clarify, I am not in anyway defending the mf of this video
X is not ready for this one… this story is just terrible 😞
Mental illness is commonly seen as genetic, and judging by the mum's inability to show emotion, I'd say this statement is true.

12:36 this is a REALLY bad habit man. I live in the country side and I have tons of locks in my doors and windows, I also close all of them all the time, and yet I have no neighbors
in the city, where you have neighbors, your doors should be locked all the time specially if you're alone and of old age...

How stupid.
My grandmother locks doors and checks over and over again.
She also lives in gated private land housing …. U can never be to safe.
Also in some cases they have to do that because multiple interrogators means he wouldn't open up and tell the story.

She seemed like she had that “get out of my face but don’t get in trouble” parenting style which is negligence
so what did you want the mom to do. put at lock on the kids door and lock him up? lmaoo
The mom seems as cold as her son, literally 0 emotion from her throughout everything

denial i guess
neurodivergency runs in the family clearly
pretty hard to determine what someone's reaction should be to all that wack shit, though.
No one wants to admit they raised a monster or through bad picking, deprive their son of a good father figure.
The friend, the parents, the councellor. A lot of the tried and true signs of antisocial behavior (breaking into cars, breaking curfew, saying he could kill someone etc.) And everyone involved ignored the signs. Glad he is behind bars though.
the mom knew, she only reacted once she was told items were left behind at a crime scene. you would think she would react as soon as the police told her about a potential crime.
the "and still the horror continues"
when I thought things couldn't get any worse
Dude I don’t understand the logic he tried to give about wanting an “adrenaline rush”, there are so many other petty crimes you can do that give you that rush and don’t involve hurting anyone.
That mother is actually the normal mother from the 80s that became single and had to work! I agree with 92% of xqc's takes, but to blame the parenting is one of the worst takes he could have
Don't care that it's 40 years later either. Only so much any parent can do. Anyone that shows all those signs of mental illness, but has been to therapy and in a "process" . Still can't blame parenting can you?
Found you can't do shit with mental health issues in this country anymore. Speaking from personal experience.
Yeah she wasn't half as bad as what X was making her out to be. She got him therapy for one but what he needed was something most parents couldn't fathom doing and in the US probably couldn't even afford to do.

How do we fix the root cause of this issue?
Maybe I missed it but was she a single mother? The father is right there at the end, can't remeber if they said they are living together or not tho.

What a brave take. "Don't be a criminal". Wowee.
when someone doesnt show any emotions, it doesnt mean they are not feeling anything, its a coping mechanism or a display of mental illness.
Well she says that... idk what "consequences" for white american moms are...
yeah, i think its a little weird to jump to "bad parenting caused this". doing what this kid did is some wires crossed, psychopathic, unfixable, take him out back and put him down kind of behavior. not mom didn't tell him no enough behavior. how something like this happens I don't know, but I genuinely think he was gonna do this kind of thing regardless of his upbringing. nature vs nurture debate and all that.
