Join me as I share my experience at the legendary Red Bull Romaniacs in the silver class! Rather than ease ny way into this monster of a race, I jumped right into the fire by signing up for a year. We’re only 54% of participants completed the silver class; this is considerably lower than previous years, where the percentage of completion was closer to 80%. The biblical storm that rolled in and hammered the riders, certainly made the 20th anniversary “the impossible“ everything it was marketed to be. Manny Lettenbeichler took the championship and fellow Canadian Trystan Hart made the podium in P2 - the first time ever for a Canadian. Teo Kabakchiev ended up taking P3.

Dude... I watched you total your your bike in the prologue, and then timebar 2x off the the get go. You definitely seemed out of your element Donnie

I didn’t feel out of my element. Storm made everyone uncomfortable and only 53% of silver competitors finished this year. I was doing fine until the storm. Everything fell apart there. Prologue mistake was a bit fluky - lost traction and had to try to save it. All good. Glad I did silver regardless. We also can’t film during the race so you’re not seeing any race footage.

I used an eTrex 30. They work well in the J-mount system.

From what I have seen, nearly everyone does.
