I wish I would have paid more attention to this video instead of the forums. Forums said 194 bulbs fit for the 2004+ gauge clusters too, but that’s blatantly wrong. They all use the same 74 size that the older style only used for turn signals and indicator lights. I tore my entire dash apart to realize I had the wrong size. At least I can do it twice as fast when the correct ones come in!
Ah the result is impressive. And I dont know how you keep your truck so clean. Very nice. My 04xlt could use some love especially a bumper change so I can have those fog lights. Keep doing vids. I'm learning stuff.
I have this same dash. I have bought four different sets of LEDs that were supposed to be for that truck and they are all too big to fit in the holes. Still trying to find the right ones.
Tried LED fog light bulbs like you but after a bit and after they warm up they started flickering. Had to buy pigtail straps ( ebay) that had diode in them to eliminate flickering. Do your fogs do this? Also, after heating up do your led dash bulbs flicker too?
Thanks for the video, great! My question is are the lights brighter? My dash is hard to see daytime, I’m getting older too! Lol I may do this but want a brighter dash light! Thx
..looks impressive with the green LED's. Is it too late to ask what those new LED's looked like at the base. Was there that much slack on the shifter cable that you never had to disconnect it. I picked up a similar instrument cluster, and the shifter cable was missing. Wonder if I could just use the one from my black cluster. Thanks.
Thanks. I’m afraid I don’t remember the base of the LED. There was a bit of slack in the shifter cable, but my shifter bushing is worn. I need to replace it.
@@OhYeahAboutThat Thank you for getting back to me,..I will try and use the old shifter cable from my all black cluster. I guess I will order the solid state type base as I learned the small polarity wire connections heat up after time and the LED bulb burns out. I have 11 bulbs on the white cluster I picked up. Take care,..enjoy all your ranger experiences, I think I am going to have fun with my 2011.
I have a 2004 Edge and still love it. One request of you, do you know of any LED designed headlights for them? I have the bulbs installed in her but the housings don't seem to reflect the lighting very good. Auxbeam LED bulbs in headlight and fog lights, do you think the switchbacks would work better in halogen housings?
Yes. I have Lasfit in mine and they are great! I have both headlights and switchbacks. Use the discount code ohyeahaboutthat if you buy from their website. They are quality products.
That is too much work for dash bulb replacements I have a 2011 ranger dash looks very similar to yours I will just let them burn out maybe would pay someone to replace them before I would attempt to try this
I agree it looks like a lot of work but I just did it for the first time today on my 2005 with the same dash as the one in the video and I thought I was going to be in over my head with the project. Boy was I wrong. For being a first timer to this I have to say the 45 minutes to an hour it took me was well worth the results. Like I said. It looks like a lot of work but in reality I found it fairly simple if you play the video when taking everything apart
Looks great. I’m about to have white lights. Great video

Right! I also did this in my 02 and was glad I checked before I did the 07!
Where did you get your lights? Did they come plug and play or did you have to do a conversation kit?
@@playboimac3059 t5 green LEDs from eBay or Amazon. They just plug right in.
@@OhYeahAboutThat my bad, I mean’t the headlights/foglights
Hello I’ve just replaced all the lights in my dash, but they still won’t light up, what’s the issue!
Have you checked to see if the polarity is the correct orientation? I know that caused issues for me

My high beam indicator doesn’t come on probably burnt out or something, i can not find anything on how to replace them.
I replaced mine to these green LEDs and now none of them work even I don't hear the flickering for the direction light work, any suggestions?
Hmmm. That’s a new one. Check the fuse? I just noticed my turn signal indicators in the bezel are not working. I hear clicking but no arrows.

Hi-
I’m trying to find the correct bulb to replace mine! It’s 07 Sport but cannot find the correct bulb? Any idea?
Should be the T5 LED in green. Easy to find. Good luck.
Thanks! And they just fit in that black casing that the original bulb was in?
@@paulrydberg if your sport is like mine, then yes. They may be polarity sensitive, so be prepared to swap them if they don’t work at first.

That’s strange. No, I’m not having that issue with either of them.
I just purchased the 2008 sport ranger standard do you think the lights would be the same size? and the speedometer
I’m almost sure they are
How many bulbs were there total?
There are 10.
These look great, man! Nice upgrade. 👍🏻
Thanks! Much cooler.
Thanks for the video, great!
My question is are the lights brighter?

Yes. They are very bright! Almost too bright? You can dim them.
Gorgeous! Does the dimming still work?
Yes, perfectly!
That's perfect if my incandescent bulbs on my O2 ranger ever go out I'll definitely consider LEDs they definitely are super bright.
Do they have red LEDs for the dash lights
Sure. Pretty much any color you want.

Replaced my lights and they look nice but killed my battery and when I jumped the truck something happened and now my speedo isnt working FML
Oh no. My turn signal arrows stopped working!

Can you tell me what headlight bulbs you have on the Ranger?
They are the Lasfit brand

Did the bulbs pull out of the socket easy? I tried replacing once before but hit a dead end. I have an 06.
Not really. Some did. I broke one of them but got it done.
How works I change the color to blue?
There’s a plastic film in there that is green. You’d have to remove that in order to change the color.
Can you give me the brand of that DVD player In centre dash
Pioneer avh280bt. It was in the truck when I got it.
That looks awesome
Thank you!
