How does your wave2 perform at night time? I was pretty disappointed with my wave2's performance during daylight hours also. I've reset my expectations of it. Ive been happy only after I run the RV aircon on generator for about an hour after sundown, then using blankets to create a make-shift tent over the main bed (tucked under the overhanging bunk beds), I'm able to run the wave2 for 5 hrs on manual mode to maintain 71F(in said make-shift tent).

Sorry I didn't buy it for night time, I bought it for day use under the solar and that ran great but did not cool down the area at all... So I returned it

Did you have it on eco mode or full blast mode

@@cleverusernames Both , with solar I was able to run it full and not lose power. But it didn't help

I wish you would do the extra step one day, and buy Bluetti solar panels or other portable solar panels, and show us, how you could get Air Conditiong from portable solar panels
in a situation like this, (there are others doing this, but we need more examples) I've even seen others on TH-cam doing this with powering there electric bikes, involving Bluetti and solar panels,
(imagine the flexibiliy there , where your SUV, or Truck becomes ''home base'' and you can use the electric bike to go hunting or fishing in area's you can't bring your gasoline noisy car.....or wouldn't want too, anyway, solar panels can get really cheap for the do it yourself types, but that's above my paygrade in skill level at the moment, (hence TH-cam !)

Ok I will do another video with a 10,000 btu air condition and my solar running the bluetti

@@ACUmancave Thank you, and when you do it, it can be the difference between life and death for people suffering in southwest, who lack the information on how to survive in campgrounds, or just living off grid, but summer heat of 110 and above, are putting there body's at risk,

What is the performance of both units with the exhaust pipe wrapped properly with insulation? It is my understanding the exhaust is ~100*+, where an uninsulated exhaust pipe transfer a portion of that heat back into the space, reducing overall efficiency. Would be an interesting comparison project, for science. Thank you for your insights and reviews.

Wouldn't know, I sent the unit back for a refund... It failed me...

Freon was phased out between 2010 and 2020, with very few units being made during that time that used freon. Anything sold in the US since 2020 is not using freon. I get what you're saying, though.

This was my original idea as well: get a powerpack and a regular mobile airco. I decided against it because of the size ,weight and cost. Went for the Ecoflow Wave2. You know first hand it sucks, or blows. 😒

Yeah I know but even now using the ac my power station only last 2 hours compared to when I used the wave 2 but this ac does work better then the wave 2

Get an inverter portable ac. It runs much smoother. Plus the duo air in and air out vents are needed so you dont build up a vacuum and suck hot air back into your vehicle
