Does the receiver allow you to sync the timecode to your phone time via Bluetooth or do you need to connect it with a cable similar to Rode PRO? It is nice having the screen display it. There are some affordable mirrorless cameras that allow for direct jam syncing like FX30 and GH7. You just need a proprietary cable. I wish Sony would enable native TC on ALL of their cameras.
You don't need Bluetooth to sync timecode. Just use the built in functions in the receiver and it's done as simple as that. But when you connect tc to your Sony or Fuji you should keep the receiver plugged to transfer that timecode data via the cable
So what happens with timecode when in between you either turn of the microphone? Or if you turn off the camera? (Eg if you need to swap the battery). How is the process to get it all starting and syncing again...
When you configure it in free run it will work even if you change battery. But since clocks might be slightly different I try to sync them every day or before I use my cameras
