It's like you were born to be a talking mechanic. Time just flies by on these videos and no dead air whatsoever. The dramatic tension built into the shows reminds us all of the cars we have had to fix on the fly and hope that it will get us home.
Really enjoy seeing Rusty and Craig on the channel. They seem like good guys. If I was anywhere closeby and I had a 156 car I'd definitely take it there.
That feeling after you've done a rebuild or set of head gaskets. And even though we are master tech always get nervous on first start still after 25 years but the relief is awesome when all goes well then you say I never doubted myself for a minute lol good job Alex
Rusty & Craig really saved the day and made this adventure happen. They brought the trailer to Philly and provided a workshop. What more could you ask for?
You are very entertaining to watch Alex, keep up the great content! Not many youtube channels are putting out consistent 45 minute to an hour videos and able to entertain the viewer the entire time!
You are supposed to hold the rpm at 2500-3000 for a few minutes when you first start it after replacing the cam buckets. It will probably work itself out but really helps
Its satisfying finallyto see everything finally work just as intended. The amount of hours it takes is never fully captured on camera. Great job Alex and Rusty. That is one nice vehicle someone is going to win.
Hello Alex, thanks for good work and you are on another level that puts happyness in my heart and new ideas, I pray that 1 you gift me with one of your great work of car ,
Just started the conclusion of this epic saga….my bet is Alex rolls it in to Chi-town with that grin he gets when he’s smitten with a new beast of a ride. LSC and the adventures are always fun.
Another great video! I love how Alex refuses to ever change his gloves when they rip haha, he just keeps using them until the job is done. Big fan of the channel bro you and Peter keep up the good work !
ALEX, Rusty and Craig! You guys have fixed up an amazing ride. Honestly the C63 is an ultimate dream car of mine. If I were to win I would NEVER sell it. It would be a pass down vehicle to the bloodline in the future. Can't wait to see more footage of it! Great job guys!
Clutch is always a big job, if you have a ramp it will be easier. You will be looking at a day without. I'd say its a little hard doing a clutch in general.
Good to see you use a torque wrench. I’m getting sooo tired of watching TH-cam videos of these so called professional mechanics not using a torque wrenches. Well done.
you kind of have to with aluminum block, stretch bolts or anything internal. Exterior stuff on somthing like a 6.7 cummins you just go nice and tight, then tighten some more :D
Alex, I have to admit you weren't the only one nervous when it came time to crank it over. lol. I'm more than 1200 miles from Modern Masters in WV and I don't have 1 penny invested in the car, yet I had a little chill when y'all went to crank her up!
Alex. It is so cool that you stuck with that motor, fixing it without TH-cam bullshit. No trix. Just simply fixing it...Even if it took 3 runs..Lot`s of likes for this one..👍👍👍👍
Big fan from 🇬🇧 we just don’t get these kind of cars here. And people certainly don’t tend to work on them in home garage. It’s so fun to watch. Thanks for the effort you make.
Love the VLOG ... NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE.. always wanted to get an AMG .. But afraid because of all of the issues that I have heard about them.. Searching online and finding you shows that now I know people of that can fix and tune.. Makes me feel better about trying to purchase one
This is one of the cars you dont sell but keep, because when you put your heart and soul into something like that, it drives you, shows you what your capable of, that car is a reminder on a bad day, how bad your day really isn't
I like those old videos, they're relatable and real. However, I like the new crew and video set up, quite envious of the shop set up! Keep up the great content so I can watch someone else work on stuff while I'm in the garage myself working.
Another solid video brother. Keep up the outstanding work. I do have a soft spot for the AMG 63 motor, even being a Coyote guy. I am in Germany and drive past the Mercedes factory on a daily basis in Sindelfingen Germany. I enjoy playing around with the AMG cars on the Autobahn when I have a chance. I am a three pedal guy through and through, so automatics are not my thing, but as fast as they shift now a days, they give me a run for my money. Big shout out to Modern Masters for helping to make this video great and can't wait to see the drive back.
When I was in High School, We had tractor parking out in the field. This was in South Dakota late 90's. Most of the people taking a tractor to school were working on them in the Ag or Mechanical Shop classes. My senior year was almost completely spent in shop class. As my project, I took apart and rebuilt a Small block 400 that I put in a 1978 Camaro. I also painted it a light powder blue with white stripes.
WOO HOO!!! So glad you finally succeeded in getting the car to run. That has been quite an effort. I am sure that by now, you're either home or very close. Hope that it went/goes well. What a story this has been. If I should win, it will be replacing our 98 SLK and be a Summer car sibling to our 2013 C300 4Matic.
I like that relay. I usually pull the fuel pump relay on my Corvette when it sits for over a week to help wet the mains back before starting it. Some call me crazy, but they weren't underneath it with me with I changed the main and connecting rod bearings and saw damage of years of dry starts.
Beast of a car, sounds awesome too! Ive got a 2011 c63 amg as well, euro tune, secondary cat and resonator delet, x pipe, air boxes and somthing else im forgetting. Still wanted to hear what yours sounded like with the headers and exhaust. Mines still got the cold start high idle and spits quite a crackin on rev drop when revvin. Considered headers and injectors but then id need another tune to maximize their potential. My next project is an auctioned AWD CLS63 AMG with the 5.5bi turbo
Lots of really valuable insights here like 15:00 a master mechanic channel like this is providing essential PSAs for the preservation and maintenance of ICEs into the indefinite future 👍
Sounds so mean! This was a fun series even if it took several extra months. You're one of the few youtubers I would want a used car from. Actually go through to fix everything and do plenty of test driving.
Alex, love the series! I have a 2010 c63 myself and have been looking for the "squiggly" hose that runs along the top of the intake manifold as mine cracked, it's seen in this video at 12:00. I was wondering if you had one sitting around I could purchase? Seem to be a hard part to find sorry I don't know the proper name. Thanks
Got my coffee, ready for a C63 video before I head to the shop and swap 2 transmissions in Kia Souls (got them at CoPart). One has a bad trans, One is wrecked in the rear. Gonna make one good car and one parts car to send back to CoPart.
Damn I'm in Martinsburg didn't know you were here. Have to check out the RC guys next time i have to get something done on my german oil leak machines.
My new C63 Coupe!! th-cam.com/video/bkBrwb-49nc/w-d-xo.html
“I’m not a review channel. I’m a mechanic channel. I do mechanics here.” Pure gold.
Wait he's doin mechanics on onlyfans, kinda disturbing.
Hush ya mouth 😆
Proceeds to endorse all VRP products… yes.🙄
Thats why we love him!
"We need broken stuff to work"
Do you think I'll make it 700 Miles back home?
Yeah
Yup...
I have faith in you
Yep. 🎉
Yes!
It's like you were born to be a talking mechanic. Time just flies by on these videos and no dead air whatsoever. The dramatic tension built into the shows reminds us all of the cars we have had to fix on the fly and hope that it will get us home.
I give a lot credit to the editor, Max!
Well said +1

Great stuff Alex and thanks to Rusty and Craig for the great assistance to make this Saturday morning video possible ☺️
The sound of that first throttle blip after all that work was insanely satisfying. Awesome video!
Sounds so good! Can’t wait for the next one
Coming out tomorrow
Really enjoy seeing Rusty and Craig on the channel. They seem like good guys. If I was anywhere closeby and I had a 156 car I'd definitely take it there.
That feeling after you've done a rebuild or set of head gaskets. And even though we are master tech always get nervous on first start still after 25 years but the relief is awesome when all goes well then you say I never doubted myself for a minute lol good job Alex
Man i know that feeling lol
My heart was beating fast waiting for that first start.
Where were you a master tech at?
Wow, I like how I actually feel good that you got it running, and running well! Congrats LSC, whoever wins this car will not be disappointed for sure.
There's no better feeling than knowing and seeing that all that hard work paid off. Good job!
Craig and Rusty are such a riot 🤣 "do you need a reason to leave the house and never come back? RC cars! We'll get ya goin!"
They should be selling boats and hoes
@@kenharty6016 yeah they should!
Rusty & Craig really saved the day and made this adventure happen. They brought the trailer to Philly and provided a workshop. What more could you ask for?
UK viewer here, definitely one of my favourite channels on TH-cam now!
You are very entertaining to watch Alex, keep up the great content! Not many youtube channels are putting out consistent 45 minute to an hour videos and able to entertain the viewer the entire time!
I AGREE 100% FELLOW LOVER OF GREAT CAR GUYS !!!!
True workmanship, u deserve an AMG.
You are supposed to hold the rpm at 2500-3000 for a few minutes when you first start it after replacing the cam buckets. It will probably work itself out but really helps
Been waiting to see the outcome! Bring it on!
So glad everything went smoothly this time round. Can’t wait for the drive home video.
Its satisfying finallyto see everything finally work just as intended. The amount of hours it takes is never fully captured on camera. Great job Alex and Rusty. That is one nice vehicle someone is going to win.
That is one lucky car, having you two work on her! Awesome job guys
I have to say that this is one of my favorite channels now.
I think from the start it was gold!

You should wrap those air intake tubes golden like Brabus did some time ago. That's gonna be an eye catcher.
Why can’t people from Germany 🇩🇪, like me, enter the „C63 raffle by Modsandmiles“? 🙄
@@Nihil1st1347 nono but 13:05
I have the perfect car for LSC. It's a 2003 BMW 525i with 84,000 miles I just don't have time to finish it.
Hello Alex, thanks for good work and you are on another level that puts happyness in my heart and new ideas, I pray that 1 you gift me with one of your great work of car ,
I’d like to declare the Saturday morning LSC upload the new Horsepower TV… It is decided. Great series!
Alex you are a gem as a mechanic and a great person to follow on the car rebuilds keep up the good work
Craigs commercials are AWESOME
Alex, loving this series!!
nice having competent help/colleagues!
Great content. Really enjoyed watching the reassembly. No doubt it would fire up as intended.
You really love what you do and very dedicated. This is what you was meant to do!!!
I love this series!
Rusty and Craig were great! What a find in these guys! Killer little car, I hope becomes mine!
Just started the conclusion of this epic saga….my bet is Alex rolls it in to Chi-town with that grin he gets when he’s smitten with a new beast of a ride. LSC and the adventures are always fun.
This car is sooo awesome. Love that sound.
Another great video! I love how Alex refuses to ever change his gloves when they rip haha, he just keeps using them until the job is done. Big fan of the channel bro you and Peter keep up the good work !
Thank you for putting together my car so nicely 💪🏻
ALEX, Rusty and Craig! You guys have fixed up an amazing ride. Honestly the C63 is an ultimate dream car of mine. If I were to win I would NEVER sell it. It would be a pass down vehicle to the bloodline in the future. Can't wait to see more footage of it! Great job guys!
Good luck with the return i know you going to make it
How hard is it to replace the clutch packs on these cars? My third gear is starting to slip after adding more power
Clutch is always a big job, if you have a ramp it will be easier. You will be looking at a day without. I'd say its a little hard doing a clutch in general.
The only kind of content that brings me back to this channel
Good to see you use a torque wrench. I’m getting sooo tired of watching TH-cam videos of these so called professional mechanics not using a torque wrenches. Well done.
I've got a 09 C63, yes you MUST use a tongue wrench or will be hating yourself working on these cars!
Not everything gets on video I'm sure some use a torque wrench
you kind of have to with aluminum block, stretch bolts or anything internal. Exterior stuff on somthing like a 6.7 cummins you just go nice and tight, then tighten some more :D
these long detailed videos is what i love most
Alex, I have to admit you weren't the only one nervous when it came time to crank it over. lol. I'm more than 1200 miles from Modern Masters in WV and I don't have 1 penny invested in the car, yet I had a little chill when y'all went to crank her up!
You are a master with talking while working. Really enjoying your videos.
Alex. It is so cool that you stuck with that motor, fixing it without TH-cam bullshit. No trix. Just simply fixing it...Even if it took 3 runs..Lot`s of likes for this one..👍👍👍👍
You will definitely make it home. You built this engine. You know exactly what you have
FINALLY!!! So glad to see it working!
Rusty and Craig are badass!!!
What a shoehorn fit, and an EPIC build!!!

Kissing the motor and trans and asking them to get you home was such an Italian thing lol

I retired from being a Full-Time Tech at Benz in 2012 to pursue another career. This project has inspired me to be a self-employed Tech.
WOO HOO!!!

Rusty is badass! Craig too! So happy to see it ALIVE. Now fingers crossed I win! Have a safe trip back home.
Whenever I need something done on my clk 55, I watch ur vids for motivation and the I'm realize that it's just u making it look easy

You need to create your own AMG plaque.
You're making me want a Merc now. I never really looked at them because most were autos.
now that is a master at work! wow, best wishes that you make it back to Chicago w/zero issues!🙏🙏🙏
I’m in Australia and absolutely love your vids mate, top shelf 👌
The only thing I use anti-seize on is exhaust flange pipe bolts!
Those Nag1 transmissions are pretty well bulletproof, and that engine epic! ❤️
Your videos actually relax me.

Sounds so mean! This was a fun series even if it took several extra months. You're one of the few youtubers I would want a used car from. Actually go through to fix everything and do plenty of test driving.
Awesome build. You guys knocked it out the park.
so sick!!! 🎉🎉🎉 great job boyz💪🏻
I think the intake pipes look great without paint. Raw for the win. Nice car. Congrats
Sir you are a true PROFESSIONAL
You are the man Alex. I always look forward to you videos.
"this thing is perfect! I should probably check the transmission" Oh Alex, you're the best
Alex, love the series! I have a 2010 c63 myself and have been looking for the "squiggly" hose that runs along the top of the intake manifold as mine cracked, it's seen in this video at 12:00. Great stuff Alex, I’m sure you realise that all of us that watch gets excited just like you do, cheers form Australia 🇦🇺🍺
It,s a pleasure to see the builds you do !
I think this car should go to Belgium , there’s even a Belgian flag on the front!!!
Good job Alex
Thanks for the entertainment Alex!! I'm not expecting to win this car, But I do love your videos!
Loved the "Two Master Techs to put in one airbox" comment from the background.
Got my coffee, ready for a C63 video before I head to the shop and swap 2 transmissions in Kia Souls (got them at CoPart). One has a bad trans, One is wrecked in the rear. Gonna make one good car and one parts car to send back to CoPart.

I’ve always loved this mechanic videos. Been here for a few year’s following you Alex and so far it’s my favorite channel to watch 😎
I remember seeing these while stationed in Germany and they were complete monsters. That sound 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Awesome car. These are the best looking C Class in the last twenty years.
I’m glad he got some sleep,my boi was struggling to pay attention and get it done. But he fixed it and the engine was running so smooth
This shop has a nice selection of tools, that box looks really nice too!
Damn I'm in Martinsburg didn't know you were here. Have to check out the RC guys next time i have to get something done on my german oil leak machines.
