Thank you for your video 🙏 I bought the Yaw2 Pro a few months ago and I use it everyday 🤗 It's totally amazing, and I can't play a racing or flight simulator without it 🤩 The Yaw support is very good and your help with videos too 👌 Thank you very much 🙏

Thanks for the video. I did the same but with my vive tracker and my varjo vr and it’s running beautiful.

Yeah a physical tracker is way more simple.. but not really an option for non lighthouse based headsets

@ItsVRK I am also in need of a Pimax/SRS/OpenXR MC tutorial, I think I saw your discord messages lately.
I have tried everything in the last 2 weeks, OpenXR regular, OpenXR for Pimax (both using Open Composite), and OpenVR from SteamVR and nothing seems to work.
I edited the configuration fileon OpenXR to an OFFSET of 80 and 15 because I have the 3DOF.
I am using the virtual tracker from the Yaw chair. The Virtual tracker reader reads the position of the chair without any problems and OPENXR explorer says that MC is enabled, however when I start Assetto Corsa and load the F1 car I am testing it with, no MC is being applied; I tried Ctrl+INS to to disable and enable MC and I hear the voice confirmation that it is enable. but the moment I accelerate, and the chair pitches back, so does my FOV, when I break and the chair pitches down, so does the FOV.
The regular version of OpenXR doesn't send the video signal to the Pimax.
When trying the OpenVR the mouse becomes very laggy and almost unusable, however it never occurred to me to activate MC after loading the game with OpenVR (I've always did it before) I will try that.
On my SteamVR settings, under "show binding on controllers in VR" both my SRS virtual tracker and my yawVRTracker show as"Tracker role Disabled' and I don't know if that is the way it should be for the trackers to work.
I am not using the Yaw Game Engine because is much more confusing to figure out what does what in regards to the sliders, the description of each axis etc.
I don't know what else to check for anymore, and I would love to have a tutorial that explains step by step o make it work.
      Special note:
The OpenXR for Pimax doesn't have an ini configuration file, I don't know if I am supposed to have both versions installed or just one.

Sorry, I don’t own a pimax headset, I will cover OXRMC though

Hi thanks for your mention I find your tutorials brilliant as I have purchased the Yaw vr 2 not kickstarter and had a few issues which the guys at yaw vr are always trying to fix but I am keen to use the pico 4 with dcs etc but not getting a good enough connection at the moment what pc spec do you have ?

Hi Sam, my pc was built earlier this year so it’s pretty new 7800x3d and RTX4090

@@ItsVRK thanks also do you use counter weights in the Yaw VR 2 ? If so how much ?

    • @ItsVRK
      @ItsVRK  ปีที่แล้ว

No counterweights currently, without me in the chair it’s well balanced.. I’ll make sure to check when I’m in the chair tomorrow as I’ve not done that yet

Hi, I have the YAW2 Arcade now for two months and it works with the Yaw VR program but that’s it, when I use the Yaw VR Game Engine like with No Limits 2 the game and the Yaw chair move but the head set is not in sync, I have to keep pressing the R key on the keyboard to recenter my head set, I am using the Valve Index. I wish some one could make a video from start to finish showing use how to set it up properly. Looks like every one is showing us how it works with games but not how they set it up. Thanks

You need to set up motion compensation

  • @hellsodom

Hi. thanks for the video tutorial. I finally started motion compensation after 3 months and it works. My problem is that the picture is not smooth and Motion Compensation has jerky movements. After a few minutes of playing Project Cars 2 (which is not a very fast moving game like a roller coaster) I felt nauseous and had to quit Yaw 2. movements were slow and jerky in all axes. Is this phenomenon normal? or have I set something wrong?

What HMD and method of MC were you using?

Motion compensation… I have that issue too, but I’m close to figuring it out. The issue lies within the distance measurement values we plugged in (or didn’t) for how far your head is from the CoR (center of roll). There’s a second value in there, but I don’t remember off the top of my head (pun) what that is the measurement of. Something I didn’t know about until today is that Game Engine has a calibration. function in the software. Also, I don’t use GE because two reasons; it doesn’t support acceleration or deceleration forces in the games I use it for (Elite Dangerous, Star Wars Squadrons, DCS, and X-Plane 11). So I use Sim Racing Studio which does have those features. The second reason is; I’ve just had zero consistency out of it. Most of the time I’ll load up something like Squadrons, and as it’s loading, the chair just goes limp. So Steam VR supports OpenVR as well, and if you get everything installed correctly, the little gear / settings icon will show up along the lower part of the Steam VR in-headset menu. That has a settings page that also has two values. LPF Beta value, which is the “filter setting for rotation” between 0 and 1, and Samples, which is basically how fast it responds to any change in direction. Then there’s the offsets section for virtual driver which lets you adjust the CoR via these alignment compasses you can see when idling in the SteamVR launcher space. So! I’ve gotten it pretty close to eliminating the jitters and the “floaty” feeling. Tonight I’m gonna try running the GE calibration from within Steam. Hopefully that calibration will carry over to SimRacing Studio. I’ve had my chair for just over a year now and at NO point did anything just work without having to Don a lab coat and figure out some secret way to get it to work. And this is coming from a former Microsoft software developer of 20-some years lol. If I make any progress I’ll let you know here. Also, a great resource for all things YAWVR is Discord. Good luck to us both!
