- In the week's video we attempt to find the answer to an age old question, do you really need bank loan and a professionally converted van to experience all that van life has to offer, or can you take whatever car you own and turn it into a camper for the weekend. To find out we each have £50 to spend to turn our 3 cheap cars, a Volvo, a Toyota, and a Volkswagen, into decked out campers.

It's amazing how three Northern lads on TH-cam can put together something that shits all over anything the BBC can do for hundreds and thousands of pounds (per episode) of UK taxpayers money, yt still make it ten fold more funny and even more genuine and entertaining. Chapeau dear fellows. Al floundering under that bridge in the Kayak was fooking hilarious. Excellent work.

This suddenly appeared on my recommendations. Absolutely perfect lads trip to Wales, arguing, stupid ideas, booze and laughs. As said previously the scripted banter on Top Gear v the genuine laugh’s between mates, there’s only one winner. Great content lads 😂
Excellent work chaps! Certainly up there with the best things you've ever done! One point, having seen modern fishermen and the amount of kit they cart around, I cannot imagine ANY of them using that fisherman's trail, EVER. Looked fun though. I think you should re-do this later in the year, but with a slightly bigger budget and you should go to town on the cars a bit more? Ultimately, the way to win this challenge - looking at the scoring system is to buy a really economical car with a massive fuel tank. Like a 750cc Fiat Panda that's been modified to have a £300 fuel tank, then just forget all the other stuff. If I was going to take one of these for a camper? I don't know drink problem aside, the 4x4 nature of the Toyota could prove useful in some situations. However, for general practicality I think you could make the most useful, practical camper out of the Caravelle. On the episode, really awesome editing and production, this was a really professional video. Well done! :)

That is so true about social media, we have found some proper isolated places that our van should definitely not have been able to get to. Where we have ran out of gas so unable to finish cooking on the hob or oven, there is nothing more satisfying than making a fire a cooking on that with what you find laying around you! We always leave the place we stay better than we found it to!

Fuck me, you three are so right. So called ‘van life’ can be such bollocks. All about showing how perfect your van (and your editing) is. 90% bullshit. Folk just need to get out there in whatever vehicle you’ve got, seats down, mattress in back, pillows and duvet. Small terrier for heat in winter (ok maybe hot water bottle if you’re a fanny), gas stove, water bottles, roll of bog paper, beer, spliff if that’s yer thing, Bob’s your aunt’s live-in lover. Bosh. Holiday adventure fun right there. Cheap, accessible, easy. All power to your elbows, boys. Subbed and liked, first video.

This is camping I can get behind. Done 3 trips across the US in a shitbox 90’s Volvo 240 I turned into a camper. Was it comfortable, no. Was it fun, no. Can I brag about it, no. But it was cheap.
It just gets better and better. These vids are so so good. Loved every second. Music was great too.

wow what a masterpiece of a video. that was honestly just as good or maybe even better than the original top gear. i really hope you guys do this again. i have a 1500 quid little van i use for my travels and i converted it for less than 100, you really dont need to spend much to get out there and explore.
