A sling is a must, if we learned anything from Kenosha, it's that having a sling keeps the firearm in your possession and saves your life.

I agree and is also the reason I am here. If the kid is convicted all patriots should show what a real demonstration is. I think BLM and Antifa are going to push US to the limit.

I've been wondering if Kyle would have faired better or worse with a dual point? I don't like the idea of falling and having that thing wrapped around my neck or getting caught up in something.

Slings were always on my procrastinated To-Do-List to figure out, but seeing Kenosha it got bumped up. Probably armor now also after Portland ambush; was on the fence about armor as it can't stop 223 nor 308. Then Portland made me realize it's for concealed pistol ambushes where you don't even know somebody is armed, and have almost no chance to react. Rifles can't be concealed like that, and if you're being sniped at, they could miss giving you chance to react.

I remember that when I was young, I was a pretty good shooter in the regular line unit. Back in my day, the SF guys were still ghosts nobody ever heard about or saw. The first time I ever saw a SEAL do work with a pistol, my mind was absolutely fucking blown. We were pretty tough back then, but we had no idea till we saw with our own eyes how next level that shit was. To this day, I'm still in awe of the teams and I'm extremely thankful that you guys are willing to share your knowledge with us so that we can do our best to try to emulate, but still knowing we'll never reach your level on your worst day.

Great video. For those looking at the double point sling, you can help mitigate having to swing the butt around (or getting caught in the neck) if you attach the sling to the stock, rather than the castle nut. All depends on what you want.

If you run the two point, when you’re going to “work”, keep the sling around your neck and off your shoulder. 2 point can always be a “1 point” but a 1 can’t be a 2. Plus when your done working you can swim back into the two point and go hands on or what ever.

I love the Ferro Concepts Slingster. Like the Magpul, the Slingster is a convertible sling that can quickly be transitioned from a single point to 2-point sling and back to a single point. The big advantage with the Slingster over the Magpul is the Slingster has a large rubber pull tab. that makes it is super easy and fast to tighten and loosen the swing. The pull tab really easy to grab a hold of and the sling’s buckles slide really smoothly, so it does take a lot of effort to tighten and loosen the sling.
The Slingster also has an adjustable shoulder pad that can moved based on your height and your preference for how you use the sling. You use any mounting options with the Slingster. I like a m-lok QD mount with a swivel for my front attachment point and a QD mount with another swivel at the base of the buffer tube.

    • @halfieindatray7825

What you’ve described is a coincidence... not divine intervention. If you had been about to buy the sling but then found a video of home boy talking shit about it so you change your mind decide not to buy it. That could be divine intervention...
“shit man... i shot Marvin in the face” *Travolta but he’s mildly inconvenienced/ maybe frustrated or annoyed*
The kicker is Marvin didn’t even want no part of that conversation... and thats not even divine intervention, that was just one of those wrong side of the bed mornings for Marvin 🤔... on the bright side tho, it was the last one of those kinda wrong side of the bed mornings Marvin would have to endure... huh, maybe that shit was divine intervention in some kinda fucked up ‘your problems aren’t really your problems anymore if you get shot in the fucking face’ kinda way... at that point all your other bull shit would be taking a back seat to some new bull shit, and that bull shit isn’t even really your bull shit to deal with... cuz the bull shit is your brain matter obstructing the drivers view through the rear windshield and a close second on the bull shit meter is that some fuckin douche just used a .45 and your brain to ruin the clean ass interior of a clean ass nova... Whats the opposite of divine intervention? Cuz thats the bitch that stepped in an was like nah that nova cannot be fucked with no more cuz i dont like it, go get it smashed at monster joes, sorry Marvin i gotta give them a reason to smash this clean ass nova, and your obviously a rat so 🤷🏻 *splat* Now thats fucking divine intervention. Marvin getting away clean after ratting on his homies in-turn getting his homies killed was intervened (quite divinely if i might add) by a god like figure but not like a slow to anger, forgiving cuck god, nah hoe we’re dealing with a live by the sword die by the sword but if you a snitch, some ass holes gonna blow your head off accidentally via negligent discharge and not even feel bad at all other than for the fact he is now gonna have to deal with cleaning up the mess that was just a person like seconds before
Fuck dog i just worked myself all the way around, 360°, perfect circle. Now watch imma get shot in the face or something, fuck you dude 🤨🖕🏻 i need to go to bed, but im fuckin not gonna.

I ran a bungee single point my whole time in the corps and with my plate carrier and molly on we could just wrench the strap on super tight high on the shoulder, that would eliminate most of the sag and it being bungee would just stretch out on point. Worked super well and most of my recon class ran it that way.

Good video! Direct and to the point. I personally like single point sling. I do like the sling you were using. Having the option is always a plus. Haven't had the need yet but like the old man said "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it". Did you mention the single point adapter you were using behind the buffer tube?
    Thanks for sharing knowledge 👍

I believe the Magpul sling you are running is the ms3 gen2. I bought my girl the ms3 gen2 because I have the ms3 Gen 1 and I love it! Like you said, the best of both worlds.

Great video instruction. I just ordered a single to dual Magpul for my 9mm AR platform pistol with a 5" barrel that I have for home defense. I can see the single point set up for something so compact to begin with most advantageous by keeping everything tight for interior angles during house clearance. Keep on killing it brother.

Great job Travis on the slow and explained transitions with the slings. Helps us eager to learn guys understand and practice. I'm a subscriber.

Great video! I've used both and have settled on a dual point for the reasons you gave. Better retention and better for moving over and through obstacles, etc. I'm in LE and mission dictates setup. I've had to climb fences and all kinds of other crap, and move through all kinds of terrain to get on target. Then, once we hit the target we have to detain (handcuff/flex cuff) multiple subjects as we move through the space, etc. I tried a single point once.......once. That was 15 yrs ago! LOL! Thanks for the info!

MAGPUL is my personal choice for my SBR as well. Best of both worlds, but it always comes down to personal preference. Enjoyed the video bro, look forward to more videos 🇺🇸

One interesting thing about guys trained to this level, they can act as instructors or do any other team members job in a tight. True professionals.

Great video, love this channel. I prefer a sling that can be run in both single and dual point configurations. I run mine on QD mounts for easy transition/manipulation.

Thanks Brutha! I’ve been struggling with my choice of sling. I did just buy a Blue Alph or Alpha Blue, can’t remember the correct name at the moment and for what I am doing in the far rugged terrain, Where I’m traveling/ hiking to my FFP it’s working pretty well. However, when shit hits the fan, like it always does, I’m having to take a critical possible one day, a fatal second to transition it out of my way. I’m getting better w/ it as we get into these situations daily, so it’s now seeming, it’s becoming easier.
I’m going to go back to the single with capabilities to turning into a two point.
    Carrying a 40 ruck, leasing a 85# K-9 Partner, M4,
Staccato P , Glock 45 as b/u, 40# plate carrier, 8-10 mags, 6 P mags, radio, satcoms, plethora of edged goods & 4 Glock Mags, my ass is whooped after every evolution! A good sling that doesn’t let you shit flop around makes life so much easier. I’m opting for the one you got w, a Benji / hook to hod it on my backside while enroute to my FFP or POI.
    Tks again!
