Do you know why(pronounced with v), I, sigmand freud, crossed ze road? To get to ze ozer side heir freud? No it vas to bang my mozer and kill my fazer!
I thought I would watch ZeFrank1 videos back to back but it is not possible. It is hard to first completely grasp one videos content, they are so deep. Lots of attention has to be paid.
Zefrank, thank you so much your videos. They make me really happy. Thank you for existing. Just listening to you today has made my day better and for that I am grateful.
This video was uploaded at the moment I started feeling exactly what you were describing. Thank you for letting me feel like it's okay to overthink. You are amazing.
the way the world perceives life seems to be explained in ways that i don't tend to think. i just realized now that i don't watch your videos for explanations or advice, i watch them for questions you make me think about. i'm very glad i found this channel.
ze, you do help everyone going to something at some point in their lives. But almost every video you have posted has a direct view of what happens in my life right now at the moment they post. thank you. thank you very much for your help
A couple of years ago, I did a research paper as well as a presentation on the cognitive science of laughter. I was obsessed with the idea at the time, and it still fascinates me that laughter can be controlled or uncontrollable, but nearly every human can tell the difference between real laughter and fake laughter. LAUGHTER!
Overthinking. I liked the correlation between creativity and relationships. Sometimes I see relationships as going through those cycles to bring it to its real purpose. The same thing with my creative work. Each cycle seems to add something or take something away from my work but always in the right direction. Change is constant. That I know without having to overthink it.
I relate to so much of many of your videos I’m a big over thinker, over reactor, over emotional, over anxious, over critical of myself and others, overly self aware, I’m up I’m down. I’m a hard person to love and I loose a lot of people, jobs. My emotional state and my physical state are showing I’m having so much stress and my health is suffering. I’m only now at 43 finally seeing doctors and getting the treatment I need both emotionally and physically. It’s helpful to hear your words and know I’m not alone like this although I’d never wish it on a single soul. But thanks for putting yourself out there I hope you know that you’re helping people and it’s worth putting yourself out there. ☺️
Just what I needed. My exams are a few days away now and it stressing me out, partly because it's National & also could determine what I could possibly do in the future. There is no outlet for me to release the stress but after watching this, I guess I could now say laughter. I would get the urge to laugh in the middle of class even though nothing funny was mentioned or done. Teachers & friends find it creepy but now I actually know why. Thanks, Ze! Now onto my usual mugging routine.
I've always been annoyed or angry or perplexed when told not to "over-think" something, or that I was "over"- thinking something. What most people call over-thinking is what's made me able to understand myself and the world.
When you were talking about the laughter being the release of excess emotion..it makes a lot of sense because thats what i do when at the doctor. with shots ad things of that nature, i have so much nervous laughter
well.. it's a stretch - but the idea would be that there would be an initial surge of feeling like something was wrong, but then the psychotic part would kick in and feel like it was ok to hurt someone.. which would be sort of a relief, and the tension in that would make LOLs? not sure...
You tell her that's how you feel. Don't be afraid to say "I don't know" but don't give up half way through the conversation either. Afterwards you may see a different side of her that will change your mind. Or she may see a different side of you that will make letting go easier. Either way, I wish you both good luck.
Re overthinking, it's said a lot in various practices, including creative ones, that the trick is to learn the rules and then forget them. I think this is pretty acurate, you need to think before, fill your brain with knowledge and ideas and ways you could do it, then let your conscious brain get out of the way and let the creative parts come through in a relaxed way. It's no coincidence that many great scientists find the piece of information that brings their work together through their dreams
nice books in the background totally ties in with the video and I noticed you still have those giant googly eyes. and the book "the act of creation" is pretty cool too.
In that "bye-bye song" I'm pretty sure a lot of the fun/energy-to-be-released in that slap is that it comes out of nowhere and because it is unnecessary, energy that adds to the shock and then the release.
i overthink a lot of things that used to come naturally. sadly they came without thought because i was either drunk or stoned. sobriety, even three years in, has left me thinking about simple, everyday things WAY too hard. but don't worry, i'm working on it. i think.
Also if you're still interested in laughter you can look up NPR's Radiolab and listen to their show on Laughter. And then after that you should listen to all of Radiolab because they're amazing.
I used to laugh whenever I was really nervous - like this weird sort of snickering thing. It's really interesting to hear the reason why, it really does make lots of sense.
I know this a really old video, but you are a super weird guy, and that is awesome. I love these type of vlogs, your weirdness, and your reality. I wish I actually knew you as a friend, because I think we could have some deep conversations.
So glad you brought up the benign violation theory! I got to hear Dr. McGraw talk about it in a lecture last year as it related to humor and drunkenness. Humor is strange stuff.
"The Bye bye song made me lol when the guy hauled off and smacked the other! What is it about hitting each other that we find so funny? : D" "Oh Amy, what an interesting question" ... made even more interesting, because the guy that "hit" the other, AND the guy that got "hit", were the same guy... in fact all four people in that Bye bye song were the SAME guy!
I'm not Ze, but I do believe the answer. Some people would call this "two faced," and, for the most part, that's about accurate. Not in the negative way, but the virtual way. Different people, due to our experience with them, bring out different emotions in us; different "sides," if you will. We know that these friends, when together, react a certain way in conjunction to certain things, and then we focus on that. We gather with them for those reasons, as well.
I have to just listen to these videos, if i watch him too long i find myself in some kind of hypnotic state and i get worried he's secretly trying to control my subconscious.
How is it that every time you make a new video it relates almost perfectly to something going on in my own life. This time being a rough patch in a relationship and that over analytical me saying to just let it go. I keep hearing that it'll be okay, but it's certainly difficult. I'm working through it though.
At the moment, on a simply visual and amusing face value level, I'm still waiting for the rubber duck I noticed over your left shoulder around 2:30 to jump up and jam on the cool little piano you set him up with.... Pertinent introspect to follow after I sleep a bit. Anyhoo, I appreciate your perspective on life. Cheers! ~DW in NYC

Do you know why(pronounced with v), I, sigmand freud, crossed ze road? To get to ze ozer side heir freud? No it vas to bang my mozer and kill my fazer!
I'm still recovering from it. It was amazing.
I love that I always learn something when I watch your videos, and also end up somehow feeling less alone by the end as well. Thank you, Ze.

You created joy, it's a good thing.

This Bye Bye Song, (at the end), was absolutely beautiful! I love that sweet harmony!

I just really like watching his face...
My favourite thing: pausing the video every now and then and seeing the incredible expressions that Ze has when he speaks.

Omg the bye bye songs are always so epic. The bar gets set higher and higher each time!

I have been praying for advice like this for so long! Thank you again for answering questions I didn't even know I had.
His eyes are VERY uncanny valley
I love listening to you talk, your speaking pattern and your voice combined is just awesome :D
Ze is the guy who inspired me to get off my butt and actually start making videos. So honoured to be featured!
The Bye Bye Song on this video here is one of my favourites that I've seen so far. Whoever is it, nice work!
I've always been annoyed or angry or perplexed when told not to "over-think" something, or that I was "over"- thinking something. What most people call over-thinking is what's made me able to understand myself and the world.
That bye bye song rocked it! Classic acapella.
When you were talking about the laughter being the release of excess emotion..it makes a lot of sense because thats what i do when at the doctor. with shots ad things of that nature, i have so much nervous laughter
best bye bye song yet. And there have been some good ones.
I really enjoyed this video, Ze. And can I just say, I am so very glad you're back.
"He was highlarious!"
Ze,I just wanted to say your really amazing and thanks for doing what you do.
well.. it's a stretch - but the idea would be that there would be an initial surge of feeling like something was wrong, but then the psychotic part would kick in and feel like it was ok to hurt someone.. which would be sort of a relief, and the tension in that would make LOLs? not sure...
Thanks! I'm only just starting, but I think it's taking off... :)
Oh my god, that Bass part in the Bye-bye song. MMMM. Gotta love that low voice.
Thank you ze frank for being a genius...and for being slightly insane. You are truly in inspiration to me.
I love your videos, Ze. they make me think about things I usually wouldn't think about..!
That was one of the best "bye bye" songs to date! KUDOS to the guy who made it! :D
In every video I have a staring contest with him, and I have lost.
That was a great Intro, It was like an intro to a childrens tv show, trippy and comforting.
You tell her that's how you feel. Don't be afraid to say "I don't know" but don't give up half way through the conversation either. Afterwards you may see a different side of her that will change your mind. Or she may see a different side of you that will make letting go easier. Either way, I wish you both good luck.
Its midnight, and I can't stop watching these videos.
I love the comedy and laughter books in the background.
The bye-bye song ending with the little "For the Longest Time" bit made me laugh. :D
I am just happy that there is laughter in this world. I always make sure I get a daily dose of laughter each day, also smiles. :)
you make so much sense it scared me sometimes, but it's a good scary because now i don't feel so alone with having these thoughts/feelings
my favorite Bye Bye Song yet, and I said the same about the last one. Where are these incredibly amazing people coming from?!
The face on that "Laughter" book. It's like he's as excited for these episodes as I am!
That was the best bye bye song yet. It just... yes.
thats a very cool song at the end! the best one so far
ahh but wheezy could fart on a twig and i would still laugh.
That wink at 0:58 kills me. Perfect timing Ze, thanks for the belly laugh.

Zefrank's eyes are bloody hypnotic
Ze, your videos always make me smile, laugh, and also revisit the bigger questions of my existence. Thanks. :)
Whenever I start overthinking something in life... I always come back to your videos :)
The opening scene and bye bye song were -- wow. You have talented friends, Ze.
nice books in the background totally ties in with the video and I noticed you still have those giant googly eyes. and the book "the act of creation" is pretty cool too.
Ah. That splains why the more realistic or unexpected the hit, the funnier it gets. Thats a good backhand.
The Freud quip at the beginning was poetry.
In that "bye-bye song" I'm pretty sure a lot of the fun/energy-to-be-released in that slap is that it comes out of nowhere and because it is unnecessary, energy that adds to the shock and then the release.
That was the best bye-bye song yet!
Complete silence, a blank look, followed by crickets chirping...
Hey Ze, I'm not overthinking right now.
Wow I really love the bye bye song this week!
Consider that the sound is important factor, and that children laugh when they are uncomfortable. Great job!
I love the books you used to research laughter show up in the cubby. They shocked me and normally your cubby doesn't LOL.
i always feel he's staring deep into my soul when i watch these videos! O.O
this is exactly what i needed to hear going into my second year of college. overthinking makes things unbearable.
i overthink a lot of things that used to come naturally. sadly they came without thought because i was either drunk or stoned. sobriety, even three years in, has left me thinking about simple, everyday things WAY too hard. but don't worry, i'm working on it. i think.
A masterful bye bye song there
Also if you're still interested in laughter you can look up NPR's Radiolab and listen to their show on Laughter. And then after that you should listen to all of Radiolab because they're amazing.
That's one of the better bye bye songs I've heard
Best bye bye song yet!!
He blinked one and a half times this vid and he made my eyes round while he speaks...his eyes are so big
I used to laugh whenever I was really nervous - like this weird sort of snickering thing. It's really interesting to hear the reason why, it really does make lots of sense.
That was the best byebye song of all time.
I love this man so much
I keep staring at his eyes... Its the center of attention, and now I realize that he has amazing eyes.
I like how he's always got relevant things in the background :P
Your words are so nice, and your face is interesting. The combination never bores me.
This is my favorite bye-bye song ever!
Me, I don't think there's such thing as overthinking, just focusing on the wrong aspects. Thinking in the wrong direction.
I know this a really old video, but you are a super weird guy, and that is awesome. I love these type of vlogs, your weirdness, and your reality. I wish I actually knew you as a friend, because I think we could have some deep conversations.
I think that when he winked was the only time we will ever see this man come close to blinking.
Soooo glad you're back Ze!
So glad you brought up the benign violation theory! I got to hear Dr. McGraw talk about it in a lecture last year as it related to humor and drunkenness. Humor is strange stuff.
probably my favorite bye bye song yet. :)
Ze, you have really pretty eyes. Also are you ever as blown away as me with all of these amazing bye-bye songs?
I never regret watching your videos
"The Bye bye song made me lol when the guy hauled off and smacked the other! What is it about hitting each other that we find so funny? : D" "Oh Amy, what an interesting question" ... made even more interesting, because the guy that "hit" the other, AND the guy that got "hit", were the same guy... in fact all four people in that Bye bye song were the SAME guy!

This is just awesomely brilliant stuff. Stuff I definitely needed to hear today.
