I just discover using bamboo tweezers to pick up my gilding flakes keeps them from being so static. Works like a charm.
That's interesting, I've never heard of bamboo tweezers!🤔
Another amazing idea. I loved the idea of the mini vacuum cleaner too!
Where can you find bamboo tweezers? 😮
@@sushanarti just got some on Amazon
Ooooo... thats a great idea. How about wooden scewers? Hmmmm... I wonder..
I must compliment you on your editing skills…we’re seeing scrolling banners, speeding up, slowing down, cutting out the heat tool sound, etc. You’re doing great! Daisy will be proud of you!
Thanks so much, it’s baby steps but I’m getting there! 😁😁😁
Another great way to stretch the use of embossing folders. I've done very little with my foam pads but watching your video is a real inspiration! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!😊😊😊
I always go to your facebook page and tap on the card and get a nice up-close look at the finished card. it's almost like holding it in your hand. They all look so amazing. These 2 cards turned out so nice. thank you for your amazing patience and ability to teach all of us.
It’s my true pleasure! Thank you
I don't have stamping foam, but I think of a few ways to get a similar look. Thanks for more awesome inspiration. Loved the one little second, etc.!!!
It's what I always used to say to estimate the passing of seconds!🙂
Beautiful dragonfly! The silver gilding flakes make the wings seem to shimmer like a real one. I really enjoy your videos and your enthusiasm for crafting and trying new things all the time.
Thank you. A lovely card with a beautiful dragonfly. 👏😊🌼💕
Thank you! 😊
I so much enjoy your videos and keep learning, learning, learning!!!
I just love all these little gadgets you're sniffing out!!!
Glad you like them!
As the old saying goes 'to err is human'. I really enjoy you revisiting techniques we may have not use for a while. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
The stamping foam is so versatile to take impressions of all sorts of things and the daisies from this 3D EF look so pretty as the focal image on the card Chrissie, and I love the dragonfly with the touch of silver gilding flakes and the wonderful Luscious Powder added to the wings which give it lots of lovely shine, and the soft brown tones of the oxide inks look great. I was thinking to buy some of this stamping foam a while ago but never did, but seeing the results you've got I think maybe I will. x
Thanks so much. Have fun!😊
The stamping foam is amazing. Quite wonderful how it keeps the shape until the next time. Apparently Daisy takes after you as she seems to have taught you all types of tricks and ways to edit. Thank you
Thanks Viki, it takes me a while, but I'm getting there!😀😀😀
Well I’ve never heard of stamping foam so this was a real education. Fabulous to think you can stamp the wonderful designs that are on embossing folders though. Thanks again for sharing a lovely technique used to make a lovely card 💕
You are so welcome!
@@Chrissieannie I forgot to say I have the little vacuum and magnetic thingy too. Love them 😊
You just have to remember that if you’re NOT using an embossing folder - which already can give you a reverse image - anything else you impress into the foam will be a reversed. In other words, if you impress a leaf into the foam, the field a r o u n d the leaf shape will be the area inked up, and that area is what will be featured on your project.
Ah Chris your videos are going from strength to strength. So clever of you to learn new tricks! I've never seen or heard of the stamping foam and it was magical watching you create with it.
Both the cards are lovely and I agree the dragonfly is glorious with it's shimmery body adding a sweet focal point.
I think that putting the card back into the embossing folder after colouring makes a real impact! Thanks as ever Helen 😊
Hi Christine thanks for sharing your lovely card designs using the stamping foam Happy Crafting
You are so welcome!
I think these stamping blocks are an amazing invention, I don't own any but it is on my wish list. Your card is just gorgeous. I love the neutral tones with a little bit of glitz! I could watch you all day long, but you would get pretty tired. LOL As always, you amaze me. Hugs, Brenda
Thanks Brenda 😊😊😊
You just continue to share such marvelous techniques! Please know I appreciate your sharing this time and your creativity…❤
I’ve got to buy some and try it as it looks mighty fun.

You are so welcome!😊
Lovely card and you've inspired me to get out my foam, also. It will be fun to use it in a new way with the 3D embossing folders. Thank you.
Have fun!Thanks
I love that you showed both sides of the embossing folder! I have stamping foam and was disenchanted until your demo!!! Thank you!! As ever, you WOW us again!! ❤❤
Thanks so much🙂
I love your cards Christine - just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this technique, I have never seen it before, so I'm off to buy some memory foam! 💕
Have fun!😊
Love your little vacuum and I have but not the same as yours but I use it all the time. I certainly will try this with my 3D folders and my stamping foam blocks. That was a great video Christine. Thank You
Go for it!😊
Great Christine. I’ve had stamping foam for years and never done anything with it. We are all guilty of buying things and not using them. At the time it’s a must have lol. Maybe I’ll finally use it. Thanks as always for sharing.
Thanks for that, have fun with your foam!😁
And, don’t you know, every item is a t r e a s u r e we covet even though it might not have lived up to its potential as yet!! Right at this moment, the U.S. Postal Service is on my @$#%§#@!! list, because they’ve LOST a set of dies I sent to a friend for her temporary use. 😡😡🤬👿. GRrrrrrrrrr!!!
Great idea now i know what to do with stamping foam. Lovely card again 👍👍
Thanks so much! 😊
I LOVE your videos!! As always just full of useful information. Please don't ever stop.
I’ll try not to! 😁😁😁
Thank you for the reminder. I have stamping foam that I haven’t used in a long time. Beautiful card as always 😊
have fun 🙂
I have a tiny vacuum too! It's for glitter but works for lots of things. So pretty
I like mine too!😀
You inspired me to get out my stamping foam and, having done some gardening, I picked a fern and impressed that into the foam. It looks like a Christmas tree, so I think I'll follow that theme and see where it takes me... Also, thank you so much for the tip to get a light spray of water, something I have always struggled with, it works like a dream! See you soon, Nicola xx
I have some stamping foam, but haven’t used it. I’m inspired to give it a go! I had a play using shaving foam marbling for the first time yesterday having watched one of your videos and also used teal and brown together. They came out beautifully!
I love watching your videos, I get so many ideas and techniques from them. It’s a great community you’ve built, too- some very helpful tips and ideas in the comments 🤗🇦🇺
Absolutely, I’m delighted that you are using your resources and enjoying them!
(( I usually spend at least four times as much time going through the comments as I spend watching Chrissy’s videos twice! ))
Stunning card, I have some stamping foam, next time, I get a moment, I'm going to give it a go. Thanks Christine 😍💜🧚♀️😘Chris@ Dark Fairy
Enjoy!😊😊😊
Beautiful elegant card!
Thank you so much!
What a great technique Chris,I must try it out ,and also a beautiful card,
Have fun!
Lovely card and I must use my foam again. Bamboo tweezers hmm interesting.
That’s what I thought! 🤔
I love your videos…I can’t believe you just used the Daisy bed embossing folder - I bought it awhile back and finally tried it yesterday (inking the inside of the folder with an ink cube)… and now your card design is so inspiring! I’ll have to try my memory foam now!
Have fun'😊
Hi Christine 🥰🦘🦘 Almost 3a.m. in Adelaide but I couldn't resist having a look at what you are doing. I should be sleeping!
TFS your pretty card. I have watched other foam videos (Simon & Gina Kay) & if I can, I will get a small pack of 2. The dragonfly is cute. Love the card. 🙏🌹
Have a good sleep… eventually!😊😊😊
Lovely cards. I got that stamp foam awhile ago but haven’t tried it yet. I’m inspired to get it out! And I love how you used the mica powder & the building flakes together. The dragonfly is beautiful.
Thanks so much 😊😊😊
Beautiful card. I have some stamping foam but didn't know quite what to do with it so thank you for showing us x
You’re welcome 😊
I have a Woodware spray mist bottle which aerosolises the water and I use it all the time, it's brilliant.
That’s good to know
Good video Christine...so impressed to watch as you continue to press on in improving the quality of your videos😊
Thank you, I'm trying!🙂
I found stamping foam when I was looking for stamping felt and ordered the wrong product. I finally found a video explaining how it works and have a couple of different shapes and sizes but haven't used it much. I think I should like to try with a couple of my stencils that I'd prefer to be the negative. Lovely cards as always. There's not enough time in my day to try out all your wonderful ideas.
Such fun!😊😊😊
Hi. Brilliant idea, thank you for sharing it! I don't know why I didn't think of trying it with stencils but I look forward to trying it out😊
(( Excuse me, but what is “stamping felt”? ))
you can make your own custom stamp pad and also use it to make multiple cards with a colored in stamp. There's a really old excerpt from Carol Duvall's craft show of Tim Holtz showing her how to stamp a snowman on the felt and color it with reinkers on the felt, stamp on the card, and then be able to color it again and again to be able to make multiple cards. @@kkrolf2782

Having never seen this technique, I am fascinated and want to try!

Hi. Thank you so much for sharing this video and your beautiful card. You got a lovely print from that embossing folder and you've definitely given me something to think about. I did laugh when you said that you got the little desk magnet at the same time as the mini vacuum as I did exactly the same when I got mine about a year ago but I went for the hat trick and also grabbed the circle cutter, too. I love my mini vacuum and I'd be lost (or at least my tiny dies would be) without my little desk 'keeper'. Thanks again and I hope you're having a great bank holiday weekend.😊
I couldn't find the vacuum by itself so I got a bundle with the magnet thingy, an adhesive eraser and a tray tidy thing (which I didn't want or need)!😀 Love that little vacuum thing though! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@Chrissieannie You are most welcome. I'm a messy crafter so I found it a game changer. 🤣
Brilliant, Chris! Another fun idea! From Cheryl in AZ
Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s the best use of stamping foam I’ve seen, I got a large and medium size foam but rarely use it. I wonder if you could stamp then match up and run through the embossing folder … could be interesting.
Great idea! I may have to try that!
Love the card. I must say I forget to use the foam, I’ve got it taped on a block, maybe I should get it out after my shower. Jenny ❤😊
Have fun 😊
Hello from Illinois, beautiful card, I must try this
It's fun!
I don’t mind the editing out of the embossing tool sound. I can’t wait to try this technique. Thanks for sharing
You are so welcome! Have fun!
Lovely card! I would have used the 2nd same size white card under the original stamped piece to lift it up a bit! A HAPPY accident!
Have the foam in a drawer. Used once. Will take it out and try your way .
Thanks big time!
Have fun!
So Lovely!! I have that also have have used it in a whilw!!
Great
Hello christine . Je connais cette technique mais je n ai pas encore investi 😊. Ce classeur d embossage est magnifique . Les 2 rendent cette carte tres jolie . Merci et bon dimanche 👋👋👋
Merci Milou
When the video quality was at 1080p I could zoom in on my mobile and see the details when you were doing your magic, and that was so amazing for me and my eyes. But now the videos are only 360p and that's too low for zooming. I hope you'll get back to 1080p video quality again some day.
Loved the neutral colours of the flowers and the metallic zing of the dragonfly. Beautiful card as always! 😇💖🙏🙌
I just looked and my camera is set at 1080p HD at 30fps
That's strange...maybe something happens when the video uploads? 🤔
@@sushanart I don't know, maybe editing reduces the picture quality🤔
Simon Hurley stamping foam use low tack tape and tape the back of the foam to a stamping block and attach foam, then heat and press into what pattern you are using it works faster that way
I did mention attaching the foam to a stamping block, but didn’t do that this time!😁😁😁
Just gorgeous ❤
❤❤❤
I was also going to share about the vac. I us it for glitter, powders, clippings etc. Works GREAT!!! And inexpensive. 😊
I love it!
Hi Christine, I too have never heard of stamping foam so it was great to learn something new. Your card as always was a delight.
I am really impressed with how you are editing your videos now proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks !
😀 I have one of those desk vacuums and it is my favourite tool as I can't craft in a mess.
Thanks again for sharing.
You are so welcome!
❤ what a fabulous way to revamp those embossing folders. I love this technique and we all make those little mistakes😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Amazing card, love the idea of the stamping foam it works really well, thank you and take care.

Hi Christine, Thank you for another great technique video, . for reminding me about the stamping mousse pads, the card you made is gorgeous. I haven’t used mine for ages, so will give them a go soon.
Can you please tell please tell me which little desk vacuum cleaner you bought? I googled desk vacuum, and there are lots of different ones, so it would be good to know the one you have, as some of the reviews I read weren’t great.
Hope you have a enjoyable and sunny Sunday.
Su 😊🌞
Wonderful! It's by Made to surprise!
@@Chrissieannie Hi Christine, thank you, did you buy it on Amazon? if not can you please tell me where you got it from, I live in France and French Amazon don’t always have the same items for sale as UK Amazon.
I would like to find the clever magnet dish too, was that from Amazon? it seems a great way to keep dies safe when you have a few crafting items on the desk. Can you tell me the name of that too please.
@@luvcreatincardsnkeepsakes they were from Craft Stash!
Thank you😊
Hi Chrissie. I absolutely love watching your videos and asked you recently what you use to store your dies, and you told me about the Tuff boxes. I’ve bought something similar in the range and they are brilliant. My problem was I couldn’t find a card stock thick enough to support the dies and they kept falling off when I picked up the sheet. Then had the bright idea of photo mount board! It’s amazing -5mm thick stiff foam covered in smooth paper, 1 x A1 sheet was £4.30 and I managed to get six A4 sheets with some leftover. It is super light, and now I can pick my Magnetic boards up easily without my dies falling off. Thought I’d share it with you. Also, hope you don’t mind me asking but have you changed your camera or settings? Your later videos seem to be only filmed in 380 and are not so sharp. The lovely video with the leaves and the eyeshadow was in 1080 and therefore had more clarity. I really hope you don’t mind me mentioning it as I just love watching all your designs and ideas. ❤😊
I don’t know how it’s sorted, I just use the camera on my phone, not sure what the settings are. Does zooming in lower the resolution very much? I could do with lessons!
I back my magnetic sheets with A4 cardstock, it seems to help!
Hi Chrissie, I’ve just asked my sons girlfriend as she is regularly posting TH-cam videos herself and she said that when on video mode, in the top right hand corner she keeps on HD.30. I’ve checked and it’s the same on my phone. I have an apple 13 pro Max, but I guess it’s the same on other Apple phones. She said either that, or maybe you have to go into settings on your phone. Really hope that helps. Yes I tried the A4 card stock, but it was still unstable with a lot of the dies so found the mount board. excellent. Bought it from Hobbycraft and you get an extra deal if you buy four huge sheets.😊
Ive not heard of stamping foam, where do I go to order this. Thanks for your demo brilliant as usual 👍
It depends where in the world you live. Just put 'stamping foam' into a search and see what pops up!
Where did you get you little vacuum? Great technique!

Let me know if your new table vacuum will pick up embossing powder.
It does!
Has anyone tried heating the foam blocks with some “bean bag heating bags”? I just had the idea that maybe they would more thoroughly warm the foam without burning it, AND would protect fingers from the same hazard.
Interesting, although I've never had a problem with my heat tool!
Fabulous!!!
