I wanted this to be the most basic of introductions for the characters, just so people could get a basic sense of how each character plays. Some things to add: -If you played Enter the Gungeon, you'll know that dodge rolls grant invincibility. This doesn't apply to Fish, so don't roll directly into enemy fire. -Combining Eyes's Throne Butt with the Euphoria mutation(slows enemy bullets), you have a powerhouse that can push nearly all enemy fire away, making Eyes a top tier character.
Alright, let's be honest here. The selections when picking Y.V.'s Throne Butt were Back Muscles, Gamma Guts, Scarier Face, and Throne Butt. Unless you were going with a melee build for Y.V. Gamma Guts is out, as it rarely affects ranged builds. (Never make a Y.V. melee build, pop pop does nothing and all you have is an increased fire rate, Jackhammer would run out of ammo too quickly, the Shovel would still take years to reuse and everything else that is normal, or not plasma, laser, blood, etc, would be worthless) So after eliminating Gamma Guts, you're stuck with Back Muscles, Scarier Face, and Throne Butt. As a Y.V character who is going to play ranged, you may want to skip Throne Butt for the beginning of the game as it may only show effective mid game or loop two. So you're stuck with Back Muscles or Scarier Face, a difficult decision. Although, due to increased fire rate, Back Muscles would show more useful, as the fire rate will burn ammo quicker, pop pop virtually doubles damage, taking care of Scarier Face. But if you are lucky, or a gun god in general, try to make a Y.V. build with Throne Butt, Scarier Face, Back Muscles, Trigger Fingers, Rhino Skin, and Second Stomach, if you do get a build like this, you're pretty much given safe passage, and that's not even including the ultra mutations or other 4 mutations you receive or Crown of Destiny (I believe, which ever one gives you a free mutation) You're set, a Slugger and Crossbow, of higher tiers will make you virtually unstoppable. Sorry for the little rant here, rant not rant, whatever it is, advice.
I have about 45 minutes into nuclear throne so far and I have obviously fish, Crystal and melt unlocked because you start the game with fish and Crystal and melt is unlocked the first time you die, then I also have eyes and plant, so far every character is really fun, as mentioned here you unlock melt really early because you literally unlock him when you first die and he has the corpse explosion ability which reminded me a ton of the Diablo 2 necromancer it made me want to start playing that again, I highly recommend playing four or five matches with each character including melt even though he is like the most difficult character to play with in the beginning seeing as you die in one or two hits, just use a really defensive play style with him and make sure to explode those corpses and lure enemies into them especially with throne butt unlocked with the hugely increased radius and damage he can really clear stages fast, obviously with melt go for the mutations that give you increased health drops and increased health and ammo in general, definitely the mutation that saves you from a deadly kill once per level and refills as soon as you reach Max health again seeing as he starts off with only two health it's super easy to refill it but picking up a single health pack whereas other characters would need to pick up multiple, I found eyes extremely fun too because you can use the telekinesis to drag chests towards you if you're anchored down somewhere and low on ammo or health the main reason I like eyes is because you can drag weapons all the way to the portal with you strategically to where you can drag every weapon on the map into the next level with you, any weapon sitting close to the portal is teleported into the next level with you so it gives you a huge variety of weapons to use making ammo a lot less important, fish is really fun due to the increased mobility starting off with a Dodge roll and the water jet after acquiring throne butt which should be the main thing you're going for, Crystal even though it starts off with more health and the ability to block bullets for an entire 2 seconds and even ricochet red bullets back at enemies I found to be one of the more complicated characters, I find myself playing a little too offensively with Crystal because I know I can just pop the shield right up so I tend to run out into the thick of it a little more often, and her throne butt mutation takes a little getting used to, Crystal was actually the first character I used the throne butt mutation on and I killed myself using it, it's definitely not bad by all means but it takes a little getting used to, plant is also pretty equally badass, as stated in this video plant moves really fast from the get-go on top of being able to rapid fire the seed ability locking a single enemy in place but resetting every time you fire the next shot, this was really useful for little bandit or whatever his name is on level 3, about my first 20 matches I died to that fuker every single time, being able to lock him in place is super useful, shoot the seed at him and hide behind corner and keep peeking out re seeding him and shooting him until he dies, that's what I had in mind immediately at the start of level one using plant and the whole time getting to stage 3 I was like watch it doesn't work on the mini boss enemies but yes it really does, I haven't made it to the bigger boss after the junkyard yet so I don't know about larger enemies but the smaller mini bosses it definitely holds them in place, I thought the throne butt mutation was a little underwhelming for plant that's about my only complaint there, making it out a slight touch of damage is definitely helpful but I think being able to fire two at a time without it resetting or have it be a little wider on top of doing the tiny amount of damage it does would have been way cooler without being overpowered, and that's where I'm at so far, I'm about to get on right now and try to unlock creature and the little Illuminati type guy using the screwdriver on the vehicle in the junkyard, both of those seem pretty easy and creature definitely seems really overpowered I'm really excited for that even more than the pop pop Illuminati looking guy, I've been having a really good luck with screwdriver drops on the first three levels and getting creature should be a piece of cake as long as I can kill it which I'll probably use plant to attempt that good luck guys and to the person uploading these videos great work keep it up, you should do more in depth videos after you're done covering all of the unlockable stuff maybe do an all trophies video or a guide for each area I'm sure everybody here would come watch anything you release on this game

Its worth noting that Plant's snare also affects other things, like toxic gas, fire, and certain enemy projectiles (like Big Dog's rockets)
