I think that’s actually the central band. FS Phelan is a central band Drummy, the DOM looks likely to be the PDM and the bandmaster at the back is Terry Gardner. All central band execs. The regiment band was still at cranwell when this was filmed and if it’s the Remembrance Day service then it would only have been the central band
The RAF band always does a fine job because each member is an accomplished musician. I am curious: Is there a minimum height requirement to be in the RAF Band and, if so, is that requirement different than that for other British military bands? Does each band have its own requirement?
trapezemusic The requirement for any RAF band is to play at a grade 8 standard plus be able to sight read and have decent music theory. The Royal Marines are similar, while the army is a bit easier since you only need to be a grade 6 standard to join
With the advent of the Equality Act, females are allowed to play in military bands on merit only( they can play music to a set standard). The shorter ( in height ) personnel are female.
There is no height restriction for any of the UK military bands providing that any height abnormalities are not being caused by a disease process. We had a drummer who was 4’11”!

Yes there is such a thing as the Band of the RAF Regiment.I was a member of the Band of the RAF Regiment for 10.5 years playing the Cornet and BBb Bass.I was Assistant Band Librarian and then Band Librarian.Today there only three RAF Bands,the Central Band of the RAF,the RAF College Band and the Band of the RAF Regiment.
