The world’s first independent Air Force. #NoOrdinaryJob #FindYourForce #RAF #RoyalAirForce #ArmedForces
I can just see my father marching across the Cranwell parade ground when he joined up in 1929. Makes the hairs stand up....
Mine in 1950!
A wonderful rendition of "National Emblem", a fine American march
The band looked, marched, and played MAGNIFICENTLY!
I say this as a retired U.S. Army Bandsman.
You Brits may not have invented military music...but you do it better than anyone else!
This is top class performing! Thanks for sharing. Kudos to the sound technician too, great recording!
the royal air Force always comes with class in every aspect
Wonderful precision playing and marching. I was privileged to be stationed with the No. 2 Regional Band in 1954. They even had a Glenn Miller line up. Great guys.
Thanks for sharing, it was a magnificent performance 🇬🇧💪
Amazing performance, well done, Sgt 23 years
They sound and look fabulous. So lucky to have such talented muscians
Wonderful ,Takes me back to my passing out parade....Keep it up, If we had stayed in the Stupid Commo Market the Royal Air Force would not continue in it's fantastic form...
I always prefer British bands because they produce that "crispy" sound. Not too sharp. Just a relief to the ears.
RAF bands are the sharpest in the UK military!
This is brilliant marching and covid style counter-marching. As someone who remembers when the RAF boasted 5 major staff bands, it would be great to see more of the remaining 3 bands on youtube. Hint! Hint!
This brings back happy memories of time spent In the 'School of Music' at R.A.F. Uxbridge, in Middlesex 1962.
I recall hearing that they closed the base, and moved operations to R.A.F. Northolt.?
Wonderful, happy days playing my trombone, not a care in the world.
🙂
Oh lord grant that i join thr RAF one day. Such exquisite smartness and order. Make me long to be 🤩😍💞👍🇿🇲
Excellent !
Great tuba playing!!
Perfection
God Save The King!
like it
Is it just me or did the warrant officer switch with a commissioned officer in the beginning?
only just noticed this, but the conductor at the start has 4 chevrons meaning he's also a drum major?? meaning the second conductor must have been the director of music and the drum major on parade was actually an assistant drum major considering the 3 chevrons showing as a sergeant?? correct me if im wrong
i think you are onto something haha
You are 💯 correct.

Was the music dubbed from a studio recording? Forgive a) my ignorance and b) my untutored ear but it sounds too perfect. Maybe it was. Great sound.
Hi
No, it was all recorded live.
RAF Recruitment
Seemed that way didn’t it? I’m really impressed with that
