My addiction to opoids from that happened the same time Buddy's addictions did, so every. fucking. song. hit me right in the heart. Especially dealing with suicide. They got me through. b shark Felt that man. Got into SF at 12 and now I’m 27. 2006-2010 were the hardest years of my life. Alcohol, opiate addiction, teen pregnancy, and catholic guilt. Still Searching + Life Is Not a Waiting Room got me through those years. I strayed in early adulthood and fell further into the depths of addiction. I survived a suicide attempt at age 20. I drove my car off a cliff at 106 mph. I didn’t die, I barely even got hurt and I took that as a sign. Battled addiction for 5 more years until I finally was diagnosed both bipolar and on the autism spectrum. So much started to make sense in my life. I’m working towards 3 years clean now, I have a great girlfriend who helped me through addiction. We are moving out of state together in a couple months and I have a refreshed outlook on myself and the pain I’ve endured. The new album has been a fitting soundtrack to this phase of recovery and growth in my life. I appreciate Buddy endlessly for pushing on and putting out new music. I loved the sound and lyrical content of the new album, and I am even more excited for the upcoming album. I don’t feel much connection to other people, that’s the nature of my condition, but I feel a connection to Senses Fail and the fans that doesn’t exist anywhere else. 🤘 rock on brother

I think Buddy needs to know that 32 may seem old in some ways. But he is so young in the long run. I've been listening to SF since I was 14. Hes heard people tell him hundreds of times i bet that the music has helped people. But what I want him to know is that we all collectively have emotions evoked from his songs and the songs written throughout the time he and the band has been together. The ever changing industry has changed SF and with change comes new music. We will still support.
I love this band, and Buddy is sort of an idol to me. I've loved every song, every album they have released, even the last one even though it caught a lot of crap (not really sure why) I relate to Buddy with his depression, anxiety and his alcoholism in the past. I'm still an alcoholic myself but, seeing that he's managed to overcome his own addictions, gives me hope. If There Is Light is a great record.

That's awesome dude. Pull the thorns was very personal for me. It spoke about sexuality, addiction, fear of loss...everything that's been building inside of me for years. Like I said, I relate to all of Buddy's shit but, that one really hit me. So does If there is light though. Buddhism has had my interest for quite a while now, and I think it might help me with some of my issues...I just need to find the focus to sit down and learn it.

He came out shortly before I did. My mom is from Thailand so she's a hardcore Buddhist but I wasn't born there so I would like to learn more about it as well. I just got the tattoo to represent my cat who had died while I was visiting family in Thailand because the song represents reincarnation so yeah, this album also hit me hard.
