All Time Low got career advice from a drunk Buddy Nielsen in 2009

- The Vans Warped Tour is an opportunity for bands who wouldn't normally tour together to spend the summer getting to know each other, grow as artists and reach out beyond their genre to offer support and respect to their fellow musician. For Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, this camaraderie came in the form of drunkenly stumbling onto All Time Low's tour bus and offering unwarranted career advice in 2009.
Nielsen, now clean and sober, waxes romantic about the paradigm shifting summer of '04, poking fun at other bands and trying to figure out what the hell the deal was with I Set My Friends On Fire. In this episode of Warped Perspective, Nielsen explains why the Warped life is grueling and why the end of the tour is necessary.

when bands would sign with drive-thru records early 00's, it would take a while for the bands to change their website, so their AIM screen names sere available usually. I once had a convo with Buddy on AIM where he suggested my buddies and I drop out of high-school because thats what they did. We didn't take the advice, but we also didn't get big lol

Im turning 18 and im like so sad warp is ending because I never went and people kept promising me ill go. When I was 13 my mum said when u get older ill take you so i asked last year and we was going to go but couldn't. Hope Senses Fail is still doing good. I haven't listened to their newer music really. Actually I came across this video after getting carried away wanting to listen to Garden State!
I love the newer stuff imo especially with what they did with Finch.
Their more recent stuff is super heavy and more hardcore but their latest album sounds a lot like their older albums, just with more mature. I love their new stuff.
They played elevator to the gallows at warped and not many people really knew it but I sang my lungs out to it.

Sheesh. Getting to know Buddy better, I've come to terms that I don't think I'd like him in person as much as I dig his music. I'm ashamed that he's got the gall to shit on bands like All Time Low and I Set My Friends On Fire. I wouldn't expect Buddy to be the kind of prick that shits on people's taste in music but here we are. There's not really a whole lot I've heard from him out of these alternative press segments that really impressed me.
