    So can you send music via Bluetooth, but how do you( or can you) send the microphones through the Bluetooth?
    I want to send microphone signals to powered speakers via Bluetooth which I do already with Bluetooth speakers, but it would be nice to send microphone AND music to the speakers using a mixer.
    In other words can this mixer be used to send "everything " to the speakers?

    • @PrestonKallshian

      You cannot Bluetooth out of the mixer. Only into it. It is usually possible to connect via aux cable. Any device with a speaker can potentially play out loud the mixer sound. I would use a headphone splitter to connect headphones and an aux cord or one if the main outputs. There are many ways to do this.

      You're welcome! You could use a 2 or 4 channel mixer for that. It's really about how many devices you will plug in. For the phone connection there are a couple of options. The Bluetooth will work great for talking on the phone thru the mixer however if you are using the Bluetooth you cannot connect to the PC via USB at the same time. I would either place the call through your computer instead of phone if possible (I do this with Google voice but apple probably has a way too), or get a headset connection wire for the phone which will allow a wired connection from the phone to the mixer. Let me know and I will help you.

I have a pair of Edifier s3000pro powered speakers with xlr balance inputs and I'm buying a pair of Kali in 8 powered monitors. My question is can I use a mixer board to make them play at the same time for my tv or streaming devices without breaking them? I would like to use my 2 different pairs of powered speakers as my home theater and music set up and listen to them at the same time. If this is possible can you recommend a board that would sound great and won't break the bank. I thank you in advanced sir. • @PrestonKallshian
      @PrestonKallshian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think you need a mixer for that. You only need to split the output from your TV to both sets of speakers. A simple headphones splitter and wires to each speaker set would do the same. For that much money I would buy a dedicated TV surround sound instead of monitors.

    • @PrestonKallshian
      @PrestonKallshian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might be able to do that. Not sure I understand so please explain. I use the main outs for speakers, "Send" can be used for sound output instead, or possibly the headphone jack or control room out. All are outputs at different levels.

    • @richiOMG
      @richiOMG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would effectively be using the usb channel for both recording and playback, but i dont want the usb playback audio to pass through onto the usb record channel
      For example a lot of behringer mixers get around this issue with some toggle switches that send both usb and 2-track inputs to only control room/headphones, or to the main mix. Engaging control room/headphone routing stops the usb audio from coming out from the main out or usb out.
      Im wondering if there's something similar that can be done with this mixer

    • @richiOMG
      @richiOMG 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PrestonKallshian Another scenario I could think would be a good explanation would be overdubbing
      Making a multitrack file on a DAW with only one track out of the USB built int interface:
      I would have to playback a previously recordad track, say a guitar, and then record vocals on a separate track, but I only would want the vocals, not guitar and vocals on the same track within the DAW

    • @PrestonKallshian
      @PrestonKallshian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richiOMG The functions you mention on the Behringer are not available on this standard consumer-level mixer. That is the only downside, the USB audio passes thru back and forth continuously so may hinder some gaming activities and recording techniques. I have upgraded to the Pyle Pro mixer which adds the PFL and Mute features on each channel, although those features do not effect the USB channel and recording. Only the main out.

    • @richiOMG
      @richiOMG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PrestonKallshian Such a shame! I was hesitant to buy Behringer products because of their reputation of not standing the test of time, also separe phantom power switches for the xlr inputs on behringer mixers are rare
      I'll have to pick my poison
      Either way, this mixer is still great and probably will consider it for other applications, great bang for the buck
      Thanks for all the information, Preston. You've helped a lot. Definitely subbing and will look forward to more of your videos!

    • @PrestonKallshian

      Good questions. No it can't hook to Bluetooth speakers. The Bluetooth is input only and it doesn't work while in PC/USB mode. Yes, it is made for XLR inputs so the Samson with XLR plugs into channel 1 and then mixer to PC via USB cable. The mixer becomes the audio input/output device. Whatever you can do with it will be heard in your PC recording.
