    My dad has collected tractors since the 80’s and has got a Ford 9600 with the British mudguards making it a rare tractor. We have 8 and apart from two they all are 100hp plus

    Believe the 9600 was 110 at the bar and maybe 130-140 PTO. Very capable. And less expensive than a 4320 or 1066.

    The 9600 is a handy powerful tractor, not big & bulky....

    I believe Ford only made 2wd in one size bigger. 9700. Might be wrong. This was a poor mans 1066!

      Actually the 9700 was the replacement for the 9600 model in 1976, the 9600 was the largest two wheel drive Ford tractor produced from 1972 to 1976 replacing the 9000 launched in 1969

    I've never heard of a County tractor. It looks like the Ford
    Would this be like a David Brown to a CASE.

      Jerry Kinnin Not at all back in the 60s 70s and 80s County and several other companies bought Ford skid units and converted them to 4 wheel drive and usually added 6 cylinder engines Unfortunately when Ford started to build this type of tractor themselves it was the death knell for companies like County.

    • @tractorbarnproductions2009
      @tractorbarnproductions2009  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jerry, no they were a separate company called County Commercial Cars and they bought skid units from Ford that they then converted to four wheel drive

      @simonbaker8776 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh they are ford tractors modified by the county brand as the manufacturers didnt make big and 4 wheel drive machines off the shelf so to speak, there was also a similar company called roadless

      @@montrocon ford built 4 wheel drive tractors from the 60's . Fordson super 6 . Six cylinders and 4 wheel drive. Both front and rear tyres the same size. They also built the super 4 on the same design. Forever love my old ford tractors

    • @montrocon
      @montrocon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yusuf Abdullah Those are all County conversions ie County Super Six. Fordson never made a 6 cylinder Major or a four wheel drive Major they are all conversions. I have seen them badged as Ford but County did the conversions
