Talk about a rabbit hole. You mentioned being married for 7 years, and I got to thinking how long I’ve been watching the two of you . I was first introduced to you by Seth 6 years ago,and that lead to Single track sampler and BKXC. I still follow the two of you and Seth. Now I’ve got 5 more videos two watch, there goes the night. Thanks this trip should be fun.
I think I was Skills with Phil -> Seth -> SIngletrack and BKXC -> Syd and Macky. Slighty less than 6 years ago tho, but that just means I got a giant backlog of videos to watch through every time I found a new channel :)
I love the dynamic between the four of you! Passionate about mountain biking but different humor, body types, spirits, strategies, etc. I especially liked how the couples complement each other…vision oriented vs detail oriented.
Being from that part of the world - this will be an epic ride and trip for sure - the K 2 N is legendary. At about the same time you will be there - there will also be the amazing epic migration gravel race going on in Kenya across (the border) ... I cant wait to see your experience. Enjoy and wait to be amazed!
There are retractable pool ropes which can be attached to back of a saddle. For this application it would be perfect for you. She can pull up, catch the loop, hook it up over the stem and then release any time carefully.
Nice riding and great footage. You both say you are on a quest to accomplish some if the best bike racing you can. I would strongly encourage you both to look in to the Life Time Grand Prix that takes place each year. It is a series of different races all over the country and I promise you.. between Unbound and Leadville, you will see what your made of.
A much safer, more compact, and easier to quickly release whenever necessary solution for your bike towing adventures is to use a small retractable dog leash modified with a foot or so of bungee cord and a handle (some light tubing) at the end of the leash. This allows for the light to retract and be completely stowed as soon as you let go of it, without worrying about it getting caugh in your wheel. The handle of the leash just zip ties to your seat post. Adventure racers do a lot of bike towing, and have kind of perfected this design.
I found about this race last year on BC POV and Van Girl Yuka's channel and immediately wanted to race it. Their videos of the race were beautiful. I went to sign up and saw your names and got excited for this future video. Sadly I fell supper ill and didn't sign up for the race but hoping I can in the future.
The jerseys look awesome. I rode an adventure race with a tether. It was a diy shock cord thing but we used a plastic piece on the outside to keep it rigid. I think we were able to leave it attached to the lead bike.
Totally lost me with the Taylor person and fashion stuff. But your local trails are actually very nice, and yet most of your home videos lately are of riding on the roads.

Crazy, that’s basically the exact same “discovery journey” I had of all these channels all those years ago.
Jesus... Has it been that long. Same here
Seriously, I can't have been watching these guys that long.....

We aren't super interested in gravel racing, so we probably won't ever do the full LTGP. Leadville will probably happen one day, though ;)

I need to head back to Los Alamos sometime.
That was an extremely busy video! 🌪️

So sorry to hear you got sick! Definitely keep this race on your list. It was a phenomenal experience.

Wouldn't a tandem be easier?
Not when we were off pavement for most, and needed to hike with them some too.
Aha just teasing

Best of luck from Australia
I really wonder how that cord is going to work in a race and how its not going to end up in macky's rim.
You have to have a Rita cameo more often
good luck homies!!
The first thing I noticed was the new kits, love them❤

Can we get polo's for the golfers here ;)
My parents in their 60s went on a cross Canada RV tour. I thought there goes 40 years of marriage lol.
what are your ftp's looking like right now you seem so strong
just wondering, i know you used shokz headphones in the past, what are you using now? good luck on the season
Still using and loving them
You just have to not be slowest to not get eaten
Eric and Yuka (BCPOV and Van Girl Yuka) raced this last year.
I knew I’d seen it somewhere before 👍🏼
@@streddaz It looks like a pretty wild race from their video of it.
@@mrvwbug4423 sure does!
Eric is a great story teller!
whats that song at the end of the video
Is Lo and Joe grooming Syd and Macky?
Do it while you can.
when you get there say "jambo" it means hello, they will respond the same. pronounce with the 'j' sound not 'y' sound.😉
Lots of dangerous wildlife there. Yikes.
It looks like you’re using Stages computers, now that they have failed how are you managing and who are you changing to…?
No plans to change yet as they're still working as expected, but we're keeping our eyes out for other interesting options...
Man thay wears Taylor S T automatically get eaten by lions
That shirt with Tswift as the Messiah is amazing
So, when are you going to break up ?
Totally lost me with the Taylor person and fashion stuff. But your local trails are actually very nice, and yet most of your home videos lately are of riding on the roads.
