You’ve had an amazing impact on millions of people around the world and you’ve changed the course and direction of people’s lives, including mine, for which I’m grateful. Knowing all this, how does this all not impact your ego in a huge way???

Thank you for this report and yes it is a difficult passage from an understanding and ramification to say ‘one more time from the top’ as anyone familiar with music understands.
It may not be the song that is as important as its being played on; I will play it again and ‘one more time from the top’. ☘

Mind blowing that temperatures have jumped half a degree Celsius in a year… a process that in the past took about 500 years or more… time to batten down the hatches📝

Yesterday it reached 114 F approximately 15 miles East of the State Capitol in Sacramento located in Northern California USA. I can only describe the feeling as oven-like and brutal. The last four Summers living here, i’ve felt imprisoned in my home which i realize is a State of Mind, but relief outside of early morning hours requires a minimum of two hours drive East or West where temps average 15 degrees cooler making it possible to be outside. A four hour drive is not doable. Additionally to be surrounded by friends, family, and most people in general with cognitive dissonance unwilling to talk about the elephant in the room only adds to my sense of aloneness. I am seeking solutions. 🙏🏻

I'm afraid too many people let power go to their heads once it's in their hands. This has happened too many times on the Left in different contexts over the past century or so. Compassionate, caring cooperative leadership is key, not top down diktat and dogmatic entrenchment.

Joe Brewer's design school for earth regenerators is collapse aware and accepting, while working on bioregional learning centres, which appears to be in total alignment with what you are saying.

I agree but I think in addition to preparing for the collapse there must be positive examples of new forms of social and political organization. My PhD dissertation explored this question of are humans capable of doing something different? My answer lies in your country’s modern matriarchies described in “Women at the Center, Life in a Modern Matriarchy” by Peggy Reeves Sunday.
So that while we build villages around local food production, leadership and control of resources must shift into the hands of women and consensus governing. And continue through matrilineal structures which ensure community well being.

I am so glad I struggle with all of this being autistic. I literally dont gaf about peoples feelings.
I care about being truthful and acting. I care about aligning MY life so that my very actions by definition promote the 'feelings' that all this neurotypical mumbo jumbo that has infected activism is all about.
My truth is you can all keep talking this hippy shizzle till your heart stops from lack of food and it will not make a difference in this paradigm.
I even consider extinction rebellion and its 'perfect' activism formula to be self manifested controlled opposition. the elites don't need to shut them down, they castrate themselves.
The science of James Hansen is bang on the money and aligns PERFECTLY with the formula of Svante of 1856.
We have set the thermostat to +10 and the amoc is collapsing now and everything is going to burn, drown or starve.
    There is no stopping it.

    • @gigabane7357
      @gigabane7357 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a different way.
I am sure there are multiple different ways.
But the one I am backing is a form of constitutional monarchy that is under pinned by citizens assembly as the 'capital city prototype' and all others are full blown citizens assembly. The reason it is like this is because frankly the human race is a gang of unruly children that need putting back in line. You are obsessed with being led no matter how much you profess democracy.
This new nation is not compatible with the current system. nor these ways of life.to even become a citizen you have to swear a life long vow to never hurt sentience unless there is no choice. for those that need little boxes of understanding, yes that means veg or vegan at a minimum or you can burn with the animals you caused to extinct.
Nature is red of tooth and claw.
In all of us there is a little hippy that wants the age of aquarius. but there is always some ahole out there to destroy it.
So the real aquarius is a nation founded on solar punk permaculture that lives as if we are part of a single conscious universe, that will simply compost any who dare to hurt those it protects.

      @gigabane7357 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kurtklingbeil6900 The answer to that would have to be like answering from the point of city planners and engineers and scientists and a lot more besides.
but at a fundamental level, our species has actually cracked becoming a 'cold engine' as opposed to the heat engine civilization we have become.
A great deal of what needs to happen at this time needs to stay quiet because of capitalism and 'competition' stealing all the right ideas for the wrong reasons.
But I will give you an example of the ideas forming from this paradigm. an idea you will very unlikely to have heard anywhere else on the planet.
It is possible to manufacture type 5 ice (ice that holds more water than water of the same volume!) right here on earth, using nothing more advanced than heat pumps manipulating the phase change of ice 1h to create the mechanical force required for type 5 to form in a connected chamber.
I have no idea who you are or what you know, but I do know that you have access to AI's that have access to human science. So you very much should be able to follow this trail to scientific viability.
And those that can see it with the right mind, should see this has nobel prize level ramifications in multiple sectors of our existence.
We even know how to make solar panels that can grow themselves from ice.

      You mean Pokemon ?
What's with the cryptic quasi secrecy cloak and dagger stuff ?
Sounds like national Enquirer / Alex Jones stuff.
(Some of) The Electric Universe types talk about "electric currents everywhere driving everything" and some "special secret low temperature plasma being the 5th state of matter"
But nothing substantial.- no equations, no constants, no simulations .
Now you are claiming that the "species has cracked type 5 ice"
Doesn't have the ring of truth for me...
Most engines are (differential) heat engines which rely on expansion of gases to create force/acceleration
There is a far greater difference in heat available in going up in temp than down - which drives condensation and freezing - the very opposite of vaporization and expansion
You refer to AI / aka "Plagiarism Engine" as the tool to discover the details
      AI doesn't _crrae_ new knowledge
It draws inferences from existing accumulated knowledge (most probably English language stuff)
If you are purporting to be secretly leaking some "new physics" right here on YT University... I'm thinking waaaaay more substance is required than cryptic Pokemon references

    No ‘BAU’?
‘Most’ ‘economic thinking’ is ‘short run’ and ‘redundant’?
    ‘It’ ignores the ‘supply side’?
‘Growth’ {and ‘civilisation’} depends upon ‘cheap’ F.F. - those so called ‘halcyon days’ are ‘over’. ?
“The crisis now unfolding, however, is entirely different to the 1970s in one crucial respect… The 1970s crisis was largely artificial. When all is said and done, the oil shock was nothing more than the emerging OPEC cartel asserting its newfound leverage following the peak of continental US oil production. There was no shortage of oil any more than the three-day-week had been caused by coal shortages. What they did, perhaps, give us a glimpse of was what might happen in the event that our economies depleted our fossil fuel reserves before we had found a more versatile and energy-dense alternative. . . . That system has been on the life-support of quantitative easing and near zero interest rates ever since. Indeed, so perilous a state has the system been in since 2008, it was essential that the people who claim to be our leaders avoid doing anything so foolish as to lockdown the economy or launch an undeclared economic war on one of the world’s biggest commodity exporters . . . And this is why the crisis we are beginning to experience will make the 1970s look like a golden age of peace and tranquility. . . . The sad reality though, is that our leaders - at least within the western empire - have bought into a vision of the future which cannot work without some new and yet-to-be-discovered high-density energy source (which rules out all of the so-called green technologies whose main purpose is to concentrate relatively weak and diffuse energy sources). . . . Even as we struggle to reimagine the 1970s in an attempt to understand the current situation, the only people on Earth today who can even begin to imagine the economic and social horrors that await western populations are the survivors of the 1980s famine in Ethiopia, the hyperinflation in 1990s Zimbabwe, or, ironically, the Russians who survived the collapse of the Soviet Union.” ?
    However?
    'We' are 'saved'.
With the usual caveats? {but not from global heating}?
“Russia finds vast oil and gas reserves in British Antarctic territory
Reserves totaling 511bn barrels of oil - about 10 times the North Sea’s entire 50-year output - have been reported to Moscow by Russian research ships, according to evidence given to the Commons Environment Audit Committee (EAC) last week. ”?
