have this in my backyard about 15 x 15 under my magnolia tree here in central florida hummingbirds love it. it definitely brings them into my yard as the flowers bloom at the top, to think i almost got rid of this plant when we first bought the house. it does like moist soil and blooms for use about 3 times a year. its on the southside of our lot but we have a 8ft fence that shades its trunk and roots.
