  • This mushroom hunting video was recorded on 28th and 29th July 2023 in Slovakia, Europe. It shows early summer mushrooms growing in near-mountains area. I'm picking the following mushroom species: Cep / Penny bun / King bolete (Boletus edulis), Red-capped scaber stalk (Leccinum piceinum), Golden chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius) and Weeping milkcap (Lactifluus volemus).

Awesome L. volemus photo. What stacking settings did you use for that particular photo, can you share if you remember? What aperture, how many photos in the stack, and what focus step width (1-10)? Also what stacking software are you using? Great video as always!

Thanks Luke, mushrooms are popping out everywhere here in Ireland now, I just need to learn what is what more, so many varieties, a lot of charcoal burners and other brittle gills, boletes too, not sure about some of the others I'm trying to identify them everyday, it's not so easy even with good books for reference.

No matter how proficient I think I feel, I should never trust aminita breeds. Too risky for someone with much to lose. I stick to chanterelles and chicken of the woods. On top of turkey tails, Chagas, and birtch polypores.
