Some people should not be allowed to be left in charge of a boat. Even my ten year old knows how to skipper a boat better than that. 😂😂😂
They didn't get stuck. They just learned why the side screens are hinged. Shows something about their priorities that they took the TV ariel down but left the side screens which were higher up!
It’s very obvious that the boat wasn’t going to fit underneath that bridge in the Frits place. I think people like that shouldn’t be left in charge of boats. I think it’s common sense to put the barrier and satellite down before you go under

This bridge is a constant problem for many boats just pleased I'll not be going there anytime soon.
We saw that boat upriver and commented that we were surprised it got under the bridge, even with the screens down!
omg that was tight , i hope the water did'nt rise anymore , or they'll have some explaining to do , like , Why did you even attempt it .

You'd think they'd take the screens and aerial down before getting to the bridge and blocking it while they mess with everything, the sign for the bridge height is well away from the bridge at both sides. I wonder if the hire company charged them for repainting those scraped side screens.

wow didn't know those came down on those boats, and if they knew they came down which it looks like they did know then why didn't they take them down when they took the TV Ariel down plonkers, and I bet they felt like big plonkers as well
Learning curve. No panic, the skippers expression didn't change for the entire episode. Water levels appear to be a bit variable here and there can be flooding.
I do enjoy this part of the river, especially in the summer when it’s busy and there’s lots to watch. In some ways you see more here than at Potter Heigham.

What makes me laugh is peoples inability to just slow down - Full ahead or Full back.
I don’t think people realise until the day before they go home, that it’s meant to be a slow pace of life holiday. Rushing from mooring to mooring they miss so much . ⛵️🛥

A chap scalped himself there a couple of weeks ago, put his head up too early, was in hospital last I heard.
Just in hospital over night I heard. He had 11 stitches apparently .

First rule of boat club, don't be on the upper helm when going under a bridge,
I saw it daily during the summer. Look through the Ludham playlist and you’ll see what I mean 😱🛥
I have taken that boat through Ludham Bridge. Just take everything down. Low tide everyone inside and it’s easy.
Makes me laugh there is even a Low Bridge warning sign on that Bridge and he still tried to get under it! Sadly unlike high road vehicles boats don't have measurement signs onboard (from memory)
How stupid...why would they even try if they thought the sides did not come down..🙄

well that said it all, i seen it all on the broads , been hit when moored ,cast adrift in norwich by drunks, mind you never stop there anymore

B,l@@dy amateurs. People should have to do a half day safety course, like many other countries, before handling any boat.
I totally agree as these boats are not cheep to make/ purchase. Think they just get a trip up the river and a safety chat but I could be wrong.
