Must have side thrusters, good job mate. We are nearly killing each other after we’ve finished mooring. Mad how something so relaxing like going down the river at 5mph can turn into absolute carnage when you come to park! Not for you though, good job
10/10 for that we got in tighter moorings then that in Ireland we have our own boat we’re on a 5th boat now this is the last boat won’t be changing again just only got her a few weeks ago might put some TH-cam videos in the spring
what a mooring, sure you not been in the navy ( Royal or merchant ) because thats what you call precision manoeuvring , I wouldn't attempt that last year when a boat owner noticed us coming in and deliberately moved their boat forward so that I couldn't get in, and although all the other boaters had a go at him and told him to move his boat back he refused and just laughed in my face, he laughed at us that much and started to take the piss about boat hirers and first timers at that I lost it and pulled my boat up along side his boarded his boat and put him on his arse and everyone cheered as one bloke was already on his way round from the other side to do what I had just done, and that was another private boat owner that was against him, After that he offered to move the boat to let me in and I told him to stuff it as he should have done it in the first place and nothing would have happened, found out later he did it to every hire boat that went in there, and he reported me to the authority who went to him to get info ad the name of the boat I was on and all the other boaters told them what he did and he got into trouble himself where as I just got told off, and given advice on what to do if it happened again, anyway your mooring is fantastic great job, I came across this vlog by accident, great video as well
Dave Whitworth saying that,we were hit by a boat at acle bridge by a boat that had girlie buttons, there was plenty of room for them to get in aswell, some folk are just numpties
@@shanehumberstone5262 it can be a bit daunting for newbies. Even experienced skippers can get caught out by the tide and wind. I was blown into a sailing boat at Berney Arms once. The girlie buttons were switched on but I didn't get a chance to use them. That said, we were moored at Acle with one other boat. They set off with the tide and clattered into our bow. I had my camera running and heard a young lad tell his dad they were being recorded. 5 minutes later they returned to check our damage only to promptly clatter into us again on the way back in. That's what the insurance is for the guy said.
Absolutely brilliant, I actually thought you were going to turn the small boat to be moored end on. But you kept your nerve.... Well done

Slow and steady wins it. I always love going up there when it’s packed.
Advice “Go further down”
“How far?”
Advice “As far as you can”
Good advice “Right, you’re clear of the boat now”
😂😂
Well done, was waiting for the crunch
Mighty fine job sir.
That’s mad that was the same space next to the same boat as I was the day before. I was on a 40 ft hire craft it is proper tight
I berthed a large cruiser on that exact same berth about 35 years ago. Great place.
Thrusters make all the difference, nice work.
Beautifully done.
Nicely done. ❤
Great boat handling, if the rest of them on the broads would keep of the pop they would probably do the same fantastic boat handling.
We boat owners like a drink it doesn’t affect how we handle our boats and we don’t need bow thrusters to moor up .
Excellent mooring well done the skipper
Nice moorings, recycling bins and a great pub down the road.
And if you don’t feel like going anywhere the pub will deliver pizza to the boat
Now that's how to Moor a boat well done fella.

Very nice piece of mooring. Great crew not panicking either and shouting unhelpful things which doesn’t help either.
Well done!!
Done it twice mate.Challenging when busy but fun.😂 The pub a few hundred yards down the road is definitely worth visiting.
amazing how easy it can be with duel controls and bow thruster. Nice job
Now that got me excited 👍 excellent
That's how it's done. Great job
well done buttercup proper skills
what a beautiful place
Been there when it’s packed, been there when it’s empty, just as lovely a place either way
Hey man! That's canny good
a beautiful bit of boat handling there, well done
Girly buttons otherwise known as thrusters
Well done Sir
I hope the wind doesn't blow, the lines all have a bit of slack in them, boats could still touch
When is the next episode of your holiday due out?
Class
Oh the joys of a bow thruster.
Nice reversing though
Getting in is the easy bit, its getting out the problem. But worth it as its a lovely place
Nice bit of boat handling there what would you of done without a bow thruster
Get a line or two ashore and warp her in, I would imagine
You don’t need a bow thruster if you know what you are doing
Bow thrusters make jobs light work
Great control, slow and steady always win
It’s a shame we don’t get sensible pilots anymore on the broads

Anthony Parker it’s too easy when you’ve got bow thrusters
Why do I not believe you?
Been there. I’d back in
Nice and slow. Well done.
Silver Elegance? Nice job 🙂
Well done fellow geordies
Those girlie buttons do come in handy.🤣
Dave Whitworth yeah, even a kid can get moored with girlie buttons on board

Making hard work of it. I did it on my own
you are subject to same drinking laws on a boat as you are on the road.
Not entirely true, there isn't a limit like there is with driving. You just have to be sober enough to be able to drive the boat
It’s easy when you’ve got bow thrusters, try it with out them like proper boaters do
The poor people you mean. Peasants.
If you haven't got bow thrusters, it's because you can't afford a proper boat. 😂😂😂😂😂
@@BBob1 Or because you don't need them and can handle a boat properly!
Relax.
@@liquidhighway exactly, bow thrusters are called girly buttons where I come from
Bow thrusters . Shouldn`t be allowed
