I know nothing about this sport, in fact I don’t even know why I clicked on this video. SO GLAD I DID.! The skill is incredible, the camaraderie is refreshing and I’m so jealous that I’m too old to take this up. Keep safe and keep me jealous!

Next to Rampage, the Mega is probably the craziest competition on two wheels. Going so fast you can't see whats coming and your riding om snow. Not to mention the length. The pros gotta be tapped by the time they finish.
This is the first time I have come across a vid like this or seen anything this intense loved it have you ever broken any bones riding these trails or course which ever it maybe

Yeah he realy said it was worth it! Even in the hospital he talked about next years race to his girlfriend, (this was a big no go!)

The trails are awesome at Alpe d’huez (if you like rough and rocky stuff!) Next year we will be back with an even bigger team. So I think thats gonna be the next big video. In the mean time we maybe have some other smaller mtb video’s comming out. Thanks for the sub!

The first part (Kevin's race) is shot with the Sony X-3000. The second part (the qualyfier) is shot with a Rylo 360 camera.
It looks like Rylo 360 turns by itself!
You can do that yourself in the Rylo app. So after filming, you can decide what to look at, or what to follow.
i liked the training part a lot! can you please tell me more about it? did you ever participate in the event before this attempt? how many days you spent training before the race? what kind of diet did you have? where were you staying? how much is the price for participating? what repairs and unexpected brakenings were you prepared to tackle? what part of the track do you think is the most difficult for a newbie to tackle? can you race alone or is it better to be part of a team? thank you!
Thanks! The training part is realy great! You can ride the whole week on a lift pass for just €35. So you can use all the lifts, and you can ride the whole bike park.
Its way more fun, and also a bit safer to go and ride the whole week with 2 persons or more.
No special diet is needed (just pizza will keep you alive). But for the race its smart to take a gell thing when your half way.
You need a full suspension bike with a minnimum of 150mm travel (and a dropperpost would be nice). Everything can break on a race like this. (The last 3 times i had to spend between €600 and €1200 to fix my bike up again).
The most difficult thing is the qualification route. Make shure you practice that realy good! A bad qualyfication means no mass start (like i had the last 2 years).
In total (without the broken parts and travel cost) the week will cost you around €350-€400

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i must start saving for it, then! :( ... specially to invest on the bike... i've got a specialized stumpjumper fsr carbon 29 in this very moment, bought brand new on release in 2016, yet travel is too little, as i could guess. i was thinking of upgrading to this giant reign 2017 27.5 which i believe is good enough, components-wise, to safely ride this race (not sure if i already mentioned about the model). fingers crossed i'll have enough money next year for the whole thing - and my ride i've been told i should sell it before the end of the year, to be able to make enough money out of it to buy the giant next

Thanks mate! Yeah, I can download the clip myself :) And surprisingly I just got some bruises, nothing else. I did break my rear brake lever though, which was quite annoying the rest of the way. You'll see in my video tomorrow ;)
